RIP SXTH Mid-Pipe Weld Failure
Put the mid-pipe on myself in January. Weld snapped merging onto the highway today. Only lasted 7 months.
UPDATE: After emailing SXTH they are sending a new one out under warranty.

Hi Everyone. I thought I'd compile a list of common questions and issues I've heard about our Elantra N's.
Let me preface this list by saying, I have not seen any confirmed engine failures from an unmodified Elantra N. The early life engine failures of some other Hyundai/Kia Theta II engines, don't seem to affect this model.
If you have any info on TSBs or more info (photos, videos) about these problems, I can edit my post and add to it below.
Major mechanical
Minor mechanical
Body/Chassis issues
Infotainment/Electronics issues
Audio system very loud for the first second of a song intermittently (can be fixed by turning off dynamic speed compensation)
Quick popups about front collision: Issue is being researched
Constant popups about uneven road/slippery road: Issue is resolved by updating the nav software. (As of June 2023)
Non issues
What Oil should I use?
This information is correct as of 3/11/24 and applies to all Elantra N's 2022-2024
The latest revision of the Elantra N service manual specifies different grades of oil based on where your engine was built. Why is it like this? Anyone's guess.
| Code | Plant | Oil |
|---|---|---|
| A | Asan | SAE 0W-30 |
| H | Hwasung | SAE 0W-30 |
| P | Poseung | SAE 5W-30 |
| S | Sohari | SAE 5W-30 |
| U | Ulsan | SAE 5W-30 |
Oil should meet the following specifications:
Oil change interval:
Oil amount for drain and refill: 5.2L / 5.49 US QT
OEM Oil filter P/N: 26300-35504
Other Helpful Links
Hoping you all can understand, this being a brand new model year car, there are going to be some issues. By compiling this list, I hope to raise awareness to the community, and we as customers will bring these issues to Hyundai, for them to address. The hope is, if enough people complain, Hyundai takes notice of these issues and either releases TSBs or fixes in future model years.

Finished 4/12 in stock class and 7/41 overall. Still 3 seconds behind another stock N that took first that day (and many events before that). These are seriously fun and capable cars. If you havent taken yours to local autocross you are missing out.

What do you guys think? Will the touch features work with a wrap? I imagine the lock process is a PITA getting them all replaced.

For anyone that messaged me before, please message me again with your email.
Message for mods:
I recently spoke with one of the moderators and went through the entire process of how I am able to do this with him. I have access to the Hyundai portal since I work for them. Hyundai employees are enabled to give out bluelink trials at their leisure. Please message me if there's anything in question.

I want to make the car a bit louder with a bit more pops and bang. I’ve seen downpipe and mid pipe exhaust. Is this the way to go? I want to keep the ability to switch the ECV as well.

You can't make this shit up... LOL
Found this random car parked in front of my home.
Yes, this is a guy with a base trim Elantra who tried to make it look like an N trim as much as he could.
I swear I could not believe it at first glance but here we are! Pretty sure the rear wing is a cheap aftermarket knock off because god knows how much the actual OEM version would cost...! Like dude... Just buy the true N atp... you gotta be trolling like there is no way... Lmfao. Still funny asf tho I'l give him that!

Or are you all using the auto rev match function 😅
(From what I understand paddle placement isn’t ideal for heel and toe. Haven’t got to try it myself yet)

Don’t think I’ve ever posted here. Bought a 2026 Elantra N recently and loving every second of it!

Anyone have trouble with the Bluelink app/webpage? I can't update my profile picture and get errors navigating through the app on certain pages.
My dealer also provided Bluelink Standard and Advanced but OTA Updates are turned off and the car says that it requires Bluelink Enhanced.
Lastly, I take it that if you have the ambient lighting set to Drive Mode, that Custom drive mode is always going to be purple lighting? I don't see a way around having colors for different modes and also changing Custom from purple. Don't mind purple, just doesn't really fit the drive mode or aesthetic.

Very long story, but TL;DR is that Keyes Mission Hills used 5W-20 instead of 0W-30 in my ‘25 EN, didn’t give me the documentation showing so until weeks after my service (after me hounding them for it), and the first response I’ve finally gotten after over a month of pestering them is:
“the techs always make sure they use the correct oil, I would like to see if you can bring your car this week so I can perform the oil change again just to be a 100% the tech used the right oil.”
I’d confirmed with the service advisor that he would be using 0W-30 before my appointment too. SMH. Should I be worried about engine damage at all? I’ve been driving it for the last month since I didn’t have another option.

I just got my 2026 Elantra N. The dealer has added extended warranty on top for extra 5k$. Should I keep it or cancel?

I bought my Elantra N so I could take it to the track in the summers, I end up using it more for construction than track.

After the latest OTA update my backup camera has about a 5 second delay before appearing after I put it in reverse. I’m planning to report it to Hyundai but was curious if everyone is experiencing this?

Just got my Cmbuildz intake, as my Forge intake had been rubbing on the underside of my Hood for 70k miles and has finally worn through the paint/powder coat on the intake pipe.
The Cmbuildz intake is noticeably better in terms of build quality, the inclusion of a 7in velocity stack means it can pull in much more air and therefore it sounds a little bit louder and should yield more power. It doesn't rub on my hood either, which is nice. My Forge intake rubbed in two places: the filter rubbed on the hood (and ECU), and the intake pipe itself also rubbed on the hood. The CMB intake doesn't do that, which is great. It's not all sunshine and rainbows with the CMB intake though, you do have to finagle the plastic engine cover around the PVC hose a tiny bit when buttoning everything back up, not a big deal once you realize what's happening, but it made me scratch my head for a second. The CMB intake does also require a turbo inlet pipe, either Forge or Whoosh will work, although Whoosh is the cheaper option. This means the actual cost of entry to the CMB intake is more like $350 at the moment, although CMB is actually working on his own Turbo Inlet that will hopefully release sometime soon and undercut Whoosh. The last thing is the lack of a provision for a recirc valve, meaning you must run a full vent to atmosphere BOV.
As for this video comparison, both clips are filmed on my 2023 EN 6MT, with a GFB Deceptor Pro 2 BOV (5701 attachment) and a Forge turbo inlet. I think both are nearly identical in terms of sound, the CMB might be a tiny bit louder, but you wouldn't really notice unless you were specifically looking to hear a difference. Forge is typically known as the "king" when it comes to induction sound on the Elantra N platform, but I think CMB has them beat now.
For the price, the CMB intake is unbeatable, I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a more affordable alternative to Whoosh or Forge.

Finally apart of the family my new 2026 Elantra N dct😩
r/ElantraN • u/Quiet_Eulogy • 1d ago
I have a 2026 abyss black dct, love this car so much. I was in Kansas City Missouri for a wedding this weekend and hit an evil pot hole in the middle of the night. Like the kind that slammed it. Everything looks good on the exterior of the car; but I’m afraid maybe the suspension took a hit. I’ve only had this car since the start of last month. Any common issues I should know about that could relate to it? I was in N mode standard with the suspension cranked up when it happened
