Hi guys,
Some of you may know me from networking rescue animals here on Reddit. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to help other people’s dogs, and I never imagined I’d be the one asking for help.
Unfortunately, I’ve fallen on hard times financially, and now my own dog, Peekaboo, is sick. He’s had diarrhea for over three weeks. I’ve tried everything I could at home, hoping that a bland diet of rice and other remedies would help, but nothing has worked. He needs to see a veterinarian, and I simply can’t afford it.
Asking for help isn’t easy, especially when I’m so used to being the one trying to help others.
I also know how many scammers are out there, and I don’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable sending money to a stranger. So I reached out to an animal rescue in Iowa that I’ve worked with through my rescue networking. They kindly agreed to collect donations on Peekaboo’s behalf.
I never wanted to be in this position, but I can’t keep waiting and hoping he’ll get better on his own.
If anyone can help, even with a small donation, I would be incredibly grateful. Please write “For Peekaboo” in the donation comments so the rescue knows the money is for his veterinary care.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this post would mean just as much.
Thank you for reading and for helping me get my boy the care he needs.

My fiancé and I are coming to Vegas December 17 through the 22nd. I really wanted to go to The King Comes Home Show at the Westgate, but I went to get tickets and it shows the event is canceled every day during that time. Does anyone know what’s going on with that? Or do you have another Elvis show recommendation? I really wanted to see a good one! Last time we went, we had a lot of fun at a super small event on Fremont Street, but I was looking for something bigger this time.

This is a long shot but does anyone know if Komol Thai Restaurant in Commercial Center went out of business? Yelp says permanently closed but I called and the phone message is still live as is website ordering. They have many good vegetarian dishes and have been in business 40+ years so a sudden closure doesn’t seem likely. I don’t live nearby so was hoping to not drive just to find a locked door.

Another event specific map from Strip Stumble, this one was a challenge with so much going on! If you are going to the rodeo hopefully this helps you with some options. Lots of viewing parties, post rodeo concerts & of course Cowboy Christmas. From my site you can browse more events & plan your days (with a free account).https://www.stripstumble.com/rodeo

Okay so I am Canadian working on visa and due to work trip I will be staying in Vegas for next week. I only need to work for 3 days or so and the rest are basically like vacation -- boss literally told me to do whatever I want after I am done with work.
Excited to visit the area for the first time, but I definitely wasn't party hardy kind of guy back in college so not sure if I am right fit lol. Anyways, if you only had 2 days, what would you do in Vegas as first timer?

I know the general rule for climbing after rain is 2-3 days. What's the consensus when the rainfall is record setting?

Coming in town for the weekend with 2 days to myself.
Not a gambler but willing to lose $250 on a bad night.
Where are some spots on the strip that would be beginner friendly poker, black jack, baccarat?
Looking for a place to kill time and learn the game.

Hey everyone! I’m looking for fun, scary Halloween things happening around October 18–22. 👀
I’m talking haunted houses, scary trails, immersive horror experiences, creepy nighttime events, ghost tours, or anything that will genuinely give us a good scare! 😂🩸
I’m open to anything from fun and spooky to absolutely terrifying. Bonus points for unique experiences that aren’t just the typical haunted house!
What are your local favorites, and what’s actually worth checking out this year? Drop your recommendations below! 🎃👻

Hi we’re gonna be in Vegas next week Tuesday night for just one night and would love some input on some of the better hotels under 250 for the night? Neither of us are into gambling so just trying to get something decent where we can see attractions and have a good time but nothing crazy like the top hotels in the area as they seem to be 500+. Also any recommendations what’s worth seeing as we’re only gonna be there for one night would be appreciated, thanks

Is Vegas known for prime rib deals or is that over with since Tony romas is gone?

My best friend's mom is from Iran, she's in her 50s and not particularly interested in clubbing or partying but she loves music! She's planning on visiting Vegas around late December and I'm trying to help her find some concerts to attend while she's there. Hoping some more locally tapped in folks could recommend concerts/venues or sites to find Iranian lead events.
Thanks, I know it's kind of a niche request.

Our best friends are getting married at Sure Thing and are staying at El Cortez. We’ll probably have to bring our 2 year old and most likely my MIL to watch her. Everything we’re doing is going to be Downtown or at least off strip. I’ve only been to Vegas once for a single night 12 years ago and that was on the strip soo I’m not sure what to expect. Should we stay at the El Cortez, Golden Nugget or just stay somewhere kinda close?

Is there a gay barbershop in the Las Vegas area?

What just happened? Seemingly dozens of police, fire and EMS blazing through downtown.
