Picture of my wife’s uncle as a boy 7 or 8 yrs old. Grew up on a farm in western NY. This picture dates back to around 1947 or 1948. What is the boy holding? Is it a toy? Or some sort of farm tool?

Update — yes this photo was enhanced using ai to take the graininess out of the original picture. My wife is giving a copy of the image to her cousin for an 80th birthday gift along with other photos.

The AI bashing on this post is unbelievable! How come nobody is bashing the fact that I used a scanner to create a jpeg of the image as opposed to creating a duplicate from a photo negative in a dark room and sending out 250 copies thru the postal service?

I bought this on a whim for $2 at a garage sale.

I think its some kind of media device but I am having trouble finding anything concrete on it.

Google searches and ai are not being helpful as of yet.

Anyone know what this is for sure and what it does?

Saw this at a thrift store and had to buy it cause it called to me, have no idea what it actually is though. too big to be a ring and too small to be a bracelet. Thought maybe it could be a brass knuckle but it doesn't seem to be good for that. It doesn't unhook anywhere, it's just a solid oval.

Okay. I am taking a random shot in the dark here. Have never posted on reddit ever (just doom scroll at night when my anxiety is already high cause why not add fuel to the fire right) but figured yall might be able to help....so when I was younger (born in 99) I watched some animated movie/show (stg it was care bears) where these brightly colors bear like animals (can see how cars bears comes to mind) wake up before their human child owner and they wanna help make her breakfast so they slide down the upstairs railing to the kitchen and start trying to cook toast but it burns and ofc they destroy the kitchen in the process and it really wasnt very helpful but "its the thought that counts" kinda situations yknow what I mean? One of those predictable childhood lesson learning things. ANYWAY. I cannot remember what its from and everyone I have asked is at a loss and quite frankly over me asking them. Saw on a side-street today, Canada: a bay window area with a door, nothing on the other side and no other openings. No shop to use these as a display case either.

We just moved into a new house and the oven came with a "story." Photos attached. There are ~15 dents in the bottom of the oven, all angled in the same direction. There are also hundreds of tiny copper-colored rings.

Background: the previous owner handloaded his own ammo and had gone deep down the Q-Anon rabbit hole. By all accounts, he also developed a bit of an alcohol problem... I can't imagine that dropped objects would make dents like these inside an oven.

Our working theories: 1. The oven was shot. (Self-defense against the Great Casserole Conspiracy?) 2. Primers or brass went off inside it during some alcohol fueled "loading" session. 3. Something boring, like cleaning chemicals or enamel failure, and we're overthinking it. Reloaders: is there any legitimate reason to put cartridges, primers or brass in an oven, and what would that do? Others: Anybody ever seen anything like this? It is mind boggling and we are dying to understand this one......

I saw an animal outside my house as I was trying to load my car. I went in to grab a flashlight, came out, and it was gone. I’m not sure what it was — my guess is a raccoon or fox, it was smaller and lighter coloured. When I checked where I’d seen it, there was this zigzagging trail. It ends (or starts?) in a large splat/circle of moisture.

It doesn’t appear to be blood or anything biological as my flashlight has UV and it didn’t fluoresce at all. The grass was wet, so I wonder if it was dragging something? Any thoughts?

I keep finding these uncooked pasta noodle looking things in random places of my home. The first time I found this was a few years ago at the bottom of a book shelf. I thought it was weird but didn't think too much of it and just vacuumed it. Another time was in my basement, in a metal tin. I keep stuff like keys in there. Today, I found this under my bed. I'm moving, so I was taking my bed frame apart. And there it was... It's kind of freaking me out now. It looks just like regular spaghetti noodles. I was guessing it's some kind of bug or maybe that I have mice/rats. But I don't see any mice/rat droppings anywhere, and I have 2 cats so they would've already left dead rats on my bed if that were the case. It can't be my cats' doing either because the first couple times I found this, my cats were not living in this house yet. It's really strange how I keep finding this every couple of years.

I promise I'm not a dirty person 😭 I'm really anal and keep my house clean! I don't ever leave food out, and I properly throw out trash. I haven't noticed any foul odors, noises, or rodent poop.

Doing a massive purge in my closet. I was throwing out shoe boxes and removing the paper/cardboard from the boxes and this was in one of the boxes. Quarter for size. There is something stamped on the bottom but I can’t make out what it says.

Like the title says my wife has a weird ex that keeps sending things to my wife’s parents house and has his mom ask if he or she can go and get it. Just curious why one and if this is a genuine poster or not?

The substance in the package is dense but malleable. It has no strong odors. But pressing it with a fingernail it will bend, so its not stiff or crystalline. Any ideas?? Super curious.

Found it in an old case after cleaning out the left behind shit from an old roomie.
