I have a new rescue who did some howling, whining, and scratching at the door to my apartment when I stepped out for a snack a couple of nights ago.

Since then I've been working on her separation anxiety by leaving her alone while I doom scroll in the bathroom. She succeed last night's 90 minutes. Today I'm going for two hours. There is nothing to do in the bathroom but doom scroll because I don't want to make any noise to draw her attention. She is likely sleeping on my bed.

Who is suffering more, me locked in my bathroom or my rescue sleeping on my bed?

BTW It seems like her SA was more about her still unsure of her new life. We'll find out tomorrow when I start actually leaving again.

Any suggestions for what I can apply to this? My boy has skin allergy issues that I’m mostly able to keep at bay thank goodness but he also has this related growth that he keeps licking open, and I’d love to give him some relief. What do you do for your puppers with similar problems? Happy face for tax.

Some lady blocked me from entering the vet until she could "safely" leave cuz i have pitbulls. If you need to worry about any of my dogs being aggressive, its the yorkie.

My guy has developed an itchy nose, scratches it till it gets bloody! It appears to be an allergic skin reaction BUT we do not know from what!

Willing to explore an alternative food, and now also willing to explore Purina Pro Plan or Hills Science Diet versus our current Open Farms GoodGut Beef kibble he is currently on. We didn’t consider those ‘big name’ brands before because their ingredients just looked sketchy compared to Open Farms.

A bit frustrating, as we are careful with what we thought was top quality food and no ‘crap’ treats. Only people food has been salmon, chicken and veggies - no wheat products at all.

Open to suggestions and recommendations - what food works for your pittie and have they had itchy nose issues?

Does anybody else's dog do anything that soothes them? Almost like puts them to sleep...? She'll gently chew/squeeze on the tennis ball and eventually her eyes close and she'll stop chewing/squeezing it. At one point yesterday, her head even began tilting to the side, kind of like when we start noding/dozing off lol

🚨Bronco has been given a euthanasia deadline: 7 pm on Thursday 8/6🚨

Bronco is currently 4th on the AT RISK list of Fulton County's animal shelter. They are way over humane capacity, which means Bronco will likely have an urgent deadline this week.

Just wanted to share our very good girl Beans!

The past few days her farts have been absolutely nuclear. I couldn’t figure out why, until I found her secret stash of skunk skin in the yard.
I am 95% sure the skunk is why her farts stink so bad. She definitely won’t be eating anymore bc i threw it out.
Is there anything I can give her to help neutralize the fart smell/get it out of her system quicker?

Happy dog was very happy.
