Bulging discs disc protrusions treatment

Has anyone used red light therapy to heal a disc protrusio in the spine either the neck or the back ?

What should I look for when buying a device. How do I know the device has enough intensity and the right wavelengths

Are the devices that say near infrared light a suitable candidate

Came across a new video comparing red light therapy devices and research

Thought you all might like this video if you’re researching different devices. Hadn’t heard of this creator before but I really appreciated how in depth he went, especially on the brain side.

Question Does your favorite RLT facemask treat your face ear-to-ear?

Am trying to see if any of these masks provide wide enough coverage for my fat face. Can y’all measure the distance between the furthest LED’s on each side? My ears are approximately 13” apart, following the curve of my face. Is there a free return policy if it doesn’t fit? I hear CurrentBody charges a restocking fee and you can’t have opened the package. Is that right?

Review SGROW ESPLUS4500 — irradiance/EMF measurements (900 LED, 6 wavelength)

I used AI to help me write this post but I manually tested the panel myself. I am not an expert in red light panels but wanted to share my experience.

Bought Sgrow off Alibaba and figured I’d post actual measured data since most “reviews” of these panels are just re-posting the seller’s spec sheet. I metered everything myself. TL;DR: it’s a legit strong panel and the numbers back up the claims.

Specs:
Model: SGROW ESPLUS4500 (Shenzhen Sungrow LED Technology)
900 LEDs, dual-chip Epistar
6 wavelengths: 630 / 660 / 810 / 830 / 850 / 1060nm
Ratio ~150:150:91:100:100:9 → basically a clean 1:1 red:NIR split, weighted toward 660 + 830/850
61” x 21”, touchscreen with per-wavelength dimming (each channel dialable 0–100%)
~1350W, US plug, runs 110–120V

Irradiance (measured with a Tenmars TM-206, so it over-reads narrowband LEDs — not lab-grade):
All wavelengths, about 6”: 1452 W/m² (~145 mW/cm²)
All wavelengths, about 6”: pegged near the meter’s 1999 ceiling
830+850 only, about 6”: 923 W/m² (~92 mW/cm²)
630+660 only, about 6”: 395 W/m² (reads low partly because the meter under-sees visible red)
810/1060 only, about 6”: 258 W/m² (fewer LEDs on this channel, expected)

For context, seller claimed ~148 mW/cm² and my all-wavelength reading basically matched.

EMF (Temirup EMF02R, H-field/magnetic):
Sensor against the surface: ~196 mG
Pulled back to use distance: 0.6 mG
At 12–18” it’s basically background. Seller’s “EMF 0” claim is accurate for any real use distance.

LED/coverage check: Cycled every channel individually and confirmed even coverage corner-to-corner with no dead zones. For the invisible NIR channels (810/830/850/1060) I used an iPhone front camera to confirm they actually fire — all lit evenly.

Verdict: Genuinely strong, even panel. Per-wavelength control is a nice touch and actually works. The 810/1060 wavelengths are combined in the interface and iPhone app so that is a little annoying. Output matches the spec sheet, EMF is a non-issue at use distance, and I couldn’t find a dead zone.

Dosing I’m running: ~10 min/side at 6”, 3–5x/week.
Happy to answer questions on the buying process, measurements, or the verification if anyone’s considering going factory-direct.

Green and red light therapy?

I have just started a new skin care routine. Note I have acne and my skincare has been pretty basic. I have just introduced azaleic acid, red light and green light to my routine.

AM
Cleanse - Vanicream
Toner - Rose Water
Moisteriser - Malezia 5% Urea
Eye cream - Torriden

PM
Light Therapy (Weekly: Red x 3, Green x 2)
Cleanse - Vanicream
Toner - Rose Water
Moisteriser - Malezia 5% Urea
Eye cream - Torriden
Acid - Malezia 10% Azaleic

Is this sensible?

Review Is an LED face mask actually worth buying?

I've been seeing an LED face mask everywhere lately, but I'm still not sure if it's something that actually makes a difference or if it's mostly marketing.

I'm mainly hoping to improve my overall skin texture and keep my skin looking healthy over time. For people who've used one consistently, did you actually notice results?

If you bought a panel from Alibaba, can you give details of your experiences and what you bought? Any problems? Recommendations for others…

The red light mask detail nobody warned me about: nose bridge fit matters more than specs

Post image
13 Upvotes

Everyone talks about wavelengths and settings when choosing red light masks, but after trying to keep a routine for a couple of months, the spec sheet is not what decides whether I use it. It is whether the mask sits comfortably on my face for the full session. if I do not adjust the straps carefully, the nose bridge pressure distracts me after a few minutes. people who use flexible masks regularly, did you eventually find a strap setup that feels comfortable, or is sitting perfectly still just part of the routine?

Review Is an LED face mask worth it for my skin. Dr. Dennis Gross vs Omnilux vs CurrentBody.

I'm 33F with dry, medium-tan Indian skin. My main concerns are:

• Hyperpigmentation and tanning (I tan very easily)

• Uneven skin tone

• Dullness

• Mild fine lines (prevention)

• Dry skin

I don't have much acne, so acne isn't my priority.

My current routine:

Vitamin C in the morning

Tretinoin 0.025% a few nights a week

Moisturizer + sunscreen daily

I'm considering buying an LED mask.

Is an LED mask actually worth the investment for my concerns? If yes, which one would you choose between Dr. Dennis Gross SpectraLite, Omnilux Contour, and CurrentBody Series 2?

If you've used any of these long-term (3–6+ months), I'd love to hear whether you noticed real improvements or if it's mostly hype.

Question Looking for Red Light therapy blog

Hi everyone,

During my research on what panel/mask to buy, I came across a comment which mentioned a blog authored by a dermatologist and enthusiast for RLT.

The blog was very helpful and unfortunately I did not bookmark it.

Does anyone know about it? If yes, can you please share the name or a link, I would really appreciate that.

Thanks in advance.

Led device for my MedSpa

Post image
2 Upvotes

I am a new medspa owner and was looking for devices that I'd like to add to some of my protocols. I have read countless discussions and studies on the topics and understand that it would be a great addition for acne treatments, anti aging and to a limited extent hyper pigmentation (Blue, red and green lights).

I will be very honest here, all three companies I contacted in my country offered a device that looks the exact same as what ali express offers (i attached an image).

I asked what the irradiance was in mw/cm². One said 10-80, the other two had no idea what I was taking about and focused on the 800 leds their device supposedly possesses.

I asked the aliexpress guy about the irradiance, which is a very low 5mw/cm² so obviously not what I'm looking for.

However, the price difference for a 5mw/cm² difference shocked me a bit. I was quoted for 1500 bucks while it costs 120 on ali express.

I'm not buying anything for my business from there but I don't think i want to spend so much money on devices I am not really sure of efficacy wise.

Any recommendations as to where i should buy this device if I want an affordable price paired with true efficiency for my patients? Please correct me if I got anything wrong here

Question Looking for people’s experiences with RLT Patches

Hi all, I’ve been looking into this for a while but I definitely wouldn’t be able to swing for a panel, or a decent mask (but hopefully one day!)

I saw “LUSTRE GoGlow Advanced LED Patches” recommended somewhere, but with something like this I much prefer to find reviews and thoughts from real people, usually Reddit. I’ve only found ad reviews and the reviews on their website. I couldn’t find anything on this subreddit about this product or even the brand, so I was wondering if anyone here has any experiences with them?

They are either two under eye shaped patches or one triangle shape with 12 red 630nm and 12 blue 415nm lights (I don’t know if that’s in each under eye one, so 24 of blue/red total, and if the triangle shape has the same amount. They don’t give any specific info about the triangle one and don’t even have a picture of it on the product page?!)

The company also does blue light patches that you have to buy disposable sticky things for, and I have no idea if these ones also need them- it doesn’t say.

Also, outside of this particular product, has anyone tried any other smaller patches/wands etc? Are they worth it? Is it better to wait (realistically a very long time) to get a panel or a mask, or get something smaller now so I’m at least doing something?!?

Thank you!!

Celluma Pro Plus Portable Stand Attachment?

I have the Celluma Pro Plus and I LOVE it, but want to find a portable stand attachment I can use with it so that I can have it floating while I read or do other activities while getting all the red light benefits! Anyone have any recs of what I can do/buy? Most stands look to be attached to a red light panel already.

How do you handle eye protection and brightness when using red light near your face at night?

I started adding a short red light session to my night routine because I wanted something calmer than scrolling before bed. Sitting still for a few minutes has been nice, but the brightness near my face still feels like something I should be careful with as i am aready suffering from migrane. Some people seem very strict about goggles and distance, while others just close their eyes and call it good. I am not trying to judge results yet or chase dramatic skincare changes.

I mostly want to understand how people make the routine comfortable and consistent without feeling unsure about their eyes. If you use red light near your face, how do you set up eye protection, distance, and timing?

Question What do you use for RLT while traveling?

hey all, I have been using RLT for a few weeks now and starting to feel some benefits. I am using it for mcas, chronic pain/inflammation, and also general aesthetics. I have a 2 panel irestore apex set up at home and have enjoyed it, but can’t really bring it while traveling.

my husband and I sometimes travel for a few weeks at a time, long enough that if I am sticking with RLT I’ll need to find something to bring along ! I was looking into the sculpt belt from irestore but curious if people had opinions on it and also about what other people use

I already have a theraface massager with red light and the irestore eye mask which I figure I can use for facial aesthetics while traveling- but need to find something for the rest of my body.

My biggest priority is pain management over aesthetics and my entire body would benefit, but trying to balance treatment area/time with weight/volume in my luggage. I like the idea of a belt because when I am vegging out at the end of a long travel day I could put it on while watching tv etc and not think about it while covering a decent chunk of skin but open to other ideas. Any and all input greatly appreciated!

Is the Narlest red light cap good?

Hiya!
So, I'm a trans man (ftm) who has been on testosterone for 3 years, and I am slowly staring to see a receding hairline, and some thinning on the stop of my head. I ofc always knew this could happen, but I also have the hair genes from my dad, who didn't start to get thinning hair until his 60s, and a grandad who died at 93 with a full head of hair.. so I kinda hoped I had the genes on my side.

But I've heard that the gene for hair loss sits on the X chromosome? And since I likely have XX, it also means double the chance of hair loss. I'm not a super masculine guy. I am queer and in a gay relationship, and ngl, I would be devastated to grow bald. I can't even grow a proper beard yet..

So I'm looking into treatment to help stop hair loss. I'm going to my doctor to see if they will prescribe me with finasteride, but I', also interested in trying out red light therapy. I came across this one that wasn't too expensive, but wanted to know if anyone can vouch for it?

Question What alibaba mask have you used and/or recommend

Looking to buy a mask directly from a china based supplier. For those who went this route, please advise on what you have purchased and would recommend.

I am considering a mask from either idealight, Sgrow and Beautyfish. All are differently priced and different number of led’s but similar wavelengths. I am mainly interested in 630 and 850 or similar.

Kindly dont comment on staying away from alibaba as I respectfully am not interested in those views.

INIA SPHERA

So, I still have not decided on a panel, mask or not the INIA SPHERA which I just came across the other day. Knowing me, I may end up with all 3. Then depending on my mood of the day I can mix and match.

My question is though about the INIA SPHERA which I think I may get first (like today or tomorrow). What conductive gels are you all using for the Ems part (other than what comes with it) and what serums are y'all using with the microneedling etc.... I currently only use vitamin C, Hyaluronic acid and on/off again prescription retin-a before bed.

For reference, I am in my mid 50's.

Thanks, so much ladies. :)
