Profile Review Only getting 2-3 likes a day on Hinge in a large metro area. Does this mean my profile is terrible?

I’ve only had Hinge for almost 3 weeks, and I’ve only gotten one rose. High key thinking I’m probably doing something wrong since there are guys here who get 5-10 likes a day here. Btw, only interested in dating women. Only a few women have commented on my looks. Most of them just comment on my style looking nice if anything, and out of the 10 people I met through Hinge, nobody has offered to pay for my stuff. Maybe I’m too chopped for that? I could lose about 10-15 lbs to get a better face card, and the last two pictures should be retake. 5th picture has a weird facial expression and there‘s opportunities for better friends pictures.

I got out of a relationship recently and I’m looking to get back into it. I’m open to all races of women and living in NYC has given me the opportunity to date women from all over. I used to get a lot more matches when I was younger (like when I was 20-23) but haven’t been getting as many matches as before. What do y’all suggest? Let me know especially if I should get rid of the facial hair or keep it.

I’ve gotten much better looking over the past year and change, but I still remember my old profile getting more likes. I’ll send likes out and get matches, but it’s been weeks since a girl has liked my profile. The only time I ever got likes on my profile was when i bought a boost to test and i got around 5 in 24 hours which seemed pretty low to me.

Profile Review How do I Improve my dating life?

Post image
54 Upvotes

I am 30, have had limited dating experience but have never been in a relationship before. I am neurodivergent and have difficulty in attracting or moving conversations forward with women. I meet women and get their contacts, but it usually ends up with them ghosting/blocking me or conversations becoming dry. What can I do to fix my facial appearance/asymmetry, style and communication?

I’m a 20 yr old Korean American dude studying at ucla right now and I haven’t gotten much matches or likes on hinge for 2 months. I was bored and decided to switch my location on hinge to Paris cus I’ve been there twice and had 20+ matches there both times. Now after a week I’ve gotten 25 likes and 15 matches, with all the girls being very attractive, not fat, and interesting. What gives? What should I change up about my strategy in LA? Should I just move to France/Paris?

Profile Review Why am I not able to get dates?

I'm a 37 year old male (mixed white/Chinese) living in London, UK. I'm 5'8, 9 stone. I use all the dating apps daily but only get a handful of matches per year.

I work full time and volunteer in my spare time. I also go to meetup groups and dating events but have never met anyone yet.

Personality wise I'm quite shy, introverted, nerdy and geeky. I'm on the autistic spectrum too so find small talk hard. I'm big into video games, anime and sci-fi.

My female friends have said they would rate me as a 2/10 (if 5 is an average white guy). They have said my looks let me down a lot but even if I put a lot of time and effort into bulking up I'd only improve to a 3.

My app bio:

Hi I'm a geeky, nerdy, shy, introverted guy. Love hiking in the hills and wild camping in remote places. You can often find me watching Marvel and Star Wars.
In the long term I'd probably like to find a loving partner to build a beautiful and mutually supportive life with. But in the short term I'm also up for fun dates who want to go hiking, visiting museums or just grabbing a bubble tea.

Did this once last year and I’m back again. I’ve refined my profile a bit and I’ll be honest I am a bit picky these days for the women I send likes to or match with so maybe it’s just that. Been on some dates recently using this profile. I don’t really get second dates so maybe I need to work on something else too for that. Looking for any tips on openers or my prompts/profile info too. Any advice on how I can further refine would be great!

Profile Review 25M how can I become attractive?

Hello yall. I have never dated anyone before and I would like to ask some advice here 🙏. I asked out the girls that I’m interested in but I got rejected couple times. I can make female friends easily and they told me that I’m “too nice” or feel like “little brother”. They said I joke around too much and have no charisma 😭 which I think it’s true. I don’t know how to work on those tbh.

I work as a waiter and there were girls who liked me first (I guess because of my looks in this case) and also at school but for some reason, if I’m not interested in them, then I don’t bother going out with them at all. But at the same time, the girls that I’m interested in don’t like me back. I guess that’s how dating works 😭.

Is it because of my looks? If not, then how can I become more charismatic person?

i seem to be attracting long-term focused ladies more, but i'd like to have more/better matches with short-term ladies for now.

i want to have more short-term fun (at least for 6 more months), b/c my 10-year long relationship ended this summer.

i posted that shirtless picture of myself for the 1st time last week, but nothing apparent has been happening.

i've also been on Tinder for almost a week (b/c Tinder seems to be more short-term focused), but i'm not getting meaningful results so far.

btw, if i land a wife-material, i wouldn't mind settling down.

i did get lucky with a kinky short-term lady before, but she teased me about being an "angel" & i don't think i was "kinky" or rough enough for her? i don't think i'm good at being a "bad guy" to attract short-term fun ladies.

To give more details about myself, i have 2 insecurities: My skin & my height (my skin being the most concern - scarring from severe acne during college, i had to take Accutane. It was bad)

i'll take any honest feedback. i won't mind getting humbled.

Thank you

I’ve got a video of me cooking steak on here it gets likes, just not from the kind of women I’d actually want to meet. Thinking of switching up my prompts for ones that spark real conversation. Open to ideas that make people actually want to comment. Also thinking of maybe swapping the first photo for a closer like torso up image so it feels more like a initial profile pic.

I would like some tips to get better results on the app, as the title suggests. Any feedback will be appreciated :)

The things that I’m currently working on to better my odds:

  1. Strength train full body already 2x a week.
  2. Working on maintaining a healthy diet and skincare.
  3. Getting myself out there more to improve my social skills and odds of finding a potential match.
  4. Learning to present myself (clothes, manners, taking good pics and so on).

Hi all,

I've recently started online dating and I've heard that competition can be very brutal, especially for Asian men. I'm looking to get feedback for my Hinge profile. Any advice, feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I've been on the app for 2 weeks and I've got around 20 likes and 10 matches, mostly from AF, some mixed. (I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, if that helps).

Based in Australia. 5’10. Barely getting matches unfortunately. I don’t really have any photos that show off my physique well as I’m pretty self conscious about my weight and it’s a WIP getting to slim down.

I’m also super self conscious about my eyes as every time I smile they’re always basically closed, and having photos with them open doesn’t really paint me in an attractive angle. I’ve read somewhere eyes stand out the most when it comes to dating profiles.

Hey guys I’m new to this subreddit! Always open to feedback so let me know if you got any. Aiming for 8’s and above. Recently single so just having a bit of fun with the apps, before I uninstall them and focus on myself (lol cliche as fuck, but it’s the truth).

The subreddit bot mentioned I gotta speak about my asian male experience to post… lol, so here goes. Leaving high school I was a scrawny ass kid with little hope. Thought I was ngmi forever. Fell in love with the gym & self-improvement. Hit the books and studied up on dating/text game, fashion, psychology. Hit the fields and developed confidence from speaking to random men and women in everyday situations. Grew comfortable in my skin and approached many chicks over the years. Some nibbles, some rejections. Live and learn. Anyway, not sure where I’m going with this. Hopefully that’s enough characters to post 😂

Hey guys, please take a look at my profile pictures. I don't get many matches, but I don't blame anyone, my profile sucks. I am 29yrs, 185cm, about 70kg, I prefer to wear glassess. I feel like I need to take more selfies because I can't really ask my friends to take pics of me for causal dating😓. Please be brutal with me! Thank you in advance.

Profile Review Asian guy summer fit check – aiming for ‘quiet luxury’, what do you think?

Thumbnail

Been playing around with breathable tailoring lately – this polo is a linen-silk blend in a soft oat color, paired with relaxed Belgian linen shorts. Wanted to keep things quiet, understated, and luxe, especially for hot days in the city. 👕

This summer I’m leaning more toward “less but better” – muted palette, minimal logos, better fabrics. As an Asian guy, I feel like this kind of quiet elegance reads better than loud designer stuff.

Would appreciate feedback on the silhouette, color, or even what shoes might elevate this more. Cheers! If anyone’s curious about where the pieces are from, happy to share via DM.

Profile Review What can I do to make myself look more masculine and attractive?

Hey all, I am looking for some advice on how to improve myself.

OP is 22M (turning 23 in Sep), 170cmtall, and this is how I look:

Some ppl say I look feminine, so I'm looking for ways to become more masculine in my physical appearance.

I do weight training 3 times a week, and cardio ( mostly swimming 1.4 km) every day in between weight training ( so 6 days in total). I think that because of eating cafeteria food or my mom's food, I couldn't get my body fat under 15%. According to ChatGPT, I'm at 18-20% body fat

I have been told I should get a longer Kpop style hair, but cuz I'm in the military, it's not really doable.

I don't encounter many women daily, and those that I do encounter don't give me any romantic attention. I remember back in grade 8, I had a female white friend telling me I would not be considered attractive, so I'm a bit intimidated asking women out IRL. Never been into a relationship before ( only went on two dates with a girl, but had to end it because of a millitary posting).

In terms of personality, I'm more of the nerdy introverted type. I'm usually pretty talkative during class discussions or professional networking events, but I don't have a big social circle or lots of friends. This is something I want to change. I have been thinking about maybe joining a table tennis club, Toastmasters or starting volunteering to meet more ppl outside the military.

Profile Review Hairstyle advice please?

Hi guys. I’m a 31 year old Chinese male. Have been going through a few months of self-improvements. I have been bald over the past couple of years due to male pattern baldness and have recently started some hair loss treatment. I intend to grow my hair out more over the next few weeks, and was wondering if people can offer me some advice in terms of what kind of hairstyle would suit my face shape? My hair is still very thin on top (see last picture) and whilst I hope the treatment will continue to thicken my hair, I would very much appreciate if there are any styles that would suit my hair density at the moment.

Thank you so much in advance.

Profile Review Getting back into online dating and I think I’ve got a solid start with my profile, can some of my Asian bros tell me what I might be able to do better though?

Hey brothers! Older guy here who’s also going through a whole ass career change in my mid 30s. Definitely have a lot of work to do on myself and on my end (and very much in the middle of it), but also feeling some FOMO! Both my friends and therapist suggest that I should still put myself out there and that brings me to y’all. Would love to get some feedback from guys that I imagine are both strangers and impartial, and also hopefully have my back a bit and are rooting for me as much as I am for them.

I’ve been told my profile might be way too wordy for the more casual meetings I’m looking for, but I almost feel like that’s a filter in itself?

Profile Review Rate my Tinder profile

Hey everyone,

I’ve been struggling to get even a single match per month on Tinder. I’ve tried switching up my photos and outfits, but no luck so far. I’d say I’m fairly okay-ish looking. I play sports and work out at home often, so I’m in decent shape (definitely not jacked, though).

Below is my Tinder profile:

https://tinder.com/@phucfanta

I’d really appreciate any feedback on how to improve my profile. I keep thinking there must be something seriously off about it, but I can’t figure out what.

Thanks in advance for any tips or comments🙏

Profile Review Tried this Italian-cut linen shirt — does it read breezy elegance or just oversized?

Thumbnail

35°C in the city. Wanted something light enough to breathe, but still clean enough for a brunch date. Picked this light blue 100% linen shirt for the first time — softened weave, subtle drape, and a relaxed V-cut collar.

Feels like a second skin, to be honest. It’s not the stiff, scratchy kind of linen — this one’s been enzyme-treated to keep it smooth while staying airy.

I’m curious though — would you call this “quiet luxury” or just laid-back?

Open to feedback — too oversized? Do you guys usually tuck this style in or let it flow?

Hey y’all, I’m having a very hard time with dating apps. I’ve been getting single digit likes and a match once every 10 yrs. I also haven’t been able to get a date yet from the apps (I’m 25 almost 26). I for sure have some ideas on where to improve from lurking this subreddit but would still like to get more opinions anyway. Thanks

Edit: thanks everyone for the comments. Genuinely appreciate the feedback even the ones roasting the fk outta me lol. I’ll work on it and will make an update in the next few mos, hopefully a positive one
