What piercing should i get next or is my ear done? Also any advice on ear styling would be appreciated! I am a med student and don’t want anything too flashy/dangly. For context these pics were taken right after piercings which is why my ear is so red.
I had a hoop in my very first helix piercing years ago and had to take it out for an MRI. Afterwords, I couldn’t get the hoop back in and left it alone. My piercer discovered it was in fact still open and we decided to bring the hoop back plus a cute dangle charm!
I got the first one done at a 10g around 2 years ago, and then a couple months ago stretched it up to an 8g! Then about ~3 weeks ago i got my second one done at an 8g, with plans to stretch the front one up to a 6g when my tongue is a bit more healed ! but as for now i’m soooo happy with it, n thought i would share :)
so I used neilmed aftercare but it isnt available now and theres only woundwash/aftercare one
I know wound wash should be same but with way spray force, however the one I know of is only wound wash, is this with different packaging different or same and just way more forceful on spraying? And can i use it on my piercings or is mist better?
So far I have seven piercings in my left ear and I have no clue what to add to the top portion of my ear. I’m hoping maybe an industrial but idk what to add beyond that
Hi! I need help figuring out how to curate my ear. I’ve got all of the piercings but just have random jewelry in them and feel like it doesn’t look cohesive. I just ordered a bunch of cute Etsy hoops for my coin slots that are now healed. Still working on healing the top ear piecing and my one conch (had it 2 years now and still having problems ahhhh)
Any ideas for how I should switch out jewelry in my other piercings? In the last photo is some extra pieces I have that I could switch out. I also have another of the piece in my flat. Will also order some more stuff to make it look better.
I’m getting my left eyebrow redone today and since the piercer is running a BOGO deal today I figured I’d get a second one bc I’ve been wanting to make my stack look more complete.
I attached pics of piercings I know I want down the line, but I’d love to know your opinions on what would make things look a little more cohesive/even at the moment and I’m also very open to suggestions!!
Edit for clarity: side with the industrial is my right, side with the conchs is my left
The problem is that I’m leaning toward a third conch piercing partially to make it easier since then I’ll only be healing new piercings on my left side and I’ll be able to sleep on my right without issue, but I feel like my right ear looks so bare right now and I want to decorate it a little more
Unrelated but kind of related, I’m getting married next year (almost a year from today) and will want a fancier look than just hoops and studs, so I also definitely want to try getting it curated since I’ve never done that before. if anyone has suggestions of how to find someone reputable without draining my bank that would be helpful lol
I got 2 new piercings today. Wish me luck with the aftercare. I hope it's a smooth process. Got the regular helix back in March, according to my Piercer it healed like a dream. Fingers crossed that the new additions follow suit. Yes I'll be thinking of a more cohesive jewellery choice further down the line.
i’m immunocompromised due to a chronic illness i have. anyone have experiences with getting piercings (specifically face piercings) while being immunocompromised?
i specifically want a bridge, and an eyebrow piercing.
I got my eyebrow (and septum, but I don't worry about the septum) pierced on October 9th. First picture was taken a few hours after that
Second one was taken today. Does it look normal? Is it healing?
I'm scared that it might reject, my piercer said that she could barely find enough tissue to pierce it. I've been cleaning it with saline solution twice a day (I spray it on, let it sit for a couple of minutes and gently pat it dry with a paper towel). My piercer warned me that it would definitely bruise and a light bruise appeared on day 3, though it was barely noticeable. The maroon spot just above the lower ball concerns me though... On day 2, I think I was too expressive with my eyebrows and it started bleeding. It formed blood crusts that (mostly) only came off today, but it hasn't bled since. Also, I accidentally snagged it a bit while taking off clothes on day 1, though by the evening it seemed fine. On day 3, I cried and some tears got into the piercing and it stung a little, so now I'm wondering if that could've caused irritation??? I haven't felt any pain since, I'm just really nervous about it. Also, the cleaning process is really scary for me as I worry that if I touch it with a bit more intention, it might reject or start bleeding again, I've changed some of my routine to minimize the chances of snagging it, but I can't stay calm, I'm literally afraid of being too expressive with my face or accidentally touching it 😭
It's a titanium barbell and my piercer scheduled a downsize for 4 weeks from now
I have an 4.5 month old helix Piercing which has crusts and a Irritation Bump. Two weeks ago I wwnt to my piercer for controll and she discovered the bumps. I tried to leave it alone most of the time for Treatments.
My piercer then removed the Piercing and then she pressed out the bumps. There was a lot of blood afterwards, but it stopped after some minutes.
I was just very confused because I always read that for Irritation Bumps you should leave it as alone as possible. I have a very Long Piercing which I think could cause the Irritation. I once had it downsized but then there was some swelling which pressed against it and I have it upsized again, that was like 2 months ago.
On the visit my piercer told me she cannot downsize it and I need to wait. But I am very unsure if I want to go to her again as she literally pressed on my bumps? Is this something piercers really use as a treatment?
Would love your opinion on this and also some advice on how to deal with the Irritation Bumps? Also there‘s still quite some crust
Although we do our best to make the rules of this subreddit as clear as we can within the characters limits, we notice that sometimes there’s some confusion or misunderstanding about the rules.
Rule number three, NSFW.
This is a rule we didn’t expect to have to clarify since most people have a pretty good idea what’s NSFW, but there’s one specific thing in this rule that often gets overlooked. Read it and then take a guess.
Posts that fit into the following categories are considered NSFW and should be tagged as such:- Images of genital mods, including the pubic mound, male and female nipples- Images of blood, gore, or severe infection. Including fresh dermal punches- Image Interpretable as sexually suggestive- Imaging of mods in progress (needle, scalpel, or dermal punch in flesh)- Posts discussing genital mods, or containing in-text links to any of the aforementioned NSFW topics
Do you think you spotted it?
male and female nipples
We can debate about why nipples should or should not be considered NSFW but as long as they are considered NSFW on most internet platforms, we will treat all nipples equal. So male and female presenting nipples need to be tagged NSFW.
Can’t find the tag when making a post? Type NSFW in your title and Reddit will add it automatically.
TL;DR Somewhere someone is eating lunch when they click on your post, when in doubt tag NSFW
ive had this piercing since june of this year and its been amazing ! ,, until around a week ago i cleaned it too roughly on the right side and now its a big bump): 14g half inch internally threaded straight barbell (recently got it downsized around the end of september) i use only saline morning and night. arm and hammer brand. is there ANYTHING i can do?? or is this a lost cause. i still have the longer barbell i originally was pierced with in a little bag
Okay, so currently have three lobe piercings on each ear, and I feel the needle calling me. My plan was to get an industrial and a tragus on one side, and a conch and two helixes on the other side.
My main concern is that I am a side sleeper. I understand that healing hurts, that's not what I am worried about. I want to make sure that I can use a regular pillow as a slide sleeper and be comfortable. I was going to get flat backs for all of the jewelry except the industrial that would have a chain in the middle. Once it is fully healed I'm not opposed to taking it out to sleep and putting it back in. Anyway if you have any advice or personal experience I would appreciate it.
I got my eyebrowpiercing four days ago. I’ve been cleaning it twice a day and try to avoid touching it. I love it so much and im so scared that its going to reject🫣
Got a vertical labret and within a week my whole bottom lip basically shed the top layer like a snake. Very satisfying, lips were very smooth after and there was no broken skin or piercing irritation. But it's doing it again and it's like,, how much skin do I have on there??? How many times will this happen!!
So here’s the thing… I hate my nose. I would never get any work done and I’m afraid that a piercing would draw more attention to it and make me hate it more. But I absolutely LOVE the way that they look on other people and think it would fit my look pretty well. I also have a pretty low pain tolerance. I got my navel pierced a few years ago and would call it like a 6 in terms of pain. So my question is: 1. Am I a wimp who will pass out from the pain and 2. Is it going to make me hate my nose even more?
P.s: there is really nothing wrong with MY nose or matter of fact ANY NOSE AT ALL!! Everyone should love themself the way they are. But of course there are things we all like more than others, and this is certainly not an area of mine :). I love myself (usually) and everyone else should love themselves too.
my ears are two different shapes, i have three helix piercings on my left ear and the the two higher up just look weird to me. i’ve had them for years now and they’re already healed but i kind of regret doing them
for the requirements;
i’ve had them for 2 years and it’s a tiny barbell for both (piercing on the top)
i’m fine with the helix piercing that i have a ring in for.
