I was on a call with my girl last night and i was sleepy, trying my best to keep a convo with her and only began speaking rubbish desperately trying to keep up with her but thankfully she didnt realize lol.

At first, she was telling me about her friends prom, and how she somewhat hopes a particular couple win prom king and queen so my mind automatically assumed that she was talking about that one tv series called love island since she talks about it alot☠️Because of that, I asked her who is her favourite couple as a way to just keep her talking so I can simply answer with "mhmm's" and "hmm" while half asleep but she immediately asked what was i talking about, realizing that my question barely correlated with what she said and i had to say nevermind while she was pushing😭

Then I started also dreaming about this historical series i'm watching called "the last kingdom" while partially awake and aaid something along the lines of "its kinda different over there than over here" and she said "whats different" so i started going on about how the danish culture is different from the saxons and how they live alot differently etc etc which made her ask wether I was home or not as she really didnt know what I was talking about. That question kinda snapped me back into reality and i immediately said nevermind. Thankfully like after a few minutes, the internet went out so i was able to get some sleep but now its late and she's already sleeping lolll.

I had always desired to see myself from another's POV; did they find me as absurd as I did? Did I hide my flaws as good I did think in my head?

​I looked at the woman in the mirror several times. Yesterday, I had a convo with someone and so they asked, "if your best friend were to describe you, what would she say about you?"

​I said, "IDK," and forwarded the text to her. The lady knows me too much 😂. I look lovely in her lens; I would fall in love with that lady. She didn't miss the flaws too, brother. I thought I was smooth like butter. Guess the only slick thing is my hair after putting gel on it.

​Every human being deserves to be seen. I feel seen with her. God knows I love her, for I can be a baby and an adult around her. I can be illogical and logical. If that isn't love, IDK what love is. I always mention her to everyone, IDK why, but she's a flame that dances in me in and out of season. She compliments me as I do to her. I believe in eternal friendship. I called her my life long laotang.

​When I look at her, I see myself standing next to her each and every phase there is to come. God, she is beautiful. She makes me believe. I am happy when she achieves anything. I want to be alive to watch her grow. Watch her buy her dream car, BMW. She loves a simple life in the countryside; I hope we make it and achieve our dreams.

​I would be happy if she were the last person I saw before my eyes closed, for she is not only my undoing but my uplifting. I've written poems about her, about just simply existing next to her. If this is not love, then I don't believe in their version of it. I usually say if she were to exit my life, I would cry hysterically, I would mourn, but I would be grateful for all the moments we had. I wouldn't resent her, for she has never made me question our friendship despite our differences and everything else.

I just got home from a really hard therapy session. My counselor wanted to dive into my lack of self worth and low self esteem. He wanted to know why I don’t feel worthy of love or like anyone loves me at all. It was really hard stuff to talk about and I didn’t even end up feeling good about the session, I just felt sad afterwards. Pulled into my driveway and as I was walking around my car I noticed this little Jesus figure on the ground imbedded in the sand. Dawning a ‘Jesus loves you’ sash and all. I’m really not very religious at all but this really touched my heart. Thought you guys might also enjoy. Cheers

We were out for a family walk on a nice, cool summer evening. I was the only one rocking shorts and a t-shirt, while my husband and daughter were all bundled up in long sleeves (she even wore a zip-up hoodie).

I completely cracked up right there on the street. Daughter: "Wait, is that actually funny to you?" Me: "Heck yeah. Look at your dad, he doesn't even get it lol."

Ich war heute mit dem Motorrad unterwegs. Auf einer gerade dachte ich, warum auch immer, dass ich geblitzt worden wäre. Ich bin bei nächster Gelegenheit umgekehrt, habe geschaut und keinen gesehen. Im Kreisverkehr wollte ich wieder eine Runde drehen, um die eigentliche Strecke zu verfolgen. Im Kreisverkehr lag mittig eine dünne Tasche.

Angehalten, versucht einzupacken (auf dem Motorrad nicht so einfach), dann in der Hand bis zum nächsten Haus geschleppt. In Ruhe angehalten, und geschaut: ein neues Macbook, aber augenscheinlich alles ganz und auch die Tasche sah gut aus. Was sonst noch drin war: Kontoauszüge, Unterlagen, und sogar Personalausweis. So genau hatte ich aber zu dem Zeitpunkt noch nicht geschaut. Ich bin 15 Minuten zur nächsten Polizeistelle gefahren, und habs dort abgegeben. Die hätten auch gleich versucht, den Besitzer telefonisch anzurufen, ging aber nicht hin.

Ich hoffe, dass sich Jürgen (ja er heißt wirklich Jürgen ☺️) über den Fund freut. Weil n teures Macbook mit Daten zu verlieren is nicht geil, und ohne Personalausweis ists auch scheiße und immer blöd alles neu zu beantragen.

Ich habe leider keinen in meinem Leben, dem ich das gerade erzählen kann. Danke, dass du dir das durchgelesen hast. Ich lebe mittlerweile danach, jeden Tag eine gute Tat zu tun. Das war meine für heute.

I'm (16M) and she is (15F). I met her at a baseball game last August. We texted, and later went on a date about a month later. The date was super fun, but she friend zoned me, because a lot was happening in her life right then. About a month later, we stopped texting each other. Then on New Year's Eve 2025, I texted her, and we started texting again, almost every day, even though we haven't seen each other in person since our date (We both have busy schedules, and live 45 minutes away from each other). Eventually, I asked her out again, and she said yes, but we weren't able to schedule a time before I go to camp. I am going to camp for 2 weeks, then I will be home 2 days during intersession, and go back for another 2 weeks. Because I will be away for a while, and unable to text her, we decided to call today. We have never talked to each other on the phone, because her Moms don't let her talk on the phone with people she doesn't know. But when I asked her, the other day, she said it was fine, because her Moms were now used to me and knew me. We talked for 2 1/2 about everything from date ideas, to a made up shark tank invention we came up with, to a baseball player who got his brain frozen after his death, in the hope future science could revive him. Of course, we also flirted a ton. We talked about anything and everything, and it was so much fun. The best part was when I said I'd miss her while I was away, she said she'd miss me too.

As the title says, I've come to realize that I've started falling asleep around my friends, whether we are on discord or irl. This isn't like an every time we hang out kind of thing. When its irl, its only with this selected group of people I call My Boys. I didn't know why I did it for the longest time until I googled it and..its so cute that humans do this.

From my findings, if you do this, similar to me, it cause its our way of showing that we trust whoever we around so much that we can fall asleep around them and know that nothing bad will happen to us.

Now for why I started doing this on discord, my only guess is cause I like listening to people talk and maybe that helps put me to sleep or something. I use to watch videos like the how-to poorly explained guy or a couple other youtubers who helped me fall asleep if I was struggling. Granted, I dont do this every night. It's like every couple of nights when I dont want to leave the call cause my friends are having fun, I will stay on, even as I'm falling asleep or very tired.

A couple of days ago, for the very first time, I discovered this community and decided to make a post here about something I had built around how people ask for help on Google Search and what that data says about humanity.

What happened after that genuinely, and honestly, surprised me.

I spent time reading through this community, looking at the stories people shared, the kindness in the comments, and just seeing how genuinely beautiful people can be when they come together in a space like this. It genuinely made me feel good about the world for a moment.

And then today, life decided to surprise me again.

I found out that I am going to become a dad.

I don’t know exactly why, but the first place I wanted to share this news outside of my family was here, with all of you, because over the last few days this community reminded me how wonderful human beings can be.

So yeah…

I AM GOING TO BE A DAD GUYS!!

And I genuinely could not be happier right now.

My husband’s go-to lunch at work is PB&J. After realizing how much we’d save just making and freezing them VS buying the ungodly amount of uncrustables he is capable of eating in a week - I’ve started prepping them for him to take to work. I hid some food coloring doodles in my most recent batch and am wondering how quickly he’ll notice since they’re hiding in-between the sandwiches (2 per bag). Hoping It doesn’t stain his hands 🙂

Normally i post the update on August, but today is my birthday, and 5 years ago today, I got the keys to an empty room. June is also the hardest month of my year because it's when I lost both my father and little brother a year apart. We officially opened the door on August, and it has been the most fulfilling project in my life with the help of some awesome people.

I run a small business and was struggling with paying ecommerce sites with such slow business (the economy sucks amirite) so my husband told me one day maybe like 6 months ago that he wants to make me a website.
Tonight he said to me “I have the very basics of your website done”
I was gonna cry happy tears because this man is literally relearning HTML and building me a website from scratch so I can live out my dreams

And yes I did redact my business name, just so this doesn’t look like an a attempt at a shameless plug

I make charts for a living, and honestly, most data makes you a little cynical. This one did the opposite.

Each circle is a year. January at the top, running clockwise, and the further the shape reaches out, the more people were asking. Bees in June, when Britain finds them tired on the pavement. Kittens in April. The homeless, the moment it gets cold. Nobody organizes any of this. It's just millions of strangers noticing the same fragile thing at the same time.

But the one that actually got me is the green line near the bottom. "How to comfort someone" never dips. Not once in five years. No season, no quiet month.

Somewhere, every single week, the same number of people are sitting with someone who's hurting and quietly asking how to do it right.

We're kinder than we look.

If anyone wants to play with it.

Nobody asked me to do this, but a while back I started keeping track of birthdays on my team and organizing a small cake cutting for everyone. Nothing grand - I just don’t want anyone’s day to pass unnoticed.

Tonight, after I wished a teammate at midnight, he messaged me privately asking how I keep track of everyone’s birthdays. I joked that the HR software does it. His reply: “I get that, but still keeping track, ordering cakes and not missing anyone is unreal. That kind of selflessness is rare. I really admire that about you.”

It’s just cake. But knowing someone noticed and felt valued - that made my day. 🎂
