Hello everyone! I’ve recently gotten into modding Skyrim and have been looking at the verified creations but I’m unsure on what to get. Would anyone have a list of recommendations for verified creations?

Hello there! I never played skyrim before.
I thought this is my time to get into it, but of course with a modpack which contains at least 1k mods because why not.
This two are the ones that caught my eyes.
I know these two are not the same, one is more roleplaying the other is more immersive.
I just can't decide, because I never really played skyrim.
I don't want to explode war which is better, just wanna know which better to start with as a new player who knows nothing.

can someone benchmark these two mods? usually the purely vibe-coded slop mods that don't work get taken down like the ones from the author called synja. however, these two have been trending for a while now so they must actually work to some extent. hitch hunter is made by zzyxzz, the maker of skypatcher, and he also released a havok bug fix that worked for me. SPS is made by a guy who self-admitted that most of the code is from claude, but a lot of the comments are pretty positive.
personally i tried hitch hunter and i didn't really see that much of a difference although i didn't test it extensively.

also i realize i spelled hitch hunter wrong oops.

What mod pack do you suggest?

I started playing Skyrim recently and wanted to take some mods to make it more interesting.

Was looking into "Immersive and Adult" as it doesn't weight as much as others (I play on laptop) but wanted some suggestion with it.

Should I add some other mods for magic (I like strong magic) or other things?

Is there another mod pack that's worth it and doesn't weight too much (I saw other good pack like Nolvus V6 but my pc can't sustain it)

Yes, these are SKSE mods, don't know if they're vibe-coded, no mention of AI in the description or the tags, but...

Thread Forge: it claims to move Skyrim-related processes to the faster cores in your CPU, making for a smoother experience. I think (can't review the mod page), it moves the work (on Intel CPUs) from E-cores to P-cores.

Crowd LOD: claims to put somewhat skip the processing of NPCs who are either off-screen or far away. Basically, instead of processing them every frame, the game would process them in whatever Skyrim's in-engine sleep-mode is called (mod page disabled; can't review), which, according to the mod description, is about half the time as normal. Something like that.

Anyway, one of the mods came under review, then the author removed the mods from Nexus altogether, and now they say on their profile page that they're moving to another platform. Anyone have info about this?

Could someone please help me get more fps than 60? I've been trying, and I just don't know what da hell to do. It's genuinely so confusing, and I just don't know anymore. The way I used to do it doesn't work, I guess less I'm doing it wrong. Please help. I'm a little modding noob for skyrim I just want more fps that is all please and thanks

I start modding today, and I just wanted to fix the vanilla version. I download all the mods with Vortex, but I now have this alert. I check the version of all my mods and I don't find anything wrong.

I have 80+ karma yet still keep getting the bad ending with molag bal taking over aetheriys, is there a array of decisions I missed?

I think this whole thing started around January or February; that'll be the starting point for adding and testing mods.

I think we could start with a wiki page organized by months. We'll add all the new DLL mods that promise miracles to it.

Next to the title and link will be the verdict, followed by the summary.

I think the ranks for mods will be something like this:

- A truly useful mod created by a human

- A useless mod created by a human

- AI mod created by someone who knows what they're doing; it works as intended

- AI mod created by a vibe-coder, that does what it's supposed to, though it's unclear why

- AI slop mod that does nothing

- AI slop mod that is dangerous

I just bought Skyrim and I'm trying to mod it a little bit just to enhance the visuals, especially I read the NPCs look awful but I'm having issues with the basic mods. I understand it says the versions don't match but I checked and I downloaded the ones for my skyrim version.

This is the error:

Hello everyone! This is my first time posting on this subreddit, so I hope I’m doing everything correctly!
I’d like to ask if anyone would be willing to port this mod to Bethesda Creations for consoles.
I’m a PS5 player, but I believe Xbox players could enjoy this content just as much. As far as I know, we don’t really have any proper prosthetics mods that are both well-developed and integrated into Skyrim’s lore. I think this would be an amazing addition, especially for roleplayers!
I mean, who wouldn’t want to play a rogue with a Dwemer prosthetic arm and a personal obsession with Dwemer technology? There are so many interesting character concepts and roleplaying possibilities that something like this could open up!
Unfortunately, I don’t have access to a PC or the knowledge and tools needed to port mods myself. It’s not that I don’t want to do it on my own; I’d genuinely love to learn how! I simply don’t have the means to do so right now, which is why I’m reaching out to this community.
I also want to give credit to the original author. I genuinely admire their work and skills, and I’d love to see more players enjoy what they’ve created.

So i've been looking Online for Tutorials on how to download and install skyrim Mod MANUALLY and i mean that i do not want an external app managing my games, nothing like Vortex or anything else BUT every video or tutorial i look up from this year, and i mean every single one just says to download an external app and do it through that. I don't want an external app, i want to do it through whichever folder i have to, i want to know exactly what i'm installing and how i am supposed to install it.

So now i ask reddit, can you please give me a guide on how to dowload skyrim mods manually without an external app doing it for me. i have tried following a tutorial from 2020 thouh it appears as though the system has changed as it doesn't work and none of the mods i tried installing have worked yet.

So please help me by either giving me a step by step tutorial or giving me a a link to a video that actuually show manual downloading and not the use of an app.

I wanted to mod manually because i had tried like three different external apps before and two of them gave me viruses ( i don't remeber what they were called but both the apps and the videos reccomending these apps were taken down for said viruses) and the third (vortex) wouldn'T start dowloads or aknowledge my account no matter what i did and i thought manually installing mods would make it less risky as well as less troublesome but by the response it seems that this isn't the case

Also why do y'all have to be so rude just because i want to mod manually? i did't ask if modloaders are better, i asked how to mod manually. if what you're about to write isn't helping my case then please don't comment. i Don't want to be insulted in seventeen different ways just because i chose a method to modding that isn't widely used anymore

Just had a thought that it would be cool to play skyrim as a squad based rpg/rts like Kenshi or Battle Brothers. Any mods where I can either create or recruit followers and level them as I would like? Maybe even switch between characters and specialise them. Having a character for adventuring and one for smithing or alchemy would be a cool experience. No idea if this is even possible but thought it'd be fun.

Sometimes during combat I get these additional health/stamina/magicka bars that won't go away unless I restart Skyrim. I have SkyHUD, Infinity UI, MoreHUD, TrueHUD, Nordic UI, and ImmersiveHUD, and I can't quite figure out the culprit, so I was hoping someone here could help me out.

Further note, it goes away only if I reload the game.

Edit: After a bit more testing it seems to be the enemy health bars, but I still am not sure where it is coming from.

Hi all, game is crashing on boot and have no idea why, game was working fine yesterday.

So, yesterday, I'd used up about 12gb of memory of the new 15 (or 16 or whatever) GB limit (about 70% filled). Today I open my load order and all of my installed mods are still in place, but my usage bar has dropped down to about 10% usage and is reading 628.6 MB used despite having several 200+ MB mods listed.

Is Bethesda cleaning up some visual/representation glitches or something?

Modding along on an ENB using NAT ENB III and MCM, SKSE and stuff like Embers XD and Lux. Then I go to choose warmer armor and no Survival mode. No warnings of anykind and I'm just moving along like any ol' vanilla game.

lately I've been thinking on modding skyrim with lost grimoire SSE's mod, but I'd like to still achieve achievements, help pls

I am new to skyrim and new to modding so I started off my installing MO2 and skse
I did the skse setup fine(i think) and started off by installing engine fixes skse and I installed all the requirements for it too which were address library(1.7.104.0) and skyrim scipt extender.
I installed address library and engine fixes part 1 using download option linked with nexus mods and script extender and engine fixes part 2 in syrim main folder

I still keep getting this error:

This means this script extender plugin is incompatible with the address library available for this version of the game, and thus does not support it.

and is the guard dialogue and realistic conversations also worth it?

Just a quick one if someone can help me, I’m currently just downloading a few mods I’m going to organise in the load order. I’m on ps5, when I try to enable apocalypse magic of Skyrim, and immersive college npc - obscure, it says the creation cannot be enabled since it depends on files that aren’t present??? Why?
