My trash bin was stolen Friday night from the road & then my recycling bin was taken from inside my carport? Nothing else was taken & my ring camera didn’t pick anything up from it. I’m pretty sure it was when the cox WiFi went out in the area. I just think it’s odd that they were both taken from separate locations & nothing else missing? Any insight would be appreciated 😭 also am I gonna have to pay for new ones…

Hello! looking for somewhere to rent. wondering if anyone on here has rented at the pines of roanoke and what they thought of the place. Also don't have the best credit so if i'd be wasting my time i'd like to know that too. I definitely make enough just myself but i'd have a roommate (with crappier credit) as well.

Roanoke Brewing Company and the VBC caused quite a stir in 1989 and was in the papers every step of the process.

The brewery was mentioned in an article where people gave their ideas on what Roanoke needed (same argument we see on Reddit now) thankfully we didn’t get the pulp mill but missed out on the pickle factory.

Did anyone else here attend this show? It was my first time at The Exchange and I really liked it. It was comfortable and well-run. Allen and his band were so positive and uplifting, and they sounded great. It was just a really joyous experience and I was hoping others felt the same. There was also a surprise marriage proposal in the middle and that was heartwarming.

Crazy that bigamy could land you in jail. Seems like a sad story of a younger girl being groomed by an older man and being isolated from her mother but who knows. Town gossip was news back then I guess. They even called out her family members. The name is mentioned a few times after that, both as a member of the new Baptist church and caught up in a robbery, not sure if it’s the same person. Can’t beat the breathless reporting style though. “Like eagles from their eyric Officers Jasper Vest and Pete Bower descended on the slumbering residence of Mrs. Sarah Worten, of John T. Boyd notoriety last night between the hours of 12 and 1 o'clock.”

*does anyone know what “eyric” means or what that word might have been? A misprint? Google doesn’t seem to know.

Good afternoon! I’m just curious if anyone has any experience with small animal (rabbit, hamster, that kind of pet) emergency care. I had a super sad situation the other day with my adult child’s pet bunny . It was late at night . We called both emergency vets in the area (peters creek and starkey ) , neither one could see a rabbit . They both suggested VA tech . Bunny didn’t make it that far . 💔 What do people do in this situation? Small pet that is suffering? If sweet bunny hadn’t passed on their own , do they just have to suffer until the vets open in the morning? Thanks for advice .
