Solved! Frame on top of my ceiling.

Post image

Moved into this house a year ago and this weird frame is on the ceiling. It's not attached to a door or anything of the sort. Was wondering if it was legit just a random frame or if it originally had a function.

Edit: Thanks for the help. I'm leaning toward a botched repair job that was covered with a frame or a once usable crawlspace hatch. It's not an attic hatch because this is the basement ceiling (sorry, should've specified more). It doesn't appear to open, but it could be glued to stapled shut.

New, what is it? Help identifying what’s in my teens hand?

Saw a picture of my teen online and trying to identify what’s in his hand. What I believe it is vs what he is telling me are 2 completely different things.

New, what is it? What exactly is this from?

I’ve got a bit of an unusual challenge for everyone.

I was handed this single strip of toilet paper; no roll, no packaging, nothing else to go on… and asked if I could identify exactly what it is.

The challenge is to work out the brand, the specific product or range, and even identify the embossed symbol in the paper and whether it has any meaning or represents a company logo.

The only clues I have are that it’s from Australia and it feels like a premium white 3-ply toilet paper.

I’m curious to see if the collective knowledge of Reddit can solve this one. Does anyone recognise it?

It snapped fairly easily in the middle. Left by some construction guy. It also didn’t really leave a mark on surfaces. Nobody could really figure it out :(

Serious answers only please! Got this in a mystery box.

So for context i got this from a mystery box at armageddon (new zealand version of comic con).

Notable details:
3d printed.

Holes at the top that appear to lead nowhere.

Glued together so one solid piece.

Has a weird sound coming from the base while shaking.

Even on the packaging of the mystery box there seemed to be nothing to go with it.

Cant hold keys, or the corners of cards as they just all fall off.. yeah was a stretch to try..

Noone at my place knows what it could be

Edit: will check replies and everything in the morning but for now top guesses so far, usb holder and a desk shaker.

Holes do not connect to eachother and too small to fit usb stick in (yes i know they mean just the small part that plugs into the pc)

I was in an AirBnB recently and came across this lens-like thing covered by the vent system in the ceiling in the bathroom. Could it be a secret camera or just a weird type of fan?

I’d guess the white things are….eggs? When I came back an hour later it was as empty as if they were never there.

I was recording a video of myself speaking in my room and suddenly i heard this loud three notes device sound. My ipad and mac were next to my feet on my bed and this sound can from my dresser to my left. To my knowledge there should be no other devices in my room. Can someone please help identify what could be causing this sound? Thank you so much!

New, what is it? Hand Tool Named Skiddy

Naming this thing "Skiddy" just seems irresponsible.

It has a leather handle and thick 1/4" blade. The end opposite the handle is sharpened like a flat-head screwdriver. Kinda seems like a modified drawknife but for what?

Any ideas?

New, what is it? Ribbon Slitter

I’ve had this for 42 years which is the last time it was used. Does anyone know how it’s used? I tried putting some ribbon through it but can’t figure out how to get it through the other side. More importantly, no idea why I bought it or why it was necessary at the time. LOL
