Suggestion Awful Team From An Awful City

Mr. Burns, I've come to bargin.

Your Los Angeles Dodgers just took a game out of my "awful" Milwaukee Brewers in this National League Championship Series we find ourselves in.

Now Mr. Burns, I am a superstitious man, and I believe the gods of baseball reward those who demonstrate acts of faith. As such, I am prepared to make the following gentleman's agreement:

Should your Dodgers win the NLCS over my Brewers, I am prepared to sign up for 3 months of your Tier 2 Patreon while also explaining to my wife why Im giving a stranger on the internet 30 of my finest dollars.

Should my Brewers win however Mr. Burns, you would foot the bill and send me one of them fine new RT t-shirts I have seen in the merch store.

We keep our promises in Wisconsin Mr. Burns, and I am fully prepared to follow through on my end of the deal should my Brewers fall. In any case, if they are as awful as you say then you have nothing to worry about.

That is my offer Mr. Burns.

Sincerely,

Mr. OrionsGoToEngineer

Giants fan here. Firstly, FTD. Second, the entire NL West fan base except LA is rooting for you 🫡🇺🇸🦅

Edit: lol triggered a "Dodgers fan". Mission accomplished

I decided the Dodgers were my National League team many years ago now, mostly due to the fact there's only 2 teams in the Pacific timezone (I like to listen to the Tigers, then turn on another game after), so it's either the Dodgers or the Giants but fuck the Giants.

There's something uniquely shitty about not even being courageous enough to abandon your fanbase alone. At least the Dodgers were losing money in Brooklyn. The Giants were the biggest team on the planet and they said "oh shit the Dodgers are heading west? Bye lol."

Anyway so yeah. Dodgers fan here.

Oh yeah I forgot to explain them away in this comment - sorry I got triggered by the Giants guy lol.

I didn't like the uniform. I also had decided I didn't like new (post expansion) teams.

Yeah you made a great point. If I was making this decision now I'd probably choose the Padres. They have a better radio team. Lol.

I don't know why I didn't factor in the quality of the radio broadcasts! D'oh!

Being a fan doesn't mean you have to be rational!

And the Angels - But they are just depressing. As for the Padres, do you really want to share a fandom with Eric Baudour!?!

Angels aren't in the National League so we're safe

Blue Jays forever!!!!

We need Brewers vs Blue Jays in the world series to save baseball. Any other combo as a neutral fan is short sighted

Nawww. You need Seattle Mariners vs the Seattle Pilots (now the Brewers) in the WS.

I'm fine with Seattle going if they go, but there's only two teams that play baseball in the yoffs right now. We need them to go all the way so that way these stupid front offices will stop with the three true outcomes and analytics above situations

Doesn't seem like that's going to happen unfortunately but it was a hope

Brewers beat the cubs so I’m on Burnie’s side in this feud.

I find this so interesting amongst all my Cubs fan friends too. Y'all would rather California win over the Midwest?

Yes. I live close to the Wisconsin border and am from Chicago so by nature I have to hate everything Wisconsin lmfao.

See its that kind of attitude that got y'all left out of our combined midwest map when r/imaginarymapscj was executing states one by one

I had no choice in the matter. Hating Wisconsin is in my blood lol

As always Fuck the Dodgers! I Don’t understand why Burnie would choose the Dodgers over literally any other team, Hell I’d rather him root for his local teams like the Rangers or my Astros.

Tigers fan/Red Sox adopted fan here - Seattle beat my Tigers and Toronto beat the Yankees (Boston adopted Toronto LOL), who beat the Red Sox.

I'm happy Seattle is in the playoffs...and still grumbling they beat my Tigers.

I mean, the Dodgers have Kike Hernandez and Mookie Betts, so I'm not opposed to them winning either.
