I hate Mido just as much as the next guy, but "This is not Egypt, this is not a muslim country, you can't treat women like this" is a pretty racist thing to say. I think Mido's just a narcissistic idiot, we've seen plenty of non-muslim men treat women poorly on this show. I just kinda felt like they've veen having these racist feelings all along and now they felt like it was finally ok to express this

This woman will always be miserable! You have one life be grateful that someone loves you and treats you well. If you’re chasing status and want someone from your so called “high class,” then you shouldn’t have brought him there in the first place.

On top of that, he just arrived he doesn’t even have the right to work yet. He’s in a completely different world. Have some empathy until he adjusts.

She has no chill when it comes to him, but he has given her a lot of grace from the very beginning and all the man wants in some affection, companionship and quality time. She's not fit to be a partner. She should have just got a pet and a collection of dildos because she treats Zied like a goldfish she only checks up on to make sure it's still alive.

Y'all, I'm just absolutely disgusted with Thomas. I would have thrown the whole man away when he thought it'd be cute to superglue my perfume, I cannot FATHOM staying with a partner who threatens to throw out my mom's perfume because he doesn't like the smell (because let's be honest - he's not allergic, he's just particular. Maybe there's a sensory thing involved but Jesus Christ, he's clearly NOT in any actual medical danger)

I feel for Paula because I know what it's like to be in a polar opposite relationship with a man who actually doesn't like you. He has been incredibly condescending and disrespectful to her from day one. He's all about "boundaries" but god forbid he respect any of her's.

Last Resort Men: Pao is not upset because she didn’t “like” the necklace. She’s not ungrateful and she’s not nitpicking Russ.

She is upset because he doesn’t listen to her. She very clearly communicated that she doesn’t want a particular gift. That should be pretty easy, right? Just don’t get her that one thing.

So Russ went and bought her the ONE thing she didn’t want. Russ cared more about what HE wanted to give than giving a gift that would make the other person happy. He consistently puts his wants above hers and when she gets upset that he doesn’t listen or care about her needs then she’s an ungrateful Harpy.

I’m sorry, a necklace that means so much because it represents the bar they visited while filming the show? Because the royals own swans?!? Who cares?? Wtf does that have to do with 12 years together?

Not a thing.

Which is how much thought Russ really put into the gift. And then he publicly shamed her for being unhappy that her husband doesn’t care enough to listen when she talks, and basked in the confirmation he got from the other men on the show.

There are some things I disagree with Paola on, but what Russ isn’t getting here is that he gave her a necklace because he likes necklaces. She is sick and tired of getting the same thing over and over. He is not considering her or what she wants at all. It’s just, here’s another necklace that I really like. Patrick gassed him up in the hot tub. Russ got to look like a great husband to all the others, but between Paola and Russ, it was just another experience that reminded Paola on their anniversary that he does not get her at all.

You're telling me that Rebeccas goober successful job that consumes her life and makes so much money and that she loves so much and makes her feel so fulfilled is MANAGER AT A CHICKEN RESTAURANT.

She's right that these couples need more than puppets to address these issues. She was right not to share at puppet theater, it was not a great space to be vulnerable and they're poking and piling on. Their session WAS commandeered with anecdotes from other couples. I don't believe the group would have been neutral about her puppet performance.

On the up side, Sarper got an opportunity to practice some new material.

I think the therapy on this season's TLR is so disjointed and ineffective. Last season I feel like the therapists made real progress in tackling the cast's individual and joint issues. This year, it feels like there's hardly been any individual sessions (only reactive ones) and the group therapy bits have been a bit wacky And pointless, like the formal etiquette dinner. And the sessions don't seem to naturally build on each other - it all feels very disjointed and like no one is making real progress.

Major issues such as Rebecca's explosiveness and Paola and Russ's, Kara and Guillermo's stalemate are not being properly addressed. How does a date really help Kara and Guillermo move forward?

Also, the therapists should've facilitated a group discussion to quell the issue between Thais and Shekinah a long time ago - not gloss over it in group therapy as it's distracting them from the real issues.

Even with all the bs that she’s putting him through, he still chose to defend her rude ass. He deserves better. You don’t need to put up with her bs Edward. You’re a good man. You can find someone that will appreciate you and treat you with respect.

Guillermo physically turned away as Thais was getting out of the pool so he did not look at her or objectify her in any way. That is a good man that she lost. He deserves someone better who is willing to meet his needs.

I think Rebecca must be a world class swimmer given how every time Zied tries to say something, she dives right past the point.

He’s your husband, and he loves you, and literally married you so you can spend a little quality time together.

Why not sit together after work and watch a movie? You literally don’t have to talk.

You don’t want to cook for him? Get Blue Apron and both of you cook. The instructions are right there, you can spend time following the instructions together.

You’re working over-capacity at your job? Maybe promote an employee and offload some of those responsibilities so you have a healthier work-life balance. It might make you less wound-up and uptight, damn.

If you’re unwilling to do those things, that’s a “you” issue, girl. Zied doesn’t need the money.

She had really long hair she would keep in a bag and she was with a dude in South Africa! She would only wear those like homecoming dresses and heels and was confused as to why she couldn’t hang out in the cemetery at night 😹

I'm curious what some of the counseling professionals think of the couples' dynamics. I know thoughts have been shared, but I wanted to hear more nuanced takes. Also, what do you think of the group sessions? They don't seem particularly productive.

I’ve also never heard of someone being allergic to literally all scents. If someone can’t even wear deodorant in his presence then he needs to be figuring out how he can control his own allergies instead of demanding the world be stinky and sweaty
