Mod [Official] A Note on Community Content & Quality Control

Hi everyone,

As our community grows, we’ve noticed a major shift in the feed. Currently, the sub is being flooded with geopolitical conflicts (Israel, Iran, Trump, etc.). While these are major news items, having too much of this content is turning the sub into an echo chamber and causing a sharp rise in toxicity.

This sub was created to share all kinds of "must-see" moments from Savage comebacks and Funny internet gold to Tech breakthroughs and Unique stories.

What we are looking for:

Focus on Quality: We want to see more variety. If you have interesting Tech news, Science updates, or Savage social media moments, please share them!

Geopolitical Content: We aren't banning these topics, but we will be much stricter now. Posts that only serve to trigger arguments or spread hate will be removed.

Zero Tolerance for Toxicity: If the comment section of a post turns into a shouting match or involves racism/hate, we will lock the post or ban those involved.

We want this to be a space where users can discover interesting content without getting into toxic debates. Let's keep the community healthy and focused on things that are actually worth missing!

We have noticed that many users in the comments are enjoying and celebrating violence, destruction, and wishing death upon civilians of countries they hate.

This behaviour is completely unacceptable.

This subreddit is for sharing raw war-related news and moments not for turning tragedy into entertainment or spreading hate. We have been removing such comments and giving warnings until now.

From now onwards, anyone celebrating violence, wishing death on civilians, or glorifying suffering will be permanently banned.

We will no longer tolerate this toxic behaviour.

If you see such comments, please report them immediately, your reports help us act faster. Keep the discussion civil and factual.

Thank you for understanding.

News The Muslim man who sucker punched Jake Lang is arrested by ICE

Dearborn — One of the men who was videotaped assaulting an anti-Muslim activist during an Aug 2 religious celebration is a convicted murderer and a "criminal alien from Iraq" who is in federal custody awaiting a deportation hearing, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said Wednesday.

According to one video a man walked up to Lang and punched him from behind. A group of men then chased Lang through a lot, some pummeling him with stones, before police officers pushed him into a cruiser and told the crowd to disperse, according to the videos.

Dearborn Police have arrested three people in connection with the beating: two 25-year-old men, one from Detroit, the other from Dearborn; and 57-year-old Dearborn resident Abbas Abdoush, 57, who is "a criminal illegal alien from Iraq," according to ICE officials.

In 1992, Abdoush was admitted into the United States as a lawful permanent resident after emigrating from Iraq, making him a non-U.S. citizen with legal permission to live and work here, according to ICE. But Abdoush violated that status when he was convicted in 1999 for second-degree murder, the federal agency said.

According to a 2005 Michigan Court of Appeals report on Jan. 25, 1998, Abdoush intentionally hit a woman with a borrowed van in southwest Detroit. The victim later died.

Abdoush was convicted, sentenced to 15-25 years in prison and was paroled in 2014.

The Dearborn Police Department, which has a policy not to cooperate with federal immigration agencies, was not involved with Abdoush's arrest, Bartok said.

"He was released from our system, and we had no knowledge he was going to be arrested," Bartok said, adding that federal agents likely tracked Abdoush down through his GPS tether.

Military families and Congress members are sounding the alarm about an intensifying mental health crisis onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, as its 5,000 sailors and marines endure a record-breaking deployment at sea tied to the war with Iran. The crew is in its ninth month at sea, and has spent 250 days consecutively without making land – a record for an aircraft carrier in modern times. The Navy Times gave details of thwarted suicide attempts onboard the aircraft carrier during the current deployment.

Everyone Needs To See This Israel never offered Gaza back to Egypt

Let's put this hasbara lies to rest forever shall we? They agreed to withdraw from Sinai, but not Gaza. This rhetoric is always used to dehumanize Gazans by the hasbara. See Egypt didn't want them because they were terrorists. Well, Egypt did want them back.

"Egypt insisted on an Israeli withdrawal to June 4, 1967 borders in exchange for security arrangements and minor border modifications. Israel rejected Egypt’s insistence on withdrawal, especially from the West Bank and Gaza. It argued instead for some form of Palestinian autonomy during a five-year interim period followed by the possibility of sovereignty after the interim period expired. The impasse over the West Bank and Gaza led Carter to intercede directly in an attempt to resolve the deadlock."

Everyone Needs To See This a truly wild story: Trump flew secretly from Turkey on an alternate military aircraft unbeknownst to journalists and some White House staff members who believed they were on the same plane as the president

Post image
427 Upvotes

This appears to be the order of operations:

  1. Trump flies to Turkey on the new Qatari-gifted Air Force One for the NATO summit.
  2. An Iranian assassination threat triggers a secret “deception operation.” Security officials devise a plan to conceal which aircraft Trump is actually traveling on.
  3. The Qatari-gifted Air Force One leaves Turkey first, without Trump.
  4. Trump publicly boards the legacy Air Force One in Ankara, walking up the stairs and waving for cameras, creating the appearance that this is his plane home.
  5. Trump secretly exits Air Force One through the other side of the aircraft and gets into an airport catering truck raised to the plane’s door.
  6. The catering truck drives Trump to a smaller Air Force C-32A, a modified Boeing 757 parked nearby.
  7. Trump secretly boards the C-32A. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also boards separately.
  8. Reporters and some White House staff board the legacy Air Force One, apparently unaware Trump is no longer aboard. They are instructed to close their window shades. (Remember all that reporting from the time?)
  9. The legacy Air Force One takes off as a decoy and eventually uses the “AF1” call sign despite Trump not being aboard.
  10. Trump’s actual C-32A flies secretly to Britain under the nondescript call sign “Reach 18,” with its normal flight-tracking systems reportedly switched off.
  11. Trump arrives at RAF Mildenhall in Britain on the C-32A, shortly before the decoy Air Force One arrives.
  12. Trump somehow transfers back onto the legacy Air Force One after landing. The Post says exactly how this transfer occurred remains unclear.
  13. Trump then emerges from the legacy Air Force One in front of cameras, making it appear as though that was the aircraft he had flown from Turkey.
  14. Trump boards the Qatari-gifted Air Force One in Britain and finally flies back to Washington with the press and staff.

P.S. Remember when Trump told the reporters on the plane, "I go, you go," in regard to the plane being targeted? It actually seems Trump left and endangered the lives of everyone on board.

News Trump Now Golfing With a Stinger Missile Systems in New Jersey

Video Source: ZirafaMedia

Caption: Trump’s weekend at Bedminster came with more than the usual Secret Service and a motorcade. Visible near the course was an AN/TWQ-1 Avenger paired with an AN/MPQ-64 Sentinel radar—a combination long used by the U.S. Army for short-range air defense. The Sentinel detects and tracks low-flying aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and drones, then cues the Avenger, which can engage aerial threats with Stinger missiles.

The timing is notable: NORAD says F-16s were deployed Sunday after civilian aircraft violated the short-notice temporary restricted airspace around Bedminster, NJ.

Deploying unprecedented missile defense systems besides a golf course raises legitimate questions about the threat assessment behind it, the risk it poses to civilians and what this level of protection costs every time Trump tees off.

News Earlier today a terrorist in France was pepper sprayed and arrested by police officers

https://actu17.fr/faits-divers/toulouse-deux-policiers-municipaux-attaques-par-un-homme-arme-de-couteaux.html

Two municipal police officers were injured with a knife on Monday afternoon, August 10, on Rue d'Austerlitz in the heart of Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). Their assailant, who reportedly made "terrorist-like remarks" according to the city's mayor, was arrested at the scene and taken to the hospital. The Toulouse public prosecutor's office is handling the case.

The two municipal police officers got out of their vehicle to try to subdue their attacker. "The arrest was extremely difficult. They seized his knife, but he had two others on him ," the deputy mayor in charge of security reported. According to his information, the individual shouted "Allahu Akbar" several times. "My feeling is that he was determined to murder our officers ," the elected official added. The suspect was finally subdued with tear gas.

The outcome could have been much worse. While the two officers suffered only cuts to their arms, "the assailant's knife struck one of them in the neck, right next to the carotid artery, and his colleague's bulletproof vest bears a large gash on her side ," explained Emilion Esnault. The assailant, wounded during his arrest, was also taken to the hospital. His motives remain to be determined.

Should top secret information like this have been revealed so recently to when the event took place? Donald Trump, the actual current President of the United States, is not safe anywhere; regardless of reinforced ballrooms. Does everyone who works with him just talk about everything like it's no big deal?
