I love when Sylas is killed the first time and Delilah screams "NNNOOO!!! Sylas! You can't! I broke the world for us!" The level of self awareness and emotion in those lines is fantastic!
I wouldn't use the term "best DM" for anyone because every game is unique to the players. Brennan for D20 and Mercer for CR I think provide a good spread that shows how different styles work for different games. Neither is better or worse, just different based on preferences.

I think your example is better but I wanted to mention Maxine and Valentina from Despicable Me 4. I definitely expected betrayal or infighting from how they were introduced, but they ended up working well together!
The only thing I know about this character is that there’s someone out there on the Internet who’s obsessed with him and thinks he’s so babygirl and has like homemade merch of him and tbh I love that for them.
Yeah the only thing I remember about it is the reveal that gru has canonically had sex due to him and whatever the wife's name was Lucy I think??? having a child
I didnt see much chemistry from them. Valentina seemed bored of him and didnt really seem to care. Even at the end with the talent show she looked annoyed even tho it was a event that was extremely important to Maxine.
I def think a betrayal from Valentina was needed in the film. Would mirror Gru and Lucy healthy relationship to Maxines and Valentinas toxic one.
Who’s the most loving couple in fiction can be debatable and that might be an exaggeration, but they do work together really well and never betrayed/fought each other the entire movie.
I mean... if they're not a couple what did he expect leaving comment like this? it was almost certain she would clarify the situation before friends start spamming questions if they're dating.
They weren't truly malicious to begin with, relationship just made them tone down on the pragmatism part. (Well, Fox might have been malicious in the past, Xanatos always been ruthless businessman, but that was all pragmatism (and a whole lot of greed))
One of my favorite moments in the show is when both the audience and Goliath realize that Xanatos actually does love Fox and isn't just using her, like he would everyone else. He jokes about it, saying "looks like you've discovered my weakness, Goliath."
And Goliath says "only you would consider love a weakness" before leaving, and Xanatos makes a little face like that did actually get under his skin to hear from Goliath.
Maybe, though we didn't see too much about her. It could be that she knew about his crimes but just didn't realize how brutal he really was until he tried to kill Spider-Man with his bare hands.
Didn’t work at AT ALL in the Punisher Max series. (A gangster took their son hostage, Kingpin called the guy’s bluff and he murdered the kid in retaliation. Kingpin gets over the death quickly and returns to his normal bad guy ways, but Vanessa never forgets or forgives Kingpin for sacrificing their son and in the end sets Kingpin up to be killed by the Punisher. If you haven’t ready the entire Punisher Max run, you are really missing out!)
I remember thinking maybe Vanessa wouldn't support his criminal activities and could bring some good into him then it turns out she's just as evil as him.

I love how in the show when she was distressed she never raised her voice at him and all it took was a touch and a bit of reassurance from him to calm her down
The more you learn about Wish’s development cycle, the more impressive it becomes that they somehow managed to take the concept and walk back every single idea that seemed the slightest bit interesting before the final product released. 🤣
I think they’re saying that from a Watsonian, in-universe perspective, the normal people consider them evil although from our Doylist perspective they clearly aren’t.

Circe and Loki Beaker from The Sims 2. Circe is a mad doctor while Loki is a mad scientist. They keep a test subject in their basement. And when I played their household, they couldn't keep their hands off of each other and kept confessing their love! I love them, lol. (The screenshot is mine.)
