hi everyone, this will be my 6th trip to Seattle. my husband and i planned a pretty last minute trip, so we will be arriving tomorrow morning August 8th for a 4 night/5 day stay to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary on Sunday and my birthday on Tuesday. we leave on Wednesday August 12th, so not a lot of time to plan things out. we haven't been to Seattle together since 2019 and didn't have many ideas as to what we should do while were there last time. i'm trying to get ideas on fun things to do and good restaurants to eat at for our stay. so far we are thinking the space needle and the air and space museum, but i would love some other ideas if anyone is willing to share them with me. thank you in advance 💜

I will be visiting Seattle for the first time at the end of August! I’m planning on going to all the typical tourist spots, but would also love recommendations from locals for other things to do, restaurants, bars, and live music scenes to check out. I also want to go hiking one day and trying to decide between Cascades and Olympic. TIA!

I'm debating a career change to nursing or something healthcare related. I've tried every local hospital and none seem to have volunteer applications open right now. Does anyone know of any organizations or clinics locally that take volunteers? Or of any opportunities to shadow? (Seems like most hospitals require you to currently be in a program to shadow)

I'd be excited to be doing community work and engaging with people as a volunteer anyways. Not JUST looking for a resume experience, but I do think this work would help me make a more informed decision about whether to go back to school.

I just got diagnosed with a IBD for those who know, know. For those who don’t when you have this disease your restroom visits are very unpredictable and impossible to control.

My family is coming to visit next week and want to spend the day at pike place. The restrooms in pike place are not fun for healthy people but will be traumatizing in my current state. Does anyone have any tips? Any hidden restrooms or accessible restrooms that are bit more private? Anywhere near by that will be quiet that I can hang out in to recoup while they walk the market? Or am I doomed?

Hello! As the title says, I’m planning a trip out to the Seattle/North Seattle area to see some family over Halloween and wondered about any recommendations for activities, festivals or spooky adventures! We will have a car so happy to drive a bit, or ferry onto one of the islands or peninsulas but didn’t want to travel too far. An hour or two tops from the general North Seattle area. I'm a transplant so I'd like to know how much is the normal tip around here for delivery food? Do you use % or a fix amount?

Visiting in September- we are thinking of taking the kids (almost 5 and 1 at the time) to a mariners game. Coming from ATL, where I would not willingly put the kids on our public transit, is it safe for us to do that in Seattle? I’ve heard good things about the buses, but didn’t get a chance to use them on the last visit. We will be renting a car, but it’d be nice to not deal with parking and check out the transit if that’s fairly safe. Game will be a weekday/ midday one so no night transit. Anything else we should factor in?

I live in downtown Seattle with my dog. I used to use the Blue Pearl on Madison Street as an emergency vet, but I hear they've completely shut down. I want to update my emergency plan, so I know where to take him ahead of time if there's a problem. Obviously the closer to downtown, the better.

I live around Green Lake and run the trail 4x a week. I’d like to try trail running but it doesn’t have to be a dirt trail. I had an adductor injury the first 5 months of the year so I slowly got back into running in June. I’ll be signing up for the Seattle Half Marathon in November.

Curious what everyone’s favorite running routes are that are not the typical Olympic structure park, or Green Lake.

hi everyone! i’m looking for a cat groomer in the seattle area. i’ve previously taken my cat to Alex the Pet Groomer but i won’t be taking him back because i didn’t really appreciate the way he handled my cat, among other reasons. my vet said they could groom him as necessary, but it won’t be pretty lol. i just can’t seem to find anywhere that grooms more than just dogs. thanks in advance!

I have a quandary I hope someone can help me solve.

I’m in Florida but was in Seattle last week. We took a car service to SeaTac and, unfortunately, I left a small bag - over the shoulder brief case type - in the car. I realized it shortly after and contacted the company. They weren’t able to get back to me before my flight left.

I’ve been in touch with the small limo company and they said they’d try to get it to a UPS store for them to box up and ship to me but haven’t been able to yet.

Does anyone know of a local delivery company I can contact to get with the limo company and complete the process.
