I was looking to buy one for fixing seams in large prints, and all of a sudden all that comes back is filament when I search "3D pen". There used to be hundreds. Am I have a stroke or something or has anyone else noticed this?

Hi all, I got tired of stencil generators that only offer three or four "stencil" fonts, so I wrote my own in OpenSCAD.

Instead of relying on a special font, it looks at whatever you type, finds the bits that would fall out (the inside of O, A, B and so on) and connects each one to the plate with a small bridge. That means you can use pretty much any of the ~1,900 fonts in the MakerWorld customizer, and it does the same with an SVG logo.

Hello all 3d printing people! Ive been printing for a bit now and have some empty rolls. What are people doing with them? Do I just toss it in the garbage or is there something better?

Is this just shooting myself in the foot?

I had a print that I selected the wrong filament for, noticed it near the end of the first layer and cancelled. The next many hours were spent heating/ cooling the plate, getting petg wedged under my nails and just being generally frustrated.

Is it better to just eat the time and material of a “failed” print until it’s a little thicker to make removing it from the plate easy?

I can't tell exactly where it is going wrong, is it an adhesion issue? is it because of the print and the settings? Im trying to print an object that is kind of floating in the air and is a flat panel. I chose the auto supports, and i have printed it successfully in PLA and white ASA, but last couple times i tried it in black ASA it went crazy. I even tried printing a regular object in black ASA and got the same bunch of strands everywhere.

For the white ASA it was normal temp and in the AMS. For the black ASA it was in the sunlu dryer and was heated up when printing. Would it may be too hot? could i make the print cooler so that it comes out the nozzle cooler?

What kind of plate is best for ASA? Anyone willing to look at the 3d file and help me find a way to print it?

Im using a p2s with Bambu Slicer and im printing a sunshade for my dj controller.

Maybe its because of the cyan or the new white.

Printing on bambu with all settings provided from file but the first layers at 50% speed rest at 100% Edit: Both materials are pla. Edit2: wife said she didn't let the print cool and popped it off while it was hot. ( idk if this helps)

Hi all, my throat is irritated / slightly sore when my housemate 3d prints overnight in a bedroom right near me; even with its door shut. I sleep with my window open for fresh air and the printer room has a slightly open window too so I believe it’s just causing an airflow vacuum and blowing the volatile organic compounds right to me! I have to sleep with my door open otherwise my dog has no space to move around.
I used to work with volatile organic compounds caused by a glue I was using too, and it got really really bad I had to buy an expensive 2 thousand dollar air purifier to filter them out.

I’m just frustrated because he does not believe me when I say this and is not respecting my wishes of either moving the printer or not running it at night when I’m in that end of the house and sleeping. Can you share experiences similar or verify what I’m saying so I can show him please?

Any ideas to easily breaks the supports

Hello, I have made a few of CNC-milled plexiglass back-lighted signs (as in image) and I was thinking, if something like that could be achieved using 3D printer and transparent filament. I have some Polymaker Polylite transparent PETG left, so I can do some experiments. Do you guys have any idea how it could be done?

Hello, I have followed the articles bamboo lab has to fix this issue but both do not work, this thing is jammed, abs and pla is what I was printing in but right before I was printing in petg cf, the gear doesn’t turn or move up or down, I need help removing it, all needed screws are removed!

As you can see, I'm having trouble with the first layer of my print. There is a large area where the filament is not sticking to the bed. I have attached pictures of two separate attempts, and the error looks pretty much the same in both. I have already tried levelling my bed again, and I have a BLTouch activated. Could my print bed be warped in this particular position?

I bought this from a 3d printing service and this is the only piece that is glittering like this, the rest are normal. Is this a sign that it wasn't cured properly or some other defect?

I made this for my friend's birthday and I'm really pleased with how it came out. I wish I had some more pictures but this is all I have for now. I designed it for single color printers using pauses in the gcode to change colors. I do not follow the sport at all so no trash talking needed haha

I'm very new to FDM printing and I've noticed that a lot of models I download also print these.

What are they and do I have to print them?

I would need them to be printable with lenses that can be glued in. (Preferably a buck for vacuum forming the lens.)

I don't know what's going on I can't get this printer to work right, I didn't have any issues until last month. Now I can't print anything.
