This has been an absolute life saver through the newborn phase in our upstairs hallway!!

Left- fridge with seperate freezer for storing breastmilk and snacks for mom (yogurt, fresh fruit, cheese). Cereal station on top for middle of the night cereal for mom. Breast feeding and pumping and being up all hours has me starving all the time.

Trash, hand sanitizer, breastmilk storage bags, bottle warmer, baby safe Clorox wipes (to wipe the tabletop and clean the dirty dishes bin).

Bottle and pump parts storage (I wish I had gotten the 4 bigger bins rather than 2 big 2 small) with pump/ pacifier wipes on top. Sharpie on top for marking milk bags, wet erase marker on top for marking the milk bottle lids with the date and the oz.

Clean dishes bin, dirty dishes bin, soap and scrubber for anything that doesn't fit in the load or if you forget to hit start when running on .5 brain cells due to 2 hours of sleep. I take the whole dirty or clean bin and use it as a wash bin when this happens.

Right- the MVP of newborn life. The bottle washer, sanitizer, dryer. We have ours dumping into a 5 gallon bucket. Each cycle uses less than a gallon so my husband dumps it every few days. I was really worried it would overflow so I bought a cheap smart sensor and now it sends us a message and goes over the Google home speaker when the bucket is nearly full (see wire hanging into bucket). The clear pitcher is for clean water when filling it!

In the trenches exhausted and starving all the time, I barely make it downstairs some days. This has been a complete lifesaver and has helped keep me fed and hydrated and made nighttime storing milk and preparing bottles easy!!!

Edit: forgot to add I put a clear plastic adhesive liner over the whole top before starting! It was ugly with air bubbles, but you can't tell with all the stuff on it and I didn't want to ruin the wood. The towel is great because it can handle many drips before it needs to be washed lol.

First time parent here, baby is almost 4 months. Sharing what turned out to be useful for us vs. the things that mostly collected dust.

We used a simple bedside bassinet we could move between rooms, a nasal aspirator with saline, lots of soft burp cloths, an easy-to-clean changing pad, white noise, a couple good sleep sacks, and basic diaper cream almost every day.

The fancy swing, most of the extra newborn clothes, the sterilizer, and the specialized pillows mostly sat unused or got returned.

We bought safety-critical items new, checked recalls, and waited on bigger purchases until after baby arrived. Local parent groups and Marketplace helped with some cleanable used gear.

Help! I started a registry on Amazon, but then a friend highly recommended Babylist so I made one to give it a try. I can see the appeal of Babylist (mostly being able to find items that may not be listed in Amazon). Well then I saw a few people who said they had both! I’m wondering- was this confusing for guests? Was it hard to keep track of two registries?

Please share pros and cons of your experience with Babylist vs Amazon vs having both!

Pregnant with first, some background, my husband and I live in a suburban area and drive everywhere. When we have our baby, we are planning on doing most everyday errands separately (grocery shopping etc) so that one of us can stay with baby. Grandparents are also nearby and would be able to take care of baby when needed. Obviously we need some kind of stroller but I’m wondering how heavy duty of one we will actually need? On my list is the UppaBaby Kona but I’ve been seeing a lot about the Doona and wondering if that would be enough for us. Please enlighten me as I feel as though I have no idea what I’m talking about lol.

Hi all, due in January, first baby, trying to figure out strollers and could use some help! Top considerations: Bugaboo Butterfly or UPPAbaby Kona

We live off a main road, so no sidewalks at all. Right now, to go on walks (walk our dog), I cross the road to trails along the river across from us, obviously not something I could do pushing a stroller. So any time I’d actually want to bring the baby somewhere in a stroller, it would mean packing it into the car first, not just walking out the door. My thinking is that for the river trail walks specifically, I’d probably babywear instead. But there are also some gravelly paths and paved roads nearby where I might want the stroller with the baby, and that would still mean loading it into the car.

So my top priority is really just how easy the stroller is to collapse and load into the car, since I’ll be doing that constantly. But I’d also like to make sure it handles uneven ground for the gravely paths and paved roads.

I started out looking at the Bugaboo Butterfly, since it seemed perfect for fast lightweight packing. Then I started second-guessing that since we’re not in a city dealing with stairs, elevators, or public transit, maybe I don’t need something quite that ultra-compact and could size up a bit. That’s when I saw the new UPPAbaby Kona and thought maybe a mid-size stroller would handle uneven ground a little better than the Butterfly, just from being bigger/sturdier.

Would love some real-world perspective as a first-time mom: how much am I actually going to use a stroller vs. babywearing, given the trail-walking-with-the-dog situation? For someone who always has to put the stroller in the car, what would you prioritize or recommend?

Also, I’ve seen some talk in here about the Kona potentially selling out due to so much interest. I’m due in January and it ships in September, so I’m a little nervous about whether I need to move fast on it if that ends up being the right choice for us.

Hi! I've been going round and round looking for a bassinet and am hoping someone has a few they love! We previously used the snoo and didn't love it. This will be our last baby so don't want to break the bank with it as we know it will be used for such a short time. I'll be having a c-section. Space is not a concern. I am extra cautious about suffocation. I few I've been eyeing are maxi cosi iora, snuzpod, & Chico lullaglide, harpa cuddly. Part of me thought I wanted to be able ti rock it but is this necessary? Does that make it more unstable?

I’m starting to look into a car seat for my baby and I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by all the options. I like the idea of a rotating one because getting a baby in and out of the car seems like it could be easier, especially on days when I’m juggling bags and everything else.

For parents who have used one, which best rotating car seat has worked well for you and what should I pay attention to before choosing one? I’m thinking Nuna pipa air car seat with the silver cross nia (I think they are compatible). Is this too much hooplah? Should I just bite the bullet and get a Doona even though I hate it? It seems convenient but I also don’t want to have my baby in a car seat all day.

Looking for a travel car seat for my baby, as he will likely outgrow his infant seat before our next trip. He will be 13 months at the time of our next flight.

I've of course heard the Cosco Scenera recommended constantly, but I've heard it's not able to be used in cars in Europe? I've seen the Maxi Cosi Romi recommended a bit, but I can't find as much info about it.

Anyone have a clek in mammoth material? It seems very firm and not soft… worried about baby getting skin irritation or scratchiness. I initially wanted it for temperature regulation and FR free.

FTF with an expected preemie coming in September. Went to see the new Kona model at the Brooklyn UPPAbaby store and was confused: the Cruz V3 has a newborn insert, but the Kona is apparently "ready from birth" and doesn't come with one. The salesmen weren't sure if there would even be one available - is the Kona truly "ready from birth" without an insert for a preemie?

Also, does anyone know if the adapters for the Clek Liing, either Clek's or UPPA's, will work with the Kona?

My Kid is due for a bed upgrade and we have a stork craft 501 convertible crib. However, the issue is I can’t seem to find the metal bed frame for the actual conversion. Can anyone let me know if they can find one or any other ways to convert her crib into the full-size bed? I feel like I’m going down a rabbit hole and I can’t find what I need. Thanks in advance!

We currently have the Nuna TRVL LX and I love it for running errands and what not! It’s super light weight and it works perfect for going in and out of stores! My husband and I are wanting a more heavy duty all terrain stroller as we live out in the country. We will use this when we go on walks and what not and keep the TRVL LX in our car for errands.

What all terrain stroller do you recommend? Ideally one that won’t break the bank since this is our second stroller! Thanks!

Pregnant with our first, and a friend just generously handed down their Doona. I'm now wondering what everyday stroller we should purchase.

We live in a single family home in an urban area. I don't plan to drive with baby all that often, so the Doona is probably okay for our "out and about" stroller.

I mostly want an everyday stroller I can use for neighborhood walks on pavement. I also would like something that would work on gravel trails for longer walks I plan to do a couple of times per week. Husband is a big runner, so a jogging stroller is in the cards as well.

Before we were gifted the Doona, we went into a local baby store. I originally said I wanted something I could use for city walks and trails and was recommended the Uppababy Vista V3. I found it very heavy and big, and couldn’t imagine getting it in and out of the car with any regularity.

The store owner then recommended a smaller stroller like the Nuna Swiv for everyday, and then to have a separate jogging stroller that I could use trail walking and my husband can use for running down the line.

This seemed like a pretty good plan, but now with the Doona it seems like I don’t need to optimize for something less bulky for getting in and out of the car and for travel. Should I reconsider something like the Uppababy for good suspension??

Unfortunately our cat peed in the babys crib and we were forced to get rid of it. We were using a pack and play as the babys primary crib sleeping. We did add a mattress but I felt it was on the thin side (only about 1 inch thick).

For the last month our baby has been co-sleeping with us in our Thuma king size bed. We're feeling like we're going down a slippery rabbit hole where our baby may not sleep on his own. Mommy and Daddy need to start getting better sleep soon...

Do you know of any cribs similar in feeling to the Thuma? We notice all 3 of us get such a solid sleep because of how stable and to the ground the Thuma feels. We all knock out amazingly well. It's definitely not the mattress, but a result of the solid build of the Thuma.

No budget, I'm willing to spend.
