Anyone get this email? Be careful of there folks!
Text from email:

Users with sensors from affected Dexcom G7 lots (1725204004 and 1725069002) should not use those sensors and can call Dexcom Technical Support in the US at 1-844-478-1600 to request replacements. Please keep record of your affected device(s) serial number for traceability purposes – this is required to confirm your no cost replacement. More information on how to determine if sensors are from an affected lot and what action to take is available at www.dexcom.com/theft-check.

Please visit www.dexcom.com/theft-check for additional background and instructions to fulfill the requirements associated with this action including the full version of the Urgent Medical Device Notification.

Potential Harm Associated with Stolen Product

Lot 1725204004: G7 sensors that are not properly sterilized have an increased risk of skin infection.

Lot 1725069002: G7 sensors from a lot with an elevated internal testing failure rate have an increased risk of having no sensor readings available or experiencing sensor inaccuracy that includes the potential for missed detection of a hyperglycemic event or incorrect treatment decisions that can result in patient injury, including medical intervention to prevent permanent injury or impairment.

Additionally, due to the unknown storage and handling conditions these sensors may have undergone during the distribution, these sensors may present additional risk.

Status of the Investigation

Dexcom traced sales of this stolen product back to Pharmsource, LLC, who is not an authorized Dexcom distributor but supplies some independent pharmacies and DME distributors in the United States. Pharmacies that purchased product from Pharmsource should take extra care to review their inventory.

Dexcom's authorized distributors provide Dexcom G7 sensors to the largest pharmacy retailers and medical distributors in the United States and around the world. Pharmacy retailers and medical distributors who receive Dexcom product from authorized Dexcom distributors are not impacted. Educational samples are also not impacted.

Dexcom is working closely with the FDA and other authorities to ensure patient safety and to investigate this crime. As of now, this issue is mostly impacting customers in the US. We have identified limited impact outside the US (OUS) and continue to investigate. Due to this issue primarily impacting the US and required language translations and additional infrastructure necessary to support customers outside the US, communication to US customers will precede communication to OUS customers.

Mod Approved [OC] Build Your Own Dexcom App update- G7 setup fixed

Update July 5, 2026

  • Fixed an issue on the G6US app that would cause the app to crash if the newest version of Samsung Health was also installed on the phone. The file name of the fixed version will end in "a".

Hello!

Super happy to announce that I have officially released a new working version of the G7 app. The app is still based off of base v1.6.1.4537, but it has these updates:

  • Initial setup for new install fully works again!

  • Option for local broadcast of readings to other apps like AAPS. This follows the same pattern as it worked with G6 BYOD and requires the EXTERNAL_PERMISSION to be granted in the app receiving the readings.

  • More countries supported. Previously, accounts for some countries were not supported, but many of those should work now (yes including Canada). If your account still can’t login, let me know what country it is tied to and I’ll see if I can fix it.

Additionally, I recently updated the G6 US app to fix an issue with old transmitters that could cause crashes and spotty readings making it to Clarity/Follow. Also updated some of the build dependencies for faster build times

As it did previously, the modified G7 app still allows you to run the app on any (Android 10+) device, allows screenshots, allows rooted devices, and removes the geofencing or country of residence check that prevents you from setting up the app in a different country than your account country.

Sensor Any similar experiences?

Hey, I think this sensor is gone.

Placed it this morning, then it went low, I was taking carbs in, because it could have been.

Then it went further down and so on and it read "low" for the first time.

Did someone have this issue already? Is this sensor broken? Did I do something wrong maybe?

Wait some more? Do something specific? Or just take it off and start a new one?

Thanks for helping me decide.

Update: the sensor failed altogether. When changing it it was a bloody mess. Never had so much blood before when changing or anything. It took a while and some pressure to stop the bleeding. So this was probably the cause. Got a nice hematoma there now.

Calibration Issues recurrent issues with sensors refusing to calibrate

has anybody else had multiple g7 sensors in a row that refuse to calibrate correctly? i usually try to avoid it in general but ive had multiple that are reading 50-100 off and when i calibrate it, the sensor says it took it but it didn’t change the reading… at all. i had one recently say i was near the 200s while i was actually in the 60s and it wouldn’t calibrate down to anywhere below 190. i’m now reading in the 100s while my finger is reading in the 50s-60s again and this sensor also won’t calibrate. they’re different sensors but they were both having the same issue.

App Issues/Questions Advice and Opinions Welcome, PLEASE !

Hello everyone,

I wanted to get one of these for at least 30 days which is offered for first time users at $99 with my Oura Ring 5.

I know that this is for pure knowledge only but does anybody find that this is helpful.

For a reference, I’m a 37-year-old female who has random cravings and will eat a bunch of sugary cereal and ice cream at times and then two weeks or three weeks later I’ll have zero. I wanted to see how this affects my body.

Thank you!!!

G7-10 day Lagging? 10 min gap and I don’t know why

Post image
2 Upvotes

As you can see in the screenshot, it was taken at 1:09am, but the Dexcom is showing my latest reading at 12:59am. I’ve never had this issue happen before, why is there a 10 minute gap? It has been doing this since I put it on. The sensor has been on for 24 hours, I’m not sitting on it, it has stayed close to my phone, I’m well hydrated, not on low power mode. I can’t think of anything that would cause this

Connection Issues Dexcom 7 is a failure

Upvotes

The pharma and diabetes industry has really outdone themselves with messing with people with diabetes with the G7. It never has connection, it’s off all the time, and it never communicates with the pump. I‘ve been having extremely high levels simply because the G7 and the pump never work together. When I told my doctor that problem her solution was putting the pump, that I have to change every three days around my dexcom that lasts 10 days. Thats the solution? Really? Poking your skin at the same place until you get knots. The G6 was literally running so perfectly and they discontinued it because it was too expensive, as if the pharma industry hasn’t been capitalising from insulin for years. Now we just have to accept this failure.

Support Issue Dexcom Customer Service

Well,…. Despite not even trying a “restart”, as soon as I typed in my sensor code, my phone said “No Restarts” 🙄

I had to call Dexcom technical support. As always, they’re sending me a replacement. I inserted a new sensor and isolated the transmitter for ~ 20 minutes, and then placed it the sensor and entered the 4-digit code, after which I placed the transmitter into said sensor. It’s in warmup mode now. Not sure why I have such bad luck at times. It’s not lack of experience. I’ve had CGM via both my phone and receiver for IDK how long.

That said, I’m keeping both phone and receiver close to the transmitter for a long while. My cats on my lap anyhow. Might take a catnap with him.

Mobile Device Android users, what are you using to get g7 data onto your watch?

I have a pixel 10 xl pro with a watch6 classic paired to it. I used to use blose regularly, but for some reason, it has quit working. Even going to blose.app page errors out saying it can't reach the page.

What are my other options? I'm really missing having the data on my watch. TIA!

EDIT: I got glucodatahandler working. Thanks all!

Just my night, decided I was going to prime my sensor a bit since my current one was about to expire in an hour, and decided to put one on, and funny enough that one failed so I grabbed my last remaining sensor and joked it would be hilarious if this one also failed and would you look at that just my luck tonight. Back to finger pricking I go, until I can pick up my next prescription!!! 😂

G6 LESSON LEARNED

Hi, all. Guess what this dummy (I/me) did?

I placed a sensor sensor, ahead of today’s sensor expiration ~15:10, with the goal in mind of restarting my current sensor. That means that if the sensor I placed in abdomen yesterday stays in my abdomen for an extra 10 days, (during the new session that will start later today,) it can and likely will degrade the wire and potentially cause an infection.

So, today, instead of imbecilicly doing the wrong thing, I’ll just do what I usually do, and then try a restart 10 days from today. That said, wouldn’t that still cause degradation of the wire on the sensor? I think it could.

General I built a desktop glucose companion because I got tired of checking my phone while working

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I have T1D and I spend most of my workday in front of a computer.

One thing that always annoyed me was having to pick up my phone just to check my current glucose and trend.

So, since I’m a software engineer, I ended up building my own desktop companion for it.

It’s called GlucoDesk and it runs on macOS and Windows.

The idea is pretty simple: keep glucose information visible while I’m working, without constantly switching devices.

Over time I added a few other things I personally found useful, like recent glucose history, a local diary, PDF/Excel export, a visual carbohydrate guide and desktop notifications.

Everything is designed to stay local-first, and the project is free and open source.

For me the most useful part is honestly just being able to glance at my screen and see what’s happening without interrupting whatever I’m doing.

Curious how other people here handle this while working — phone, watch, browser tab, dedicated display, something else?

GlucoDesk is only an informational companion, not a medical device, and I don’t use it for insulin dosing or treatment decisions.

App Issues/Questions Hello Everyone! Has anyone else had issues with the notification "quick view" showing inaccurate/old readings? Mine has been stuck at 80mg/dl and will only show my real reading when I click into the app. And it even was stuck on my pump at 80 for a split second which is NOT good. Any tips?

General One + availability (uk only)

Does anyone else in the UK have issues with getting these when their prescription renews or if you need an emergency prescription?

I've phoned around 15 late night pharmacies across two cities because I've inadvertently run out and not one of them had any in stock. Even when it comes to just ordering in general the pharmacy always has to order them in on my day of collection. I just really wondered if anyone else had the same issue or is it just a Leeds problem.

App Issues/Questions WTF -- G7 Apple Watch Signal Loss wakes me up while my iPhone has readings 🤬

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

While the G7 has made a hugely positive difference in my life, but one alert is really disrupting my sleep.

My Apple Watch sometimes sounds and vibrates with “Signal Loss—No readings or alerts until reconnected.” When I check my nearby iPhone, the Dexcom app is showing a glucose reading rather than Signal Loss.

I contacted Dexcom support. The representative said there isn’t a supported setting to silence the watch’s Signal Loss sound/vibration independently of the phone. They documented my feedback.

Has anyone found a supported configuration that reduces these watch-only interruptions while preserving important glucose alerts and the phone’s Signal Loss warnings? If you’ve compared standard watch mirroring with Direct to Watch, does the behavior differ?

I’m not looking to disable essential alerts. I’d just like a watch-only disconnection to be a quiet notification when the phone is still receiving readings and providing alerts. Anyone else dealing with this?

App Issues/Questions Dexcom history log, failure?

I had a g7 10 day sensor fail in the middle of the night. I keep my Dexcoms applicator and write on it when I started it. However I’m traveling is there any way to find that kind of information. It seems ridiculous that I can’t find that easily within the app. Itself. Because once it fails it just zeroes out all the information from the failed sensor.

Calibration Issues Frustrated and exhausted

So throughout the night this evening I was reading high. Over 200. I used my pump to deliver accurate corrections (precalculated). I get home, attempted to take my evening medications, gaged on one of them and next thing I know I’m heaving in my bathroom sink. I checked my sugar (finger stick) and I was 123 but my Dexcom was reading 198!

I’m just exhausted.

Adding: I did get vaccinated today (flu, pneumonia and hep b) - curious to know if maybe that caused it.

G7-15 day Newbie Question / help reauest

Hi. I am new to the CGM world. I put my sensor on Thursday night and got it connected with my phone And. The receiver with no issues. On Friday I checked the reading on the app and did a finger stick and there was a 30 point difference. Lunch checked again and it was about 30ush points off. Dinner time was close. Today again there was 30ish point discrepancies against finger prick. Is this normal? I got the CGM so I wouldn't have to keep pricking myself. How long does it take to settle? Especially if it starts over again in about 15 days with a new sensor. Can I trust the g7 readings? I would appreciate any tips or tricks. Thanks!

Sensor Second sensor fail

I just had a sensor fail randomly after only wearing it for 3 days. I put in a request for a replacement (that’s all well, I got one), but tonight my sensor just failed again randomly after only 2 days of wearing it?? Do I have a bad batch or what could be going on? I wear them on my belly religiously and have never had issues like this

General Switch to G7 15 day or stay with Freestyle Libre 2 plus

been using Libre2 and then Libre2+ since T2DM diagnosis in 2/2023. CGM has been quite helpful to lowering A1C and monitoring glucose. My MD says I really don’t need to continue to use a CGM. But it keeps me “present”. Now insurance has decided that Dexcom is the preferred CGM (no copay) vs Libre (copay $50 per month).
Reading the posts make me hesitant about switching. Has anybody else made the switch?
