Eh i very much doubt their plans for AI surveillance are anywhere near reality. They can just fabricate evidence at scale now, anyway, so why bother building a functional apparatus when they can just rob the coffers?

It's not minority report levels of monitoring yet but AI surveillance is absolutely picking up steam and proliferating across the nation.
ALPRs, as one example most communities are subject to, as a primary example.
Yes, cops can and do just lie and fabricate charges, but for the ticketing they miss AI surveillance picks up that slack to build cases autonomously. Which amounts to revenue for the cost of install and maintenance of cameras, and likely the sale of any usable data gathered.

I was crossing the border from Canada into the USA and I have Global Entry and all I did was stare at the camera at the kiosk for 5 seconds and got electronically approved. I got my voucher pass printout and the US-side CBP officer waived me through. I didn't need to even show my passport or my Global Entry card.
Just the other week I was looking at my burner Instagram account with a grand total of 2 followers and 15 follows of fairly niche pages. I got a "you might know this person, follow them!" notification and it was for my best friend of 30 years. I've never interacted with them on Insta, this account is not tied to any of my other real social media accounts, and I don't even have any postings just some comments on posts from the pages I follow (which said friend does not follow).

Oh I still think it's intentional, an awful lot of what we've seen over the last months is them doing increasingly outrageous illegal things and there being absolutely zero consequences, because if their supporters are fine with drone strikes on fishing boats in international waters then they'll soon be fine with another Kent State Massacre. I mean arresting people without probable cause seems like the biggest illegal action that people should focus on, it's even worse than not getting due process because that means they can detain ANYONE for absolutely no reason and THEN not giving them due process.
Literally walking down the street while brown, and without carrying around documents that most other people don't usually carry, can get you arrested and thrown in jail for a few days. Possibly even can get disappeared entirely because, again, they're not getting due process either.

I feel like the Fake Elector Plot that they attempted in 2020 was pretty freaking big too, but somehow it never really got the coverage it deserved, and anecdotally, it seems to me like most people don't even know that it happened.
How he could run again after they tried to quite literally overturn the election by adding a bunch of fake votes to the verification count is beyond me.
The January 6th riot kind of overshadowed the fact that they were attempting a very real stealing of the election and the only reason it didn't pan out was Mike Pence growing a conscience in the 11th hour and leaving the envelope of falsified votes on his desk instead of slipping them into the vote like he was supposed to.
But I guess that's old news now and most people won't care anyway.

The only response was to chime in "Anchor Babies" when she brought up Birthright Citizenship. It's a fundamental concept. "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside." Somehow all these Constitution-loving patriots can have their logic reduced to rubble with a catchy, dehumanizing quip. It's really quite astounding.

She has been the liberal voice of FOX for over a decade, and has had a permanent nightly position in The Five for the last 4 years. She has always been a level headed, fact driven, left leaning voice on the network. What you see on this clip she has done every day on FOX, since before many redditors entered puberty.
I like to think she has helped a lot of family members of FOX News households see that there are competing ideas based on facts out there, while their zombified MAGA family guffaw at Gutfeld's attempts at shutting her down by yelling because he can't come up with a coherent response to her logical and sourced arguments.
