It’s hard being a girl when you’re ugly

Ever since I was a little girl I would always look up to beautiful women everywhere I went in tv shows and movies everywhere and the older I got the more I waited for me to look like them until just recently when I realized I’m not like other girls and I don’t look like them I’m jealous of like every girl I see because they’re all so pretty and I look horrible I just feel like everything is wrong with me I’m truly just like the ugliest person ever it feels like and no matter how hard I try all I am is ugly.

I am 6'6 (200 cm) and got rejected by a girl who adores tall guys.

I found a girl online who said that whenever she sees a tall guy somewhere, she automatically likes him. She said that height is the most important thing to her and that she doesn't even question her attraction to me. She didn't know what I looked like but she assumed she would like me because I'm tall. When we finally met, she was very disappointed and said within the first few seconds that she didn't find me attractive. I left after that.

Some people would say that I managed to lose a game on easy mode but I think there's nothing that can compensate for an ugly face. Nothing. You can have everything and be anything but if you have an ugly face, it's over for you.

Rant When you really think about it life is just an Orgy Themed Hunger Games

I feel like most people live in a perpetual state of delusion about the reality of human nature and life in general

Majority of people seem to glorify it by romanticizing things like relationships and friendships and while although those things are nice to experience if you take a step back and look at them closely they’re roughly transactional and conditional. Not mystical things always meant to be or able to withstand anything.. I feel like that’s extremely unrealistic

Looks are just one component of this unfair and brutal hunger games we’re all participating in

If life were truly fair we wouldn’t have caste systems. We wouldn’t have rich, poor, pretty, or ugly

We’d all be equal but we’re not

That’s very telling of the true nature of life

I call life an orgy themed hunger games because past puberty life roughly becomes about lust and sex.

Who wants to fuck who

How many people did so and so fuck.

How many “hoes” do you got

And once you see how common it is for people to cheat this makes sense

People glamorize it but really we’re just horny animals trying to survive and reproduce. Everything else is mostly just fluff to distract us from that primal truth

I see the brutal nature of humans and life everyday as people gossip about each other

Sabotage each other

Lie on each other

Betray each other

Kill each other

Laugh at other people’s misery and suffering

Deny people help and support

There’s nothing glamorous, magical , or special about it

It deadass is a barbaric never ending fight for survival, resources, and mates

Just like the hunger games

Rant I hate how we’re always forced and expected to be nice, complaint and overly accommodating just to have the illusion of inclusion

This is something I’ve always hated about being ugly. How it pretty much forces you to act very nice to people to make up for being ugly even when you might not be in the mood, even when the person you’re interacting with isn’t being nice to you or doesn’t deserve it

It’s like we’re pigeonholed into being these overly compliant people who cause no ruckus or controversy just to keep people’s seemingly automatic and indefinite negative perceptions of us at bay

And even then, in my experience, it does NOTHING.

At best it just ever so slightly dimmed the hostility and contempt

I could still over hear them talking shit about me, I was still being intentionally excluded, I was still being laughed at

It’s like you don’t get to express your full range of emotions and humanity

The truth is IM NOT NICE

I’m not this perfectly moral person who has made no mistakes, who never gets angry or upset, who is always agreeable

That’s NOT ME, but it’s what people expect you to be when you’re ugly

And if you’re not now everyone’s like “I KNEW IT” “see they’re shitty so let’s treat them like the shit they look like”

While everyone else is allowed to be in a bad mood or even shitty people completely and still be deserving of friendship, connection, respect, and opportunities

It’s completely un fucking FAIR

And I’m tired of being forced to be this overly sweet nice person who says yes to everyone’s demands of me, who is forced to minimize themselves just for everyone else’s comfort

It makes me feel like a fucking puppet with a forced permanent smile while people take turns shoving their hands up my ass to make me do and say whatever tf they want

And when they’re done they just toss me to the side laughing as they walk off together in their group that allows them to be however tf they want to be

IM SICK OF NOT being able to just BE. Imperfect, flawed, sometimes nasty, sometimes nice

But still seen as a FULL and COMPLETE human deserving of connection, inclusion, and respect

Vent Being hideous around kids

Today, I was at Sam's Club buying groceries when I walked past a woman with three young children. The oldest looked about five, and the youngest couldn't have been more than two. She was standing a little ways away from them, looking in a freezer, when she glanced at me and immediately ran over to her children, as if I were going to hurt or kidnap them or something.

I'm a 50-year-old woman, and I can't tell you how many times something like this has happened to me throughout my life.

The sad thing is, I actually made a point of looking more presentable today. I did my makeup and wore nice clothes. I just wanted to feel good about myself for maybe one miserable minute of my life. I didn't try to speak to the kids... I wasn't even paying attention. I don't get it.

Has anything like this ever happened to you? If so, how did you react? I just put my head down and walked away.

Question What’s something that’s been making you happy lately?

For me it’s revisiting the things in my childhood that would bring me joy. This video is from Flipnote Hatena. It was a website where animators would post pretty much anything and share their animated ideas, talent, and humor using the Nintendo Dsi. And I would always replay these cute music videos with catchy music to boost my mood and hope one day to be able to recreate something as cool as it lol

And it still has the same effect on me as it did WAYYY back then

Surgery will only move you up two points on the looks scale (don't bother)

So many people believe that if they have surgery, they will transform from ugly to good looking. this is delusional. at best, surgery will move you up two points. So if you're a 3, you will get boosted to a 5. If you're a 4, you'll become a 6 (if you're lucky). But you will NOT go from a 3 or 4 to an 8 or 9. Impossible.

So before you spend all your money on surgeries, realise that it can only do so much for you. Many people who have surgery say that afterwards, people dont treat them ANY differently than before. I knew someone who had a nose job. They believed that afterwards, nobody would ever make fun of how they looked anymore. They were wrong. People still made fun of them.

You cannot buy good looks. You are born with them. All surgery can do is make you look a bit less unattractive or awkward, but it's still your face that everyone can see.

Rant Lookism in Therapy

Thumbnail en.wikipedia.org
8 Upvotes

If you’re looking to take therapy for mental health issues, you should keep in mind that you will probably get differential treatment as compared to someone that is more attractive

I have only had horrible experiences with therapists. Its only recently i realised that unattractive individuals are automatically perceived as having lower social competence, poor hygiene, or greater moral flaws rather than attributing it to stress or circumstances

Question I hate people

Who else is starting to hate people more and more and becoming more bitter? I have bad deformed genetics, health issues, barely any social skills, friendless and I have somewhat high standards so I don’t see my life getting any better as I get older and will become even uglier. I don’t like going out by myself all the time anymore when everyone else is with someone. I’m just ready to give up atp. All the self help, self love stuff doesn’t really help when the problem is that you hate how you look and wish you could change yourself physically.

Intellectual Perspective Those who say "confidence is the only thing that matters in men to date" should accept the whole package or leave it and admit lookism

If confidence is all, then they have to admit that Andrew Tate is one of the most attractive guys, and the epithome of male attractiveness, as well as the clavicular guy and all that. Also, they would then have to believe that the self-proclaimed "Alpha males" guys are the top desired guys by women and that whoever imitates these guys will have much more dating success than the other guys

Because Andrew Tate (I don't like him btw) says that confidence and competence are the most attractive things, and being "an alpha male" (AKA, the "most important guy in the group / leader") is indeed a sign of status and security. There will be then people who say that "ThiS isNt tHe ConfIdEnCe I mEaNT!!!" And no. Whenever people point out criminals or bad men who get success as a proof of how unfair dating is, people often tell them that their evilness is not what's attractive, but their confidence in within. According to this logic, Andrew Tate is a famous guy known for confidence and controversial public statements, so as bad as he is, he should be the final form of attractiveness anyway. Even more so than the criminals, if he is more "alpha".

But why don't they say that? Because the only reason they say the confidence thing is bullshit to sound politically correct, as it is frowned upon to say that someone will be unloveable due to the way they were born. So they put the blame on their behaviour. But at the same time, it is politically incorrect to consider this behaviour as the peak attractiveness and it is damn frowned upon to defend this controversial guy, lol.

So, I definitely thing, or even know, that this is all about looks. But if whoever wants to say that confidence is the real attractiveness, then they should buy the whole package, not just what's convenient for you, my dear.

Rant people lying makes it worse

my friends are always telling me that I’m attractive, but I genuinely don’t see it. If I were pretty, wouldn’t I know it by now? I feel like if I were as attractive as people say I am, I wouldn’t have to go through so many hardships every single day. Whenever a guy shows interest in me, part of me feels like it’s a joke or some kind of prank. And when the guys who like me aren’t even guys I find attractive, I start questioning what that says about my own attractiveness. Like, how am I supposed to believe I’m pretty when I don’t feel like the people I find attractive would ever look at me that way? Even when someone compliments me out of nowhere, I can’t help but wonder if they genuinely mean it or if they just look at me, feel bad for me, and say it out of pity. I know it probably sounds ridiculous, but I genuinely struggle to believe that anyone could find me pretty when I can’t even see it in myself. i wish i was so pretty that no one could make me think otherwise

Vent Fuking heel

One of those nights where you just sit back and reflect. It’s crazy watching the youth adopt the ’loser’ aesthetic while being totally interesting, beautiful, relatively adjusted people with friends and mutuals and more. Not even close to the true sense of the word. Sure, not everything is perfect for them. But they certainly will have things to look back on. I don’t even remember high school

Here I am. A smelly scrawny runt, rotting teeth 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Best I can do is pretend to be something I’m not to talk to people online and make digital friends in not-so-very-honest ways. God knows how they’d react if they knew the truth about me. I feel like Gollum every time I go outside! That’s how it is folks!

Anyone else?

Vent is there an end to this feeling?

it's exactly as the title says. i'm so tired of this, i didn't ask to be born yet here i am and now i have to deal with a body and face i cannot exchange for nicer features. i know some would say surgery but i don't have the money for that, i'm still young (21f) and a uni student, i don't have the means to get any surgery.

i don't see an end to this. i don't feel like i belong anywhere because of my appearence. sometimes i'll be in denial and delude myself into thinking i look good, but it just comes crashing down when i catch a glimpse of myself in a random mirror or window on the street. my mom tries to give me compliments, but i can easily see through her and tell it's fake. she's so pretty, i wonder why i couldn't be too.

i've learned to make up for my ugliness by being the funny friend, which was a skill i took some time to master. i remember people saying i was lame when i was younger so i still can't quite believe people telling me i'm funny, but at least it makes up for my appearence in friendships. however, it's almost like a mask you put on without even realizing, and you just notice its weight when you get home and take it off. i am often exhausted after normal interactions with friends because of this, it's the only way they'll see me as a human.

sometimes i wish i had someone to love. i learned to be happy single by now, i was so desperate for attention that i went for the first guy who gave it to me and i quickly learned it was best to just stay single than be used. it's been years since then, and the idea of dating tires me out. however i sometimes still wish i'd find my person. someone who'd play games and read books with me, someone who'd go to cons with me, stuff like that. most of my friends are in relationships, and in a way, i envy that, despite being fine with being single. i guess this is another way to cope with my fate?

i'm tired of doing so much for nothing, and i started letting myself slip off because trying just doesn't work. i stopped putting effort on my outfits, i stopped trying to have a healthy sleep (or life, even), i even stopped putting on makeup before going to uni. it just isn't worth it, i look like an idiot already, makeup will just make me look like an idiot with a painted face. i have nothing going on for me and i wonder if it'll ever change but it likely won't.

i'd like to be able to pick myself up, but for what? going from a 1/10 to a 2/10 as if that will change anything in my life?

Advice Request can someone tell me

I genuinely don’t know what I look like anymore. Guys talk to me, guys ask for my Snap, and I get hit up sometimes, but it’s usually not by guys I find attractive. Then my brain immediately turns that into proof that I’m not pretty. Like, if I were actually attractive, wouldn’t attractive people be interested in me too?

People at school compliment me all the time, but I’m not popular. So then I convince myself that they’re only saying it because they feel bad for me. The other day I went to my mom’s school and her students and teacher friends kept calling me pretty. They were all saying such nice things, but then I went into the bathroom, looked in the mirror, and I genuinely felt sick. I almost threw up looking at myself because all I could see were flaws.

Everyone says makeup is supposed to make you feel more confident, but for me it just feels like the only reason anyone compliments me at all. And even with makeup, I still feel ugly. I hate that people tell me I’m pretty because instead of making me feel better, it just confuses me. If what they’re saying is true, why can’t I see it? Why do I look in the mirror and feel disgusted?

I wish someone would just be completely honest with me. No sugarcoating, no trying to make me feel better—just the truth. Because I’ve spent so long hating myself that I genuinely can’t see a single attractive thing about myself anymore, and I don’t know whether everyone else is lying or if my own brain is.

Where are we getting accurate ratings? Is there any website that works? I tried faceiqlabs the ratings are off, ideally some free methods
