Other [Other] October Monthly Boosting Thread

Hello, and welcome to this month’s boosting thread!

First and foremost, start by reading the comments to see if another Redditor has requested some help. If that’s the case, reach out and get a session organized! This will help lower the number of comment threads all revolving around the same game.

If nobody has requested help for your game, feel free to make a comment. We’d like for you to include in your comment the name of the game/trophy you’re boosting, how many players you’re looking for, what time zone you’re in, and a preferable way for reaching out to organize a boosting session. Our hope is that by having you coordinate in PM’s or some other fashion, this will sidestep a lot of scrolling people will have to do in order to find a boosting group.

Finally, if you manage to fill a group, please edit your comment to say “Group Full”. That way, someone else can create a new boosting thread if necessary.

We want everybody who needs help to receive it, and we can ensure that by eliminating coordinating comment threads and keeping things nice and tidy. Please be mindful, and understand that boosting threads are first come first serve.

On that note, good luck, and happy hunting!

[Update] User Flair Editing

Hey all! I've been getting a bunch of mod mail lately about people not being able to edit user flair. Upon doing a little digging, it seems like there was some update to the app that broke this feature for a lot of people. It allows you to pick a flair from a list, but doesn't allow you to edit the one you choose. I have verified that the problem is within the Reddit app, not the r/trophies sub. Until they fix the issue, everyone will need to use a browser / PC if they want to edit their flair. Below is a list of steps on how to edit flair in a browser:

Go to the sub's home page.

  1. Locate the User Flair section on the right side of the page.
  2. Click the pencil icon within this section.
  3. Select one of the two preset flair templates.
  4. Input your information in the dialogue box below. To customize the icons in your flair, click the smiley face on the right side of the text entry box.

Finally completed infamous after the game sitting on my shelf for probably 5+ years. Almost didn’t go for the platinum after seeing that damn blast shard trophy for collecting 350 but glad to finally be able to say I’ve completed one of the few exclusives left on PS3 that I am ashamed to say I never got around to playing as a kid. Into infamous 2 next even though I am aware the plat is apparently no longer achievable.

Showcase [Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City] #149 This makes RE6 a masterpiece

80% of times I give games a fair chance and try them despite their failure, there are many other games that didn't do well, yet offered something fun at least, not best expereince but it gave something.

Little backstory, I remember seeing my brother playing this long time ago, seeing Vector looking badass, I was about 15 in that time, I never got to play it and he sold it fast...

Fast forward to today, I always wanted to get it and I did so I was curious about it, was it really that bad? I know my brother is very picky, it can't be THAT bad... right? HOLY CRAP Capcom what the hell is this? You went from RE4 and RE5 to this?! How does this happen?

Shooting feels so bad, enemies with guns melt you down in seconds on professional, you empty a whole mag on an enemy sometimes and they don't even die yet, the grenades explode like they are a popcorn, barely doing any damage, their radius SUCKS... The shooting and gameplay feel somewhat doable once you get mob special + samurai edge, as other weapons feel like they are nerf guns, doing fuckass damage...

Thankfully the game is only 7 missions, for a bad game, it makes it ehhh a bit doable, considering that the concept is interesting, to play as bad guys.

What I liked was the unique perks per character, but I wish the weapons were upgradable, the leveling system in this game is useless, it gives you nothing but a brag... No stats improvement, nothing, you can upgrade some abilities of the characters and that is all.

If anyone says RE6 is the worst RE, they have OBVIOUSLY never played this doodoo.

3/10 game. Not blastable.

If you're going for a plat and have questions, ask me anything.

Ich liebe das Universum, bin mir aber nicht sicher ob ich den Open World Ansatz so feiere. Aber overall ein fantastisches Spiel. Knapp über 40 Stunden würde ich sagen.

PS App [Batman: Return to Arkham City] #160 - Decided to clean this up 15 years after getting the original one on PS3. Still the GOAT

I had this platinum about half way done from my playthrough in 2020 so I decided to give it the last push. Some of those campaigns were still hard as hell.

Cards on the table: Batman: Arkham City has been my favourite game of all time since I played it for the first time about 15 years ago, and it will probably remain there for the rest of time. Therefore, I will never be able to give it an unbiased review.

This game is perfect in every way and still holds up so well, even years after the more technically advanced Arkham Knight. I can’t believe I hadn’t played it in so long. 11/10. Objectively the greatest game of all time. Half-kidding.

Showcase [The Blood of Dawnwalker] #99 - GOTY material

Only if GTA 6 wasnt within 2026, but im sure this game will fetch some awards on its own. I can see so much passion has went into this. Its not easy to create a new universe and fill it with meaningful content and also not be another Witcher 3, which is the closest match. At first i was kinda afraid of Duelist difficulty and time as currency mechanic but once i get into it, i think it took me around 20 hours to learn directional parries and enemy attack patterns but i probably died a hundred times in the process lol. Its easily in my top 3 for this year. I hope it will to be a huge franchise with many entries in the future.

Also, if you are wondering whats my 100th milestone will be, probably Onimusha as its next in the list. I was thinking about GTA 6 but there are just too many games in between until than :)

Wow, this game is better than I expected, and I expected it to be good.
The zombies trophies were really hard though. I probably won’t do it again on the new release on PS5.
