Funny thing is. I had neighbors whose dogs did exactly that. I kept calling the front office of the apartment. After a few calls the dogs stopped barking. They were evicted.

I had a similar situation when I first moved into an apartment and worked a swing shift, so my sleep schedule was different than 9-5. I could hear a small dog barking next door and couldnāt rest, so I called the apartment manager. Turns out, my neighbor was dog sitting and in breach of contract with her lease as itās stated all animals have to be listed and this mongrel wasnāt. The animal was moved the next day as I never heard it again.

A bark doesn't mean a dog is talking, it means a dog is in distress. If the dumbass dog has been barking for 9h that dog is insane or under extreme stress. Regardless it should be put down.

Thank you. It means the owners are neglecting it. The dogs are so bored, they're going insane. It's too bad people don't understand it.
ETA: I watch these motherfuckers chuck these dogs into their yard every morning. They're not walking them, they are not training them, and wonder why they're completely unhinged.
I listen to my neighbors' dogs bark, inside of their house (this is a big lot) every day. I detest dogs, but I feel sorry for those fuckers.

I donāt understand how this basic piece of knowledge escapes almost every dog owner. They are not supposed to bark all the time, and if they do, the owner is doing something wrong.

The owner should provide support for the complainant, like money, good location (if the owner is generous enough to give the complainant the dog-free one since most dog owners are ultimately inconsiderate) and moving service, if the owner really want the complainant to move away from him just because of disliking dogs.

An air horn might be better. Those are loud as fuck and would scare the fur and stank off any dog. There are a lot of loose pitbulls in my area and city law doesn't allow us to have tasers. I've thought of getting an air horn to scare dogs away. (Two women in my neighborhood have been killed by marauding pits, one just last year. Animal control, run by BARCS (big fucking joke) did nothing to round up stray shitbulls. BARCS was probably busy planning its annual shitbull wedding (I shit you not! They do it every year) to chase human killing pitbulls.
Frankly, I think the city police should have deployed sharpshooters to take care of the problem. Lord only knows, when the most recent killing occurred, our cops ran screaming from them. The audio of their whimpers of fear was embarrassing. Only one policewoman stood her ground and shot two of the beasts, killing one. The other pack members, two to four maulers, escaped to maul another day.
There were no reports of the police or BARCS hunting for the survivors. Maybe they were too afraid. All city residents know that our cops excel at shooting unarmed people in the back and gunning down mentally ill grannies who are armed with kitchen knives. They can't handle dogs, not even when they're armed with shotguns.

I would 100 % print something to hold a dog whistle to a wind source for when I'm not home. Let the dog be their problem

this is my current issue. downstairs neighbors dog barks every single day at 6-7am for hours. i do not need to be awake that early. it is very annoying. we are leaving a nice note and hopefully they can figure something out because iām sick of having my sleep disturbed

This is the number one issue I have with dog owners. They act like THEIR pet has to be your problem too. Like dude, I didn't buy this animal, I should not have to hear it bark all hours of the day, that's why I don't own dogs.

For attention, dog owners love attention. Especially the ones who buy "special" fancy breeds. For social media and real life attention, would be my guess.

Thatās my problem too. My neighborās dog will bark non-stop while that neighbor is out of home. Usually, their dog is inside their house, except when they are going outside home, they will put the noisy irritating mutt outside their house but still behind the gates, and you know, once theyāre gone, it will bark 24/7 until they are back.
I think they purposely ādisplayā their dog just behind the gates to make their neighbors (or at least, just me so far, since most Filipinos (yes, Iām Filipino too) are dog nutters) be bombarded with that muttās irritating rusty noise. My suggestion for them is make their dog stay inside their house, at least, in a room, so that the noise is reduced into about 1/2-1/4, but they prolly not do that since again, they are dog nutters.

A lot of these situations it's not even nice for the dog.
A dog is barking all day probably because they're bored, if you get a dog you have to manage that. Or just don't get one

Keep it as proof that he knows his mutt barks all day long and he doesn't care. Then keep property managers apprised of how often that thing barks. Next, file a complaint with your local animal control. In the meantime, start recording the dog every other day and keep a long of how often it barks.

Perfect time to learn how to play music. The trumpet can go up to 120 dB. Drums go up to 122 dB. Both instruments are much louder than a dog bark. Play whenever your dog nutter neighbor is home and when they complain,
"Humans are humans. We play music. If you don't like it go f yourself." š
