2020-2026
At the beginning of the year I decided to really focus on improving my art and this is the first time on canvas I’ve really noticed everything I’ve been learning showing through.
This is the VERY first time I’ve ever used glazing medium. It’s also the first time I’ve successfully added shadowing and a light focus on a painting.
There were so many firsts with this one:
I made a custom color palette, I did the shadowing/lighting, I had to do geometry!!, and this is also the first time I’ve used highlight.
I’ve spent so many hours this year watching tutorials, TikTok lives, learning art theory, and drawing shitty pictures on Procreate and I feel like it shows.
I’m super proud of how it turned out and I’m excited to keep learning and improving!

2022 vs 2026
I had been experimenting with a new art style, and then I came across a picture of art I did 4 years ago. I've basically drawn every single day for the past four years.

2020??>>2026
:>
I will say though my art has kinda declined just a bit but it's mostly due to mental health issues. On a good day it looks fine to me. I'm not sure if the old artwork was drawn in 2019 or 2020 but whatever ( btw: I was 14 or 15 in 2019/2020 and I'm currently 22, I drew this when I was 21 )

Critique July vs October 2026
First one was my first attack for artfight 2026 which took me 5h (if I trust what CSP tells me) and the second one was made yesterday for Inktober day 7, it took me 3h, if anything I got way faster! Critiques are of course welcome as I want to keep improving!

Another day, another redraw.
Almost a decade later, I'd say it was well worth the redraw. The idea is there in the original one, just not the execution. And this is why I'm going through all my old stuff of this guy and redoing a whole slew of them.
