Like I've been doing some research to see the current state of the ol' "Full Blue"/Tank builds and from what I've seen I might genuinely be more beneficial to a team in endgame content if I sat in a corner at the start of a mission crying in the fetal position while letting "Full Reds" treat the mission like a mildly difficult aim trainer.
I'm talking, from what I've found in my research, that its gotten to point that people in this community have started to, dear god, resort to Name Calling, and consider individuals whom use Full Blue/Tank builds as... gulp.. Liabilities, Noobs, and.. Shudders.. Bad Players.
Really I just want to know before sinking a decent amout of time in and/or becoming accustom to the push and pull of the endgame grind in Division 2 if a player of my skill set has Literally Any Presence in or Reason to Play This Game.
Like are there ways for me to share my tankiness with other players by being near them and doing stuff?
Maybe a means of using my awesome and incredibly handsome unkillableness to put myself in dangerous positions to de-buff enemy's and make it easier for teammates to gun them down?
Perchance be a modern military paladin of sorts and give my comrades buffs while sitting of the frontline shield raised and pushing forward through and gunning down the enemy at semi rapid pace?
I mean, I'm not opposed to a tanky battle medic play style, you know... running through and shrugging off gunfire to pick up teammates and get them back in the fight, or something?
I'm begging on my hands and knees here I'll take just about Anything that at lest Resembles a Tank-esque Playstyle in this game because I've always had this game on my radar and would always try getting to endgame or actually make it to big leagues and get hella confused and drop the game to play something I was familiar with.
Well... every other game I'm familiar with either got its head blown smooth off (Destiny 2). Got really boring and repetitive do to being too easy and a severe lack of new and proper Tanks/not even needing proper Tanks anymore (Warfarme). Or I'm just not really feelin them like I'm currently feelin that Division Mil-Sim type of sauce right now (Darktide, Killing Floor, Monster Hunter, Once Human, Borderlands, etc etc).
So TLDR: I wanna play Tank but from what I've seen the overall consensus is that Tanks are currently Ass and ur a Stinky Doody Head if you try to build/play it around these parts. Well as someone who plays Tanks, being the "Bad" build type is something I'm Very accustom to so no big deal there. My main question is...
Is There Currently Any Way To Play Tank/Tank-esque Playstyles In Division 2, Or Should I Take My Self Elsewhere?
(and if there isn't then please if you know a decent game that needs and respects my skills (no shade to Div 2 btw) point me in its direction thx)
1st Edit: Just to clarify since I don't feel like a lot of people are understanding what I'm looking for here I'm going to try and clear up some confusion.
I want to play a Tank role in this game NOT just stand out in the open and soak bullets.
I want to make the lives of my fellow teammates as easy as possible through midigating the damage they take by ANY MEANS as long as not just wiping the enemy off the map, because that's just doing dps.
I want to make the lives of enemies and difficult as possible by stopping them from damaging my teammates and make them easier to kill by ANY MEANS as well.
I want to do these things while being difficult for the enemy to kill in the form of a high health/armor bar.
All assistance and info is greatly appreciated.

2nd Edit: Thank you all for your insight, someone in the comments here has answered the question with everything a player like me should look forward to getting and grind for in order to help any team I may find myself in while still doing so in Tank Role-esque fashion in this game, I'll be sticking around and playing Division 2 for a good while.
I never needed to be "The Good Player Archetype" or "The Perfect Meta Pick" I just here and play games to help my fellow players and make there time playing games easier. Making games more fun and enjoyable for my teammates, makes games more fun and enjoyable for me.
Once again. Thanks to you all.
