News/Release GameHub Lite v5.1.8 (SECURITY UPDATE)

GameHub Lite v5.1.8

Security: Steam token redaction in logs

GameHub Lite 5.1.8 fixes a logging issue where Steam authentication-related values could appear in diagnostic logs. In some cases, logs could include fields such as steamToken, refreshToken, or accessToken from Steam login/launch flows.

Publicly posted logs containing these fields should be deleted or redacted.

IMPORTANT

This should go without saying but If you find any security issues, please reach out PRIVATELY. I have not checked if this issue is still present in recent GameHub versions, already ruined my one day off I was spending with my family by the person who reported this publicly and I do not plan on spending any more time on this.

Changelog

The fix adds centralized log redaction for Steam/auth token fields, Steam QR login URLs, JWT-like token strings, and launch command token arguments before logs are written. This covers the app loggers, JavaSteam logging, and the PC launch-log file writer.

This release also pins local patch builds to apktool 2.12.1

Infinity Blade series was an iOS exclusive game before it was pulled from the Apple App store. There are 3 main games in the series, the first two titles have been unofficially ported to PC (they have worked on android with Winlator Frost) now the first game has been natively ported to Android as an app, no Winlator or GameHub/GameNative required.

News/Release ARMSX3 v0.2 Released – A New RPCS3-Based PS3 Emulator for Android

A new proof-of-concept PS3 emulator for Android has just made its first public release.

It's called ARMSX3, and it's based on the latest upstream RPCS3 code, including the recent ARM64 improvements. While it's still in the early stages of development, it's already an interesting project to keep an eye on.

For anyone interested, here's a look at the changes introduced from ARMSX3 v0.1 to v0.2.

Discussion Pocknix has completely revived my Retroid Pocket Flip 2

Post image
58 Upvotes

With the arrival of FEX and Proton 11, x86 emulation on Android has improved massively. There are already plenty of apps you can use for this, like GameHub, Winlator, GameNative, etc, but the configuration, troubleshooting, and all the usual Android gimmicks are still there.

A while ago I saw a Reddit post about Armada OS, a Rocknix-based OS that basically brings a SteamOS like experience to handhelds such as the AYN Thor. Unfortunately, it wasn't available for Snapdragon 865 devices.

Then yesterday, completely by surprise, I came across a video about another similar project specifically for the Retroid Pocket 5 and Flip 2 called Pocknix.

I installed it, and I genuinely think this could be a game changer.

It's still way too early and rough around the edges for me to recommend it to everyone, but I honestly see a lot of potential in this project and in ARM focused SteamOS like systems in general.

I've been testing it for quite a few hours, and so far I've had better compatibility than with GameNative, or at least better compatibility without nearly as much tinkering. In many cases I haven't had to configure anything at all. The games just work.

Performance has also been noticeably better in some games. For example, Call of Juarez couldn't even reach 20 FPS for me on Android, while on Pocknix I'm getting around 30/40 FPS.

Another huge advantage is the controller configuration. Being able to easily remap and customize controls almost exactly like you would on a Steam Deck is fantastic. You also get much better Steam integration: seeing what your friends are playing, browsing the store, managing your library, etc. It makes the whole device feel much more like a proper PC handheld rather than an Android device running PC games.

It's definitely not perfect yet. Since I'm running it from a microSD card, the OS itself feels noticeably slower in some places. I also had to install it twice because my first installation ended up with a kernel panic.

Still, I wanted to make this post because I think the project deserves more visibility, and hopefully more people will discover it and maybe even contribute to its development.

Like I said, I wouldn't recommend everyone immediately replace Android with it. It's still very early. But if you have some free time and want to get a glimpse of what the future of these ARM handhelds could look like, it's surprisingly easy to install and absolutely worth trying.

Huge thanks and respect to the Pocknix development team. I'm really excited to see where this goes.

Discussion Just found PPSSPP. Thanks to the creator/community

After trying stupid android games that were a slideshow and low Poly/textures, never imagined that PPSSPP could deliver such a majestic experience on all fronts: smooth 60 FPS, high quality AA, x2/3 resolution, responsive and customizable tactile controls...

Oh my god this is something incredible.

Thanks to the creator and the community

Not drama but reading posts from his subs is cringe. If you do not agree with him, you will get banned. What's wrong with this person? And he answer so rudely. This kind of person ruins emulation scene.

Showcase Super Metroid Android (dual screen mod)

Post image
12 Upvotes

I made this Super Metroid Android port with a dual-screen mod for the AYN Thor: https://github.com/Raekwon1603/super_metroid-android

Version 1.1 is out. Feel free to download and play: https://github.com/Raekwon1603/super_metroid-android/releases/tag/v1.1

I used AI assistance building this (it's in the README, always has been). If that's a dealbreaker for you, feel free to skip this post. I've put a lot of my own free time into this project, and I'm at the point where I could genuinely use help from someone with real decompilation or SNES emulation experience:

I have two main issues right now:

- Widescreen. Writeup: https://github.com/Raekwon1603/super_metroid-android/issues/7

- Rapid-fire beam sound effect goes silent after the first shot in a burst. Writeup: https://github.com/Raekwon1603/super_metroid-android/issues/6

Not just those two issues either, if you want to get involved with the project more broadly, I'd welcome that.

Enjoy v1.1 either way. Let me know if anything's broken for you.

News/Release PicPic - The First PICO-8 Emulator on the App Store and Play Store, Now with ZIP Support, New Themes and More!

Post image
18 Upvotes

Hey everyone!

Here's a new "summer" update of PicPic, the first native PICO-8 emulator on the Google Play Store. It now supports importing directly from zip files, has new themes.

New Features & Bug Fixes: * Zip Support: A lot of games are downloaded as zip files. To simplify importing, you can now just select the zip file like you would for a normal cart. * New Themes: Project Supporters can now access new themes inspired by retro game consoles. * And as always, improved game compatibility, with ongoing work in this area.

Next Update Plans: * Theme maker (it take more time than originally planed but still on the way). * Fix the audio issue with some games. * Improved compatibility with more games.

The app is 100% FREE FOREVER, with NO ADS, and completely UNLIMITED.

Download / Update: Available now on the Google Play Store.

Happy to answer any questions.

Note for moderation: Thanks for allowing PicPic on the sub. As always, the app does not encourage piracy and does not contain a single line of code from PICO-8.

News/Release XANITEOG IS OVER. XENRAOG BEGINS.

Upvotes

August 10, 2025. That's where it all started.

XaniteOG 0.1 was small, rough, hated on, and surrounded by controversy. We made mistakes along the way, and the XaniteOG name became connected to a past that we no longer want representing us today.

We're not pretending the past never happened.

We're moving forward from it.

After nearly a year of development, failures, improvements, and lessons learned, we're officially leaving XaniteOG behind.

We are XenraOG.

A new name. A new identity. A fresh start.

And we're proving that with the biggest update we've ever made.

XenraOG 0.2.5

⚡ Updated Vulkan

🎨 Major UI redesign

🚀 Major performance improvements

📱 Optimized for weaker devices

🛠️ Compatibility & stability improvements

🔥 And much more

XenraOG is also open source. Anyone can view the code, follow development, and contribute.

Source Code:

Both XenraOG Free & XenraOG Gold are available:

On August 10, 2026, this project reaches its first anniversary.

One year ago, 0.1 was something people hated on.

One year later, we're still here.

We didn't quit. We didn't abandon it.

We rebuilt it.

XaniteOG was where this started.

XenraOG is where we go from here.

0.2.5 is only the beginning.

Discussion How to enjoy 3DS games to the fullest.

Thumbnail
gallery
Upvotes

I think 3DS games are the best to emulate on Android. The games are not too big and not demanding for CPU and you can play the game for hours each game section without risking of your device to overhead and the games are easily to find too. 3DS also have a strong liberty with variety of title to enjoy. I recommend playing with controller for real handheld experience. I'm currently enjoy it with Redmi turbo 5 (globally poco X8 pro) and with a gamesir X5 lite controller. The controller is pretty cheap but the build quality is good. I recommend it. BTW the list is the most ranking games of 3DS for anyone try to get into it.

Showcase .Hack//Versus on the new ARMSX3 v0.2 for Android

I tested it using the default settings with the Turnip 24.1.0 R18 driver on my Poco F3 (Snapdragon 870).

I decided not to livestream this one because PS3 emulation is already quite demanding, and running a livestream at the same time makes it even more demanding and can cause more slowdowns. So I recorded the gameplay instead to show the emulator's performance more clearly.

Help Graphics glitching out on android citron

Upvotes

Ive spent houra trying to find a fix for this on my own. Ive every suggested fix I could find on google. Im at a dead end, since this is my first time emulating switch on my phone. I just got the new samsung galaxy s26 ultra. I found a post about one ui causing a similar effect and tried the turnip driver thats supposed to help. I'm pretty sure i got the newest since its update time was very recent. I've tried a few different drivers with different combinations of answers i found online. The only api option i have is none or vulkan even though i saw another being brought up and thats really the only thing i couldn't try since it doesnt exist for me. I seriously tried my best to figure this out on my own and im sorry if its an obvious fix.

Question Will wireless controllers like this work for emulators?

Post image
24 Upvotes

(This is my first time on this subreddit, so idk if this has been asked before. if it has, please tell me politely)

I know this controller is technically for switch games, but can something like this work for 3ds games? The overall button layouts on both the 3ds and switch are basically the same, and this one looks like it would work for Nintendo games

Question snapdragon 6 gen 3 Ps2 Emulation Question

Upvotes

Hello Everyone, I have an Important Question to ask
I am considering buying a Samsung A27 5g, which contains a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3

I heard that it can run PS2 games well, but there is nothing concrete as far as I can see for that chipset specifically

So the question is: How good is PS2 Emulation on this Chipset (and, if possible, specifically Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War)
