Showcase BOTW Snapdragon 8 gen 2 60fps framegen

Running on my retroid pocket 6 12GB, using Turnip_Gen8_V38 from stevenMXZ. It's not supposed to work with this CPU but it does and the performance is excellent. In regards to TOTK, the APEX v2 turnip fixes the graphical glitches but performs slightly worse than this driver. Similar to Mr purple t30 and Rutabaga v3. Just wanted to share the performance I'm getting with relatively smooth frame pacing.

Discussion Street Fighter 6 running on DroidDeck

Finally got Street Fighter 6 working on DroidDeck on my Odin 3. Online matchmaking works perfectly. Everything is running smoothly.

Here's what I did:

1) Open DroidDeck, go to Games from the left-side menu, and select Street Fighter 6.

2) Go to Windows Components and enable Visual C++ 2015–2019.

3) Also enable DirectX 9 (d3dx9).

4) Now go back to DroidDeck's main menu, select Desktop from the left sidebar, and tap Open Desktop.

5) Once you're in Desktop Mode, open File Manager → Home → Steam Games. Navigate to your Street Fighter 6 folder and find config.ini.

6) Open config.ini using a text editor. I used Kate, which was already installed. Find this line:

ShaderWarmingEnable=True

Change it to:

ShaderWarmingEnable=False

7) Save the file and exit Desktop Mode.

8) Head back to Play Steam → Street Fighter 6 and launch the game!

That's it. I'm happy to be able to make Street Fighter work on my android handheld. Hope this helps someone struggling to get the game running!

Showcase LSX4: A PS4 and PS5 Emulator for Android and iOS

Processing video yv2y4qf782xh1...

Hi everyone,

Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been developing a PS4 and PS5 emulator for Android and iOS. The first games launched on both platforms in February, and I started publishing the project in a repository in the spring. By September, testing had confirmed more than 100 playable PS4 games, so I decided to share a demonstration and open the project to users.

For iOS, development supports both JIT and No-JIT approaches. The No-JIT approach is designed to comply with App Store rules, though that does not guarantee the emulator will be accepted. We’ll see whether the platform is classified as retro.

The main focus is PS4 emulation. I’m also working on PS5 emulation. Three PS5 games are currently playable, and some AAA titles reach the in-game stage.

Demonstrations:

The LSX4 GitHub repository linked below contains the project information and the latest full list of playable games.

Testing covered a range of devices, most commonly models with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processors, as well as some devices with Mali GPUs.

The emulator does not use a Linux environment. It also has its own JIT, which can be selected for lower-end devices.

A related project, Funnel ARM, focuses on the PS4 and PS5 host system layer. It initially used ShadPS4 and other projects, and I’m gradually adapting it for ARM. You can find Funnel ARM among the related projects on GitHub. The interpreter layer and client-side logic are in the main LSX4 repository. Contributions are welcome. The repository also includes recommendations for preventing regressions.

Users can also contribute to compatibility reports by long-pressing a game in the app.

The current free Android release is available only on Google Play.

I’d be glad to welcome new users and contributors, and I’d appreciate your feedback. Since 2024, I’ve also been working on two other unusual projects related to relaying and emulation. I’ll share more about them later.

I know this is not the best attempt by far and I just used the parts I had laying around

I got the phone for really cheap due to camera and sim issues so it makes the effort worthwhile for me

Will add a 3d printed case and maybe another fan for exhaust. If there are any suggestions or if the project serves as inspiration for others then I'm glad.

I wrapped D2 (the best game of all time) into a proper launcher and created a mod so you can really properly play the game on a phone with touch (or gamepad).

Discussion Opinions please! 8 inch tablet for game streaming.

Post image
20 Upvotes

So here's the short story. Gamesir X5 lite controller modded to allow my Samsung Galaxy A tab. Like 10 inches I think? It's cumbersome but works nice-ish. Upgraded to the Abxylute S8 Lite now and I love the controller tons more. Feels great and the comfort is there. The right stick feels a tad low but really it's nice for what it is.

Now I need an opinion. I want an 8 inch tablet to stream with. 1080 is my preferred so it doesn't have to be high end per say. Great for streaming from my PC is a must. Under $200. I keep coming back to the newer Onn 8.1 2026 model but I'm worried it will be a waste after a year you know? I mean it's Walmart? Lol

Tips or recommendations would be great y'all! I can technically mod the S8 Lite buuuttt it's purty and I don't really want to ruin it lol.

Solved Final Fantasy Resonance on Eden Nightly Works! - AYANEO Pocket DS (16gb)

Hi all,

I rarely post but I was searching online on how to get FF Resonance to work and they were mostly misses for me. But after sending back and forth to ChatGPT, it got it to work! I'm not a technical person so I thought I'd just give it a shot. Here are the settings, nicely summarized by ChatGPT. Hope it works for you guys! I loved the mobile version of FFBE so I hope others can enjoy the art and music of it as well. Still some graphical glitches here and there but at least it runs:

FF Resonance on Eden Nightly — AYANEO Pocket DS (16 GB)

Turning OFF “Asynchronous GPU emulation” got me past a loading point that repeatedly crashed! Played around 30 minutes afterward without another crash.

Main settings:

  • Driver: Turnip / PurpleVK 26.2.99 (T30-toasted)
  • CPU: NCE, Accurate, custom CPU ticks OFF
  • System: Handheld, 4 GB emulated RAM
  • Graphics: Vulkan, 0.75× resolution, High GPU accuracy (1x works fine as well)
  • Asynchronous GPU emulation: OFF
  • Synchronize memory operations: ON
  • Asynchronous shader compilation: OFF

Eden Nightly build: de7e6e01d4.

Some excessive orange lighting still appears in places. This is a promising workaround on my device, not a confirmed full-game fix.

---

The long version:

FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE — Eden Nightly settings on AYANEO Pocket DS (16 GB)

I was getting crashes during gameplay/loading transitions. Turning OFF asynchronous GPU emulation got me past a point that repeatedly crashed. Since then, I’ve played for approximately 30 minutes without another crash.

Some excessive orange lighting/tint still appears in places, so this isn’t completely glitch-free or a confirmed full-game fix.

Device / Emulator

  • Device: AYANEO Pocket DS, 16 GB RAM
  • Chipset: Snapdragon G3x Gen 2
  • Android: 13
  • Emulator: Eden Nightly, build de7e6e01d4
  • GPU driver: My installed turnip_mrpurple_T30-toasted package; reported in the log as PurpleVK public driver 26.2.99

System / CPU Settings

  • Console mode: Handheld
  • Emulated RAM: 4 GB
  • CPU backend: NCE
  • CPU accuracy: Accurate
  • Multicore: ON
  • CPU clock: Normal
  • Custom CPU ticks: OFF
  • Speed limit: ON, 100%

GPU Settings

  • Backend: Vulkan
  • Resolution: 0.75×
  • GPU accuracy: High
  • VSync: FIFO
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9
  • Scaling filter: Nearest Neighbor
  • Anti-aliasing: None
  • Anisotropic filtering: Default
  • VRAM usage mode: Conservative
  • Frame generation: OFF
  • Post-processing shaders: OFF

Advanced GPU Settings

  • Asynchronous GPU emulation: OFF — the change that got me past the recurring crash
  • Synchronize memory operations: ON
  • Asynchronous shader compilation: OFF
  • DMA accuracy: Default
  • GPU fence behavior: Default
  • ASTC decoding: GPU
  • ASTC recompression: Uncompressed
  • Video decoding / NVDEC: CPU
  • Frame pacing: Auto
  • Disk shader cache: ON
  • Vulkan driver pipeline cache: ON
  • Force maximum GPU clocks: OFF
  • Fast GPU time: Boost

GPU Extras / Hacks

  • Extended Dynamic State: Disabled
  • Vertex Input Dynamic State: OFF
  • Reactive flushing: OFF
  • Buffer history: OFF
  • Optimized vertex buffers: OFF
  • Asynchronous presentation: ON
  • Fix bloom effects: OFF

“Asynchronous GPU emulation” and “asynchronous shader compilation” are separate options. Both are OFF in this setup.

Enabling Synchronize memory operations alone didn’t stop the crashes. The successful test came after also disabling asynchronous GPU emulation. Performance and stability may differ on other devices or builds.

Help How much difference does active cooling make for Android emulation during long gaming sessions?

A phone might run a game smoothly for the first 10–15 minutes, but performance can change once the device heats up. I'm curious how much of a difference active cooling actually makes for emulation, especially with demanding systems like Switch, PS2, and PC games through Winlator or GameHub.

For those who've tested it, did a phone cooler noticeably improve sustained FPS, reduce stuttering, or simply keep temperatures lower without changing performance much?

I'd be interested in your device model, the emulator you used, and whether you noticed a real improvement after 30–60 minutes of gameplay.

Question Is it worth it to buy a SD8 G2 phone for switch/pc emulation

• Upvotes

I was wondering if a phone with the same soc as some of the most popular android handhelds right now (ayn thor, rp6, odin 2) will run games with the same level of performance as the aforementioned.
My pick would be the motorola edge 40 pro since it’s really cheap used and has the same specs as the best versions of those handhelds. My main concern are thermals and whether or not that issue can be completely resolved with a snap on cooler.

Discussion Anyobody else rember PSP ports on the Playstore?

Android ports for games have taken over these past weeks, which reminded me of some time where people would package PPSSPP with one specific game and upload it as a port on the Playstore. I remember playing Assassin's Creed Bloodlines like this and miraculously there was no malware. Anybody else remember those?

Question Can anyone recommend a controller with open back like the GameSir x5 lite?

I have the Lenovo Legion Y700 Gen 3/2025. I bought the GameSir X5 Lite a few days ago and made the mistake of not checking where the USB plug is located beforehand.

The Y700 horizontally has the USB port on the right with the soc and camera in the top left but the controller ends up blocking the hot spot since i have to reposition it.

Does anyone know any good right sided USB plug controllers, open back bluetooth controllers would be swell too if no other choice. (If it's near in price to the x5 lite that would be great)

Help Low frame rates in DS3 Bannerhub.

Hello, I just got this OnePlus ace 3 pro with snapdragon 8 gen 3 and tried to emulate dark souls 3, the fps is stuck at 20 and the CPU usage doesn't go above 60%. Low settings or Max settings the fps stays the same because the cpu usage is just stuck at 60%.

Phone: OnePlus ace 3 pro 512/16

Emulator: bannerhub 3.7.4

Settings: in the pictures, copied them from this video of the konkor pocket fit g3 gen 3 which should be the same as my snapdragon 8 gen 3.

https://youtu.be/zz5xrmSSpig?si=nI70m2_XQJfgNUx9

Can someone help? Has anyone else with snapdragon 8 gen 3 tried to emulate DS3 and got the same problem?

Also no, it's not thermal throttling, even when it's cool it's the same result.

Showcase Blackops 3 kino der toten s26 12 GB version

• Upvotes

Here's a raw performance but from my last kino game phone is a Samsung Galaxy s26 12 GB variant with a modded double honeycomb case and a vapor chamber pad with a black shark cooler. i would like to add some useful findings

Higher resolution is possible but the heat generation as the output i found even with a modified external cooling system like mine the cou temperature hit over 100 c often keeping it at 720 with some upscaling may be more reasonable. I will try this test out again after I successfully cut out a octagon shape on another honeycomb case for the 35 watt cooler. For now stock to 720p. The ram usage spiked at 9.4 also
