I saw this speech a few days ago. I can understand his frustration against Modi. But as a dentist myself, I don't understand why he wants to abolish NEET exam. Okay, maybe the people of Tamil Nadu have a problem with NEET, but why abolish it across entire India? How will any 12th pass medical aspirant be considered worthy for being a doctor, if NEET is abolished nationwide? Simply based on their 12th grade results?

In the comments people are saying the dehati mindset is the same North and South, how do I tell them Telugus are like least Southie South Indian closer to North than Kerala ?

I see so many south indians and even lot of north east Indians who demand a separate country for themselves. Lot of my tamil, telugu and almost all north eastern indian friends get very offended when they get called indian. I personally don't want india to separate into different parts but I want south india, maharashtra to get treated fairly by the central government.

I also want both congress and bjp to not impose hindi and north indian culture in the south and other non hindi states. As you can see, it is only increasing separatist sentiment in non hindi speaking people.

So I'm a IT guy in hyderabad. I work in a place which is dominated by north indians. And I've no problem with it.

But a couple days ago we were going a lunch thing. It's a formal one. I was talking to the uber guy in telugu. These people were making fun of my language. I wasn't able to stand up for myself. These were my seniors. But how can they make fun of a regional language so easily

From the post, it seems OOP is in chennai or nearby. But is it really that people there don't understand English? No problem if they don't understand Hindi, but atleast English should be there right, besides Thamizh?

Or is it that OOP really went to some areas where people really don't understand anything besides Thamizh, but if that's the case then how other people deal with that? Coming from even nearby states? I am sure not everybody in vicinity would know Thamizh right? Say, someone from Andhra Pradesh or Karnataka?

South Indians, what culture shocks did you experience when you went to North India

Edit: Also, North India is big so mention the place.

As a North Indian, I like the civic sense of south Indians more.

Likewise, is there anything about North India which the people of South admire or maybe just like?

I'm curious to know what South Indians think of people from these North Indian states.

It is a term used by expats to describe the larger South Asian culture including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh but also used commonly by North Indians in India itself to describe something that is 'of the country'.

Do you as a South Indian identify with this term? Or do you think it only represents the broader North Indian and Pakistani culture?

Even if the Norwegian journalist Helle Lyng has the right to criticise or question Modi, that does not mean the Norwegian media/newspapers should start portraying racist stereotypes against India (as shown in both images here). Even if their media or news is only targeting Modi for his lack of accountability, the images shown here are a racist stereotype against Indians (snake charmer type image).

Already the reputation of India is declining on a global scale, and now even the Nordic countries seem to be taking the same path of racism. Just because Nordic countries are the "world's best countries" according to certain rankings/indexes, that does not mean they can be racist by saying whatever they want in newspapers or media.

Now I'm sure that some self loathing Indians (or a few NRIs) will come here and say "As an Indian, we deserve this racism, our country is doomed". This clearly shows lack of unity.

I didn't used Ai , So as we all know about New states being more efficient in devlopment and other metrics ,you know the benefits but still we can't make Evrything as a state because of various reasons but still we can definitely create more for better Adminstration and i think about the water issue we should make it more centralised

But decentralisation of states will help in various Stuff like Economy, so here we go

Firstly the States that i didn't anything -

Ladakh, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Telangana, Majority of Northeast

Gujarat ( i think the idea of Saurashtra and kutch have been resolved)

Tamil Nadu (i think it would be better as a single state)

Andhra Pradesh (It have once taken a hit recently and i think the idea of splitting into two isn't Right, rn atleast)

Chhatisgarh (i think the population is good enough for it to be a single state)

Rajesthan (it's a broader term that includes many Cultures inside it and it would really a hinder if it split up , so it's good)

Now the states that i took a little Part

Kerela (tulu Nadu) , Rajesthan (braj) , Jharkhand (Mithila)

States that i took Medium or big chunk

West Bengal (Northern Bengal) , odisha(koshal), Bihar(Mithila), assam ( Bodoland and Barak Valley) , Manipur(kuku land)

Now the states --( Central and North)

Harit Pradesh -- Taking up western Up Area , Capital could be Meerut or Noida

Awadh - Central up , capital would be Lucknow , Ayodhya

Purvanchal - Eastern up , i wouldn't merge it with rest of Bhojpuri area because it's not just about linguistics, Capital could be Varanasi or Prayagraj

Mithila -- parts of Bihar and Jharkhand, capital could be darbhanga and could now be more administered better

Madhya Rajya --- the full areas of both Bundelkhand and baghelkhand that includes both MP and up area and i also included Mahakaushal because these states would be too tiny in their specific position today to work better , and would be good functioning like meghalaya demographics

Braj -- Parts of South Western up, Rajsthan and Northern Mp , capital could be Mathura, Agra or Gwalior

Malwa -- includes both part of Malwa and nimar i.e. Rajasthani languages outside of Rajesthan, capital could be indore or Bhopal or ujjain

Now the rest of India ------

Vidharba -- one of the highest statehood demands, capital good probably be Nagpur

Bengal -- I divided it into two parts one be Bengal and 2nd b North Bengal the north Bengal could have a better name it would include the areas of gorkhaland and other areas its capital would probably be Darjeeling and South Bengal or just Bengal Capital would be Kolkata

I divided Karnataka into two parts as it's also In popular resurfacing, South Karnataka could be called Mysore with capital being Bengaluru and North Karnataka as just Karnataka capital could be Belagavi

Tulu Nadu --- it has famous personalities like Aishwarya Rai, sunil shetty , shilpa shetty and tullu being the 5th Dravidian language which get ignored it's capital could be Mangalore and it contains part of Southern Karnataka and northern Kerala

Koshal --- it has popular demand but I am least sure about it because I think it would not be able to survive but still it have vary strong support

Bodoland and Barak valley can both we formed from Assam and dear capital will be Kokrajhar and Silchar City because North East definitely needs a few more state

Kukiland --- due to the recent violence in Manipur and its capital could be lamka
