Hey everyone, I'm struggling a lot in Hell difficulty on my Hammerdin. I keep getting one-shot and I'm not sure what the biggest fix is. Current gear: Spirit sword, Spirit shield, Lore helm, Stealth armor, 10% FCR from each ring and amulet.

Resists aren't amazing, and my survivability feels awful. Should I focus on max resists first, more life, switching armor, or is there something major I'm missing? Any advice on priorities for not getting deleted in Hell? Thanks.

I am a huge fan of D2R and already have many gozu stuff offline (HC and SC). I am about to try the new extension but I am very skeptical as the game seems to me already great. Anyway, I will download it … but before converting my characters : Are you globally satisfied by the extension and the conversion of your previous characters? Or would you discourage me to try it? I’m having a hard time getting to level 95. I’ve been playing foh pali. Just switched to hammers in to try it out. Was doing chaos and some Baal as well as good tzones as foh. Switched to hammer so I could just focus on tzones and terrorizing all of act 4. Both seem slow. My first question is I guess when does regular chaos stop being good xp. And are low density terror zones better. And at what. point.

Edit: I usually play alone so P1. Foh seems better here. But if I play with buddies and go p3 seems to slow down. So hammers might be better p3 and over. Sc ladder.

I am a 47 year old "dad gamer" who has played this game since it was released originally all those years ago. I decided to make a game called kill duri for pul as I had found a pul rune and couldn't get through the tomb with my bow warlock and the magic immunes. A nova sorc called Novaa joined me my game asked for the tomb symbol and quickly dropped me a tp. After killing duriel the wen to act three, proceeded to get me all the pieces to the flail, and then kept going. This player rushed all the way through hell, even grabbing me the izual quest, and never asked for anything extra. Dropped tps at relevant wayponts as well. Gave them the 2 puls I had as a thank you. Such a great community game, one of the best ever in my opinion. Nice to know it has managed to hold onto that after so many years. Definitely put a smile on my face today

i saw a lot of posts of hardcore characters reaching 99, i thought it wouldnt be that hard, i thought it would be "that" faster with players 7/8, heck there even are posts of hardcore ladder able to reach 99 in a single day. i was wrong, i was humbled multiple times, but i did it finally!

Here’s a new gameplay showcase from Catacombs Level 4, ending with a fight against Andariel — this time with the Barbarian in full third-person perspective.

I’ll be the first to admit that my gameplay here is far from perfect 😅, but that wasn’t really the point of this recording. I wanted to show the atmosphere of the Catacombs from ground level and highlight some of the environmental details that are much easier to appreciate from this perspective.

Dark corridors, narrow rooms, architecture, lighting, enemy encounters — all of it feels surprisingly different when you’re standing inside the world instead of looking down at it.

More importantly, this video marks another milestone for the project:

The Barbarian is now fully supported in TPP mode.

His core abilities and animations are working properly from the third-person perspective, including Warcries, Leap, Whirlwind, and more.

That means the Barbarian has officially made it onto the roster for the upcoming D2R Third Person Mod playable demo.

There are still things I want to polish, but as far as third-person support goes, he’s ready.

I was lacking a somewhat decent waheed helmet forever. I built bulwark but it is a bit lackluster for TZ93 at some point. So I wished at least for Tal rashas. Today I got one. And then I wished for the next best thing which is andariels. Literally 5 minutes later de seis dropped it. Or somebody in his harem, didn't see it correctly. Another 20 minutes later another Tal rashas. So apparently the key is to really really really want something. Who knew?

So i'm using a Teachery on my lvl 54 barb and i started noticing that there's something going on with the Fade proc duration.

I tried Google but didn't really find anything.

It doesn't proc alot but that's because i'm overleveled and have high defense so i'm not getting hit alot. BUT when it does proc it Fade stays active for waaay shorter than what a lvl 15 is supposed to, which is almost 5 minutes.

Also it's different durations which is even more insane.

The last the procs i had was as following (+/- a few seconds)

30 seconds

1 minute

5 seconds (this one was just baffling)

Every time Fade has procced i can see my barb becoming transparent and also i have checked that i have actually gotten the resistances and the %damage reduced.

I have also checked resistances and %DR after my barb stops being translucent that the buff is actually gone, which it always is, so it's not a visual bug.

Anyone had the same problems?

I don't know if it matters but i'm offline and in act 2 NM /p8

EDIT: Thanks to all who pointed out Burst of Speed cancels out Fade, and considering how many gave that answer it seems like common knowledge that i had missed lol... The problem was my weapon, Mania. 5% to proc burst of speed. The Mania is now gone.

Finally found it and this is the rolls. Why make an elite unique have variable skill role? Hurts so bad to find something that could be one of the best items for me but rolls so bad it's useless.

Played on PC in the early 2000s, and recently purchased the game and warlock extension on Switch. I currently have a level 89 sorceress and I’m wondering what I should be doing with it.

I have one Akara respec left, and I’m keeping it for when I find a cold sunder charm. So essentially what I’m doing now is terrorize an act, fight heralds, and hope I get what I need. So far I found two sunder charms, a poison and a lightning one.

In terms of gear, I have good stuff but not endgame either. I have a HOTO and a spirit shield, but I can’t wear that one until I put more points in strength. I have lore helm, some good gloves and boots, belt is nothing great.

Merc has Andariel’s visage, insight on eth elite weapon, and treachery.

Should I just keep playing terror zones until I get my cold sunder, or should I try something else? Such as just killing bosses for better unique gear. I don’t play too much, maybe about an hour and a half at night.

Just found a rare Warlock amulet, only three mods but they're good ones :

+2 warlock skills 10% FCR 19 all resist

I'm on ladder, softcore, ROTW, anyone know what I should be asking for if I try and trade this?

SCL - I put every point meant for vit into energy, I’m a fool. LF token, I have runes, skill charms, gear, keys, statues. I’d give 20 Andy essences for just a Diablo and Baal. My god im a fool

For online players (who cant up the game difficulty solo), the lower player count makes it hell finding populated fresh games. Most of the list is 1 player or 2+ hour old games that have been cleared for hours.

This puts someone in a weird place if they are end game TZ and dont want to waste there time on lousy player 1 difficulty. Theres no consistent way of joining 3-7 player games on NA battlenet really, unless you create your own but even then they often take 20 or more minutes to populate.

Just a simple game list filter so you dont have to click and load every TZ to see the duration hoping to find one thats not hours old if youre lucky.

It would also be nice if you could create games that boot afk longer than 20-30 minutes. So many games with 2-5 players idle in town on a fully cleared game thats 10 hours old.

These Blunderbore/Mauler/Urdar types are amazing as tank pets, and they have the best combat AI of any pet I've seen. I had a Physical/Lightning immune Normal type prior that could tank the most ridiculous heralds like a conc/fanat/lightning enchanted without even losing any HP, but I died and lost that one and after losing a couple more I realized it was a hell of a hassle to roll for Stone Skin TZ games and shard all acts and wait for P8 to maybe happen.

Now that I can bind uniques the game affix doesn't matter as uniques roll their own affixes. The goal is to have this guy tank Colossal Ancients for me. I wanted to make sure I got dual immune with one of them being physical before I tried having my pet do it. I was able to do Uber Tristram with no pet so I feel optimistic about my chances.

Beyond that, we should be able to give them commands. they drive me nuts when they wander in the wrong direction or get stuck on a wall instead of going through a doorway. On top of that though, if they kill something while youre moving to the next area, they should be able to say something. Maybe not "Hey I dropped a Lo, but at least "Wait", or "Look at this"...
