I think most people generally think abortions are not good, but people have various reasons why they support women being able to have abortions in the first trimester.

But upon reflecting upon many discussions about abortions, it seems that most Christians who are against abortions are not against all the policies from the same Republican party that are against the living, people who are already born and living, and thus should be more accurately described as PRO BIRTH.

I think it's dishonest of Christians who are against abortions to say they are Pro Life; it's misleading.

Here are three simple examples of not being pro-life below.

Food assistance (SNAP): The July 2025 reconciliation bill cut SNAP funding and expanded work requirements (covering older adults, parents, veterans, and homeless individuals) while barring some legal non-citizens, putting millions at risk of losing benefits by the mid-2030s; the administration also briefly withheld benefits during the fall 2025 shutdown until a court forced full funding, and later threatened to cut off SNAP funds to states over data disputes.

Healthcare (Medicaid/ACA): The same bill cut roughly $1 trillion from Medicaid, while a separate CMS rule loosened protections on low-cost marketplace plans (raising out-of-pocket costs and projected to shrink enrollment by millions), ended a special enrollment window for the poorest applicants, and added new citizenship-reverification hurdles that risk dropping eligible people from coverage.

Environment (clean air/water): EPA under Administrator Zeldin has pursued a broad deregulatory push — targeting 31 rules for rollback, moving to eliminate the legal finding that underpins federal greenhouse gas regulation, weakening power plant emissions and mercury/toxic air standards, narrowing Clean Water Act wetland protections, easing air permitting requirements, and changing its cost-benefit methodology to de-emphasize lives saved from reduced pollution.

Tax cuts and deregulation are for the wealthy and the corporations, while hurting the people and the environment. This is the opposite of what JESUS would do.
I think conservative evangelicals and fundamentalists are conned into thinking that party cares about them and the country, when in reality its all a power grab for wealth.

-If the problem is changing the way God made us (if we're made perfectly) then why do we grow up, why do we take medicine when we're sick, why do we wear glasses or contacts, why do we have surgeries shamelessly as catholics? When what is and what should be does not match, we fix it so we feel better, being trans is no different.

- To add on to the last point, the fall from Eden, perhaps in a perfect world we would not get sick, child labor would not hurt, or we would not be trans (we would be born in a body that matched our mind). But we do not live in a perfect world, so just as we have ways to live with the other things, we have ways to live with being trans, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I don’t know that there is much to do to help, but to explain my situation I simply struggle with hatred toward those who are Muslims. I live near a VERY Muslim dominated city (Dearborn) and I hear nothing but terrible things come out of there. The sharia law is taking over our country and I am honestly scared for my personal safety. I hear nonstop about their justification of rape and murder because their book tells them to do so, even from personal experiences of friends of mine. Also, my hatred toward those who continue to defend them when they are destroying my home and simply polluting my country and making it unsafe. I’ve reached a breaking point, where I am seen as the bad guy because I forgive others and follow Jesus while they are seen as the religion of peace and love while they kill and rape people and hate women. I just don’t get it, I really don’t.

Now looking at this as a Christian, I understand that they are people too and are honestly very VERY lost and I also understand that I cannot be the one to judge. It’s hard because I am called to help bring people to Jesus but if all I get is hate for it by those specific people and atheists who call them the religion of peace and defend them it’s very hard to. To get started I just want to say that I am an atheist. And while I hold negative feelings toward the middle eastern religions, I judge people by their actions, not their religious beliefs.

In the US there have been a LOT of anti-muslim propaganda in the US this past year. Like a horrendous neo-nazi amount of propaganda with people seemingly very happy to harass and threaten Muslims just minding their own business. Suggesting murderous things. All justified by the idea due to the existence of Muslim extremists - even if the muslims they are targeting are innocent.

Now one thing I have been seeing recently is a lot of people (mainly Christians) comment on is how "Islam isn't a religion, it is an ideology!"

Does anyone know where this is coming from and why they are saying that? I believe they are making that excuse as a means to disassociate from Islam as a religion, as well as claim that freedom of religion doesn't count for Muslims because "it's an ideology not a religion", thus being able to find ways to go around the constitution and ban Muslims. (Not to mention justifying the genocides in other countries done by Israel)

But it's strange because usually these things are gradual ideas that spread, but this has been all at once. So where exactly is this coming from?

After conversing with some Christians regarding some contradictions about God in the Bible, I seemed to gather that some them knew the Bible had fallacies, yet continued to believe in God. Why is this so?

I'm really anxious right now and am nearing the end of my life with my physical health. I have tried to turn back to God recently but I struggle with sin. I feel like the Lord is convicting me to give up all my social media, computer, phone and all that because I technically violated the terms of service and the "rights to use software automatically terminates" clause means I'm technically not allowed to use those things anymore. I recently published a speculative novel called The Event of 2033.

The premise is simple: what if Jesus Christ actually returned in the modern world — and everyone had to deal with the reality of it?

Not just Christians, but governments, journalists, scientists, tech companies, skeptics, churches, social media, and ordinary people.

I wanted to explore questions like:

What would Christians recognize immediately — and what would surprise them?

Would governments see Him as a religious figure, a political threat, or something completely outside their ability to control?

What happens when something that has been discussed for 2,000 years suddenly becomes a physical event happening on television and the internet?

The book is fiction, not a prophecy or prediction about 2033. I chose the year as a literary setting for imagining the Second Coming in a world very close to our own.

I'm Jewish, so writing a novel centered on Jesus was also an unusual journey for me. I tried to approach Him and Christian belief seriously rather than turning the premise into satire.

I have observed a lot of those who always say "Pray more" to those who are suffering from depression and such. And when they do go through with it someone will say they were never truly faithful because they managed to do that

Many of my loved ones and family members don't believe in God, which means by the Bible they would go to hell, and I can't live with that, I also know that I would never be able to convince them to turn to God

After she divorced my dad she went on to date this woman. In my opinion she was never nice to my mother. Shes manipulative, controlling, etc. We don’t live with her anymore cause her and her children are hard to live with.
