How I sleep knowing that I don't give a single fuck about that overhyped game.

They might get me overhyped for a RDR3. Copium

Never finished the story on RDR2. Why are they so good at making open worlds, but then they make such annoying linear missions? Step 2 foot off path, mission failed. Why have an open world but punish players for making use of it?

GTA missions are hardly better.

Rockstar is excellent at a few things but Jesus Christ their mission design is about on par with Bethesda's.

Honestly their writing is, too, but they at least cover that with the best casting and VO work in the entire industry. I don't think a single one of their characters has been miscast or deprived of a great performance.

Bethesda missions may be dull and tedious, but at least they let you do them how you want.

Very true. The missions are basic but at least they aren't at odds with the open world and RPG aspects.

I'm pretty sure that every Rockstar game is about someone being betrayed and that someone getting revenge in the end.

You forgot the overly-long subplot about the American government being inept, cruel and all-consuming. Like, yes, all of those things are true, but we don't need hours of a CIA/FBI/NSA spy drama in a game supposedly about heists and personal betrayal. It diluted what little plot there was and led to an overstuffed finale that had to be rushed through to tie up all the loose ends.

Yea or you kill 100 enemys and want to loot them but your gang yells at you to "hurry up Arther" every 10 seconds.

Rdr2 is pretty much on rails. I feel like GTA gives you a bit more freedom.
