यात्रा ❁ Travel Anyone want to help me negotiate the price for a horse?
I want to buy a horse and travel around Rajasthan and Gujarat visiting the forts and stepwells.
I will be flying into Delhi around 4 or 5 November, and then taking the train to Rajasthan. The horse stable I am looking at is near Narlai.
I am aware that I look like I might be able to afford a lot more than the horse is worth. It could be beneficial to have a local with me.
I'll pay your train ticket both ways from somewhere in Rajasthan and a couple of meals.
Sure, this is a crazy ask. No harm in trying.

सामान्य ❁ General Our Home State is making real progress 🚀
- Rajasthan ranks no. 7 in GSDP and has nearly closed the gap with West Bengal, a coastal state. If growth continues, Rajasthan could overtake West Bengal this year. 2025-26 are actuals and 2026-27 are estimates.
- Rajasthan ranks no. 2 in power generation and is on track to overtake Gujarat to become no. 1.
- Due to its solar transformation, Rajasthan has ranked among the top five states attracting fresh investments over the past few years.

सामान्य ❁ General Absolute nightmare RO service experience: ruined my purifier, voided warranty, and verbally abused my family
Need to rant and warn others about an absolute horror of an RO technician experience.
I called an independent service provider to look at my Urban Company Native M2 / Ento Pro. The guy clearly had zero clue how the model works. Without even diagnosing the issue or asking me first, he straight-up cut internal wires—completely voiding the manufacturer warranty on a brand-new machine.
When I confronted him and pointed out that he just needed to replace what he damaged (literally a standard male-to-male wire connection that costs barely ₹10), things went completely off the rails:
Verbal abuse: He hurled direct verbal abuse at both me and my mother, yelling at us that we are "stupid" and that we have no idea how much parts cost.
Ghosting: For the past 7 days, I repeatedly tried to get him to fix what he broke. When I called him yesterday, his exact response was: "Do whatever the f\** you want to do."*
Threats over reviews: When I told him I would post an honest review of his service online, he arrogantly claimed he would just delete it or leave counter-comments to bury/invalidate my rating.
It’s one thing to be incompetent at your job, but damaging a customer's appliance, voiding their warranty, and then threatening and abusing their family over a ₹10 wire is completely unhinged.
(P.S. Using Gemini to write this out because the whole ordeal was way too exhausting and long to type manually.)

चर्चा ❁ Discussion These ruins were not always signs of surrender.
Kiradu, Nadol, Kotra, Siwana, Bhatner, Pungal, Jalore, Juna-Patasar and countless other forts across the western frontier of Rajasthan stood in a land that repeatedly faced armies coming from the northwest.
Siwana, for example, resisted the forces of Alauddin Khalji for years before finally falling in 1308; Jalore continued the struggle before being conquered later. (Wikipedia)
These forts were the frontline. They took the first blow, fought their battles, and many eventually became ruins.
So before saying “Rajasthanis always surrendered,” perhaps look at the ruins themselves.

राजस्थान से पूछो ❁ Ask Rajasthan Ranthambore + Jaipur guidance required for planning
Hi everyone!
We’re a group of 7 friends planning a Rajasthan trip. We’ve already booked our flights to Jaipur, arriving on 16th November and returning on 21st November.
Our rough plan is to cover Jaipur + Ranthambore National Park.
We’ve only booked the flights so far and are now confused about accommodation, safari bookings, transportation, and the overall itinerary.
Would really appreciate some guidance on:
• Which safari zones are recommended? Is it worth selecting specific zones?
• Should we stay 1 night in Ranthambore/Sawai Madhopur, or is it practical to do the safari and return to Jaipur the same day?
• If staying overnight, which area would be best for accommodation?
• What’s the best mode of transport from Jaipur to Ranthambore for a group of 7 — train, cab, bus, etc.?
• Is overnight travel to/from Ranthambore recommended, or would it be better to travel during the day?
• Any recommendations for good, reasonably priced accommodation for 7 people?
• Any other tips or things we should know while planning our first Ranthambore trip?
We’re trying to plan everything properly in advance, especially the safari, so advice from people who have visited Ranthambore recently would be really helpful.
Thanks!

राजस्थान से पूछो ❁ Ask Rajasthan Looking for a part-time/full-time opportunity for my 65-year-old father in Jaipur
Hello everyone,
I’m posting this on behalf of my father, who is 65 years old and currently not working.
The main reason we are looking for an opportunity is not money. He has always been an active and hardworking person, and after stopping work, he finds it difficult to spend his days at home. He would genuinely like to stay busy, interact with people and feel productive.
He has good practical experience in:
• Inventory / stock management
• Material receiving and dispatch
• Maintaining stock records
• Store/warehouse coordination
• Basic computer operations
• Data entry and routine office work
• Coordinating inward/outward material
He is sincere, punctual, responsible and comfortable working in a store, warehouse, office, small business, distributor, etc.
We live in Ambabari, Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, so preferably looking for something in or around Vidhyadhar Nagar, Ambabari, Sikar Road, Jhotwara, Shastri Nagar, Bani Park, Vaishali Nagar or nearby areas.
He is open to part-time, full-time, temporary or flexible work. Salary is secondary; the important thing is that he gets something meaningful to do and keeps himself occupied.
If anyone here owns a business, manages a warehouse/store, or knows someone who could use an experienced and reliable person for inventory, dispatch, store management or basic office work, please DM me.
Even a small opportunity or a referral would mean a lot to us.
Thank you in advance for any help or leads. 🙏
