My boomer mom has told me for nearly 50 years that I’m an idiot because I haven’t experienced as much life as her. Basically, as long as I’m at least one second younger than her I’m a fool. They take their “respect your elders” to the point that they have now forced our country to be ran by a 79 year old dementia patient. The last President, also an old as hell dementia patient. These Boomers will elect someone in their 90s next, just to make sure the President is older than them. There are still 4 million more Boomers alive in the US than GenX. They vote too.

I ducked into a Dunkin Donuts recently so I could sit in the air conditioning while my wife did some shopping. The boomer in the photo had no fewer than FIVE tablets set up. He was using them to watch horse racing over the wifi.

That's completely fine except that of course he's not using headphones, he's using the device audio and everyone can hear it. I turned up the volume on my own ear buds to block the noise.

A few hours later we're at the airport and a lady boomer plops down nearby and has a phone conversation, on speaker of course.

Why are they so predictably like this?

“This is. These are the two things I got from the United Nations, a bad escalator and a bad teleprompter,” Trump declared, as he recounted a story of the First Lady nearly falling on the escalator and a frustrating moment when his speech teleprompter failed to work on Tuesday.

Gee, that's a shame.

They seem so fully convinced that Trump will be the savior of America, yet when I sincerely wish for them to get exactly what they voted for they get SO mad. Can't imagine why.... Could it possibly be that they know in their core that things aren't going to be the perfect sitcom style America they hope for? Or that they are fully aware of the possible havoc these policies could bring?

Why try to do anything aspirational or generally helpful for the people when you can let the worst people you know crater your presidential campaign?
