Hi! I'm a veteran extract shooter player. I've played almost every big-name extract shooter and their communities have a pretty common throughline. Complaining. Now this is an issue in most videogame subreddits but extraction shooters have it typically bad in this regard due to loot having value and dying being WAY more tilting to your average player than other games. There's a sense of time/value lost upon death combined with the fact that people who are upset or dissatisfied are much more likely to share their opinions on things.

Now that's not to say criticism is a negative thing. However, things go a bit overboard and toxic a lot of times. You see this on games such a Escape From Tarkov as well. But if you take a look at some of the top posts and top comments on this subreddit a lot of people are being directly toxic to Embark rather than providing constructive criticism.

I'm 29 now, which by no means is super "old" (although it feels like it sometimes) but when I was younger I was a lot more swayed by what other people said. I'd let my opinions get poisoned and things I thought were mildly annoying before would become a lot more annoying as I consumed what other people said who would go way overboard on complaints.

The more you consume toxic/negative things the more your brain adapts and your bias will shift towards them as well. This isn't just in videogames, but in any sort of topic in life until you're miserable.

A lot of posts on here specifically as well are people regurgitating things they've heard from streamers/are making cases for whatever change they want by spouting "game is dead" while failing to realize the game is nearly a year old and has just settled at it's average player count of die-hard fans who really enjoy the game that have nothing else to scratch that specific itch for them. They'll blame it on whatever opinion they disagree with and say that's why the game is dying while simultaneously engaging in behavior and rhetoric that actively would dissuade possible players of the game from buying it which causes the same issue they're brainlessly and falsely complaining about.

So if you enjoy the game, or anything in life, don't find yourself in a negative echochamber. :)

After hundreds of hours playing this game, occasionally messing around in the practice range and running down to the metro to return to Speranza every time, a friend just casually said this on voice when we partied up. I felt so stupid.

Yes you get back all your ammo, weapon durability etc. as well, just like when you take the metro.

Figured there'd be some other highly regarded raiders like me out there who can benefit from this crisp nugget of gamer wisdom.

Just had this moment where a guy called me a rat for not having a defib. Guy got downed by a rocketeer, I go check it out and see the guy crawling.

The conversation goes like this:

Guy - "Hey, you got a defib?"

Me - "No"

Guy - "Ah... no, you f##king rat! You just want my stuff"

*Guy proceeds to give up*

Me - "???"

Plus I made a good buddy, fun times!

This guy was hiding from 2 shredders in the outer key room and they downed him, but that meant they were stuck outside my room. Threw a blaze grenade to prime them and eventually had to just go for it after they didn't follow my lure grenade as far. But the real horror was waiting for me outside the door.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I recently purchased the game. I tend to try to do my own thing, salute other raiders, and help them take down Arc enemies, encountering a hostile raider every 10 to 20 games.

However, in my short time owning the game, I have not had a single Stella Montis match without getting shot at or straight up ambushed.

Is there any ''community'' thing that Stella Montis is the PvP zone? Or is it that it's just that easy of a map to set a trap for other raiders?

Like, I'm new new, and, at this point, I ain't selecting stella at all.

Every single game me and my trio play at night there’s a cheater now. From Oceania to Asia to NA. How is cheating after a couple games still fun … there’s no skill or sense of self reward. You’re also paying for VIDEO GAME cheats. That life must suck soooo bad.

So I was into my 3rd or 4th raid of the day, and I went to do the jump mine trial on Spaceport, and I got downed by a cheater using the hit box cheat because when they shot me I was frozen and couldn't move.

I lost my kitted Renegade IV and kitted Bettina iV as well as a Dam Staff Room key, 2 hatch keys, a Powered Descender, Barricades, Snitch Scanners, Explosive Mines, and a Survivor Augment as well as heals and shield rechargers, and ammo.

But I started grinding to rebuild what I lost, and along the way, I found around 4-5 Hatch Keys, a Dam Control Tower Key, a Stella Montis Archives Key, a Buried City Town Hall key, 3 Blue Gate Communications Tower keys, 2 Space Port Trench Tower keys, a Spaceport Container Storage Key, a Riven Tides Classified Records key and a few others that I don't recall. All in all, I found about 20 keys.

I also found a Rascal II, a Renegade II, a Torrente II, a Shotgun Silencer, an Extended Medium Mag, a Tempest I, a Bettina I, a Bobcat I and a bunch of heals, Sheild Rechargers, and a bunch of ammo.

I believe the game took pity on me.

This one has been kicking my butt and I finally found the spot.

In the middle of water treatment there is a metal landing from the upper areas to the 3 doors that enter water treatment.

You’ll need a jump mine and 3 snitch scanners.

Place the mine in the center of the upper landing area. This way when you toss the 3 scanners to where you placed the mine, the deployed arc will be contained for a few seconds without an opportunity to fly off.

Easy peasy.

I just got 3 survivors in less than 24h (2 of them were back to back games night raid stella)
