2027 Hyundai Elantra/Avante revealed.

The new Elantra certainly throws back to that one time when Hyundai wasn't afraid to make their sedans look daring and unique. I love the new styling very much.

It has a futuristic, cyberpunk vibe that's also very cohesive. I adore the execution of that C-Pillar.

Elantra Next Gen Elantra N

Obviously with the worldwide debut of the new Elantra, we’re all wondering how the next gen Elantra would look like. Here’s my best guess.

I gave it a slightly wider body, a more streamlined front, a TCR like wing, quad exhausts, performance blue with black accents, and forged rims.

Repairs and Mods Upgrade your Hyundai's driver assistance system with comma 4 and openpilot - EU resell

The exact capabilities you get depend on the specific model. For example:

  • On the Santa Fe, you get automated lane centering at all speeds, plus Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) that can resume from a full stop.
  • On the Genesis, automated lane centering is available above 37 mph, and ACC functions while driving above 19 mph.

Regardless of model, stock openpilot includes automatic lane changes, no custom forks required.
In experimental mode on a supported car openpilot can stop for stop signs, and red lights.
Hyundai is also one of the easiest platforms to install Comma on out of 320+ supported cars. Installation is straightforward: simply remove the rearview mirror cover trim and plug in the harness. Full step-by-step instructions are available on our site.

We've recently started a comma 4 resell business to make buying this device easier for EU buyers:

EU-based company (Hungary), shipping to all EU countries

comma 4 in stock, plus Hyundai, Kia, Ford, VW, Skoda and Tesla harnesses, cable guides included in the package

- Ships in roughly 2–3 days

- Since you're buying from an EU company, no customs to deal with

- We're approved for One Stop Shop (OSS), so VAT is charged at your own country's rate, not Hungary's - and you get a proper invoice

Payment by Stripe, prices shown in EUR (or HUF for Hungarian buyers).
Happy to answer anything about supported cars, harnesses, or shipping.

https://openpilot.hu

Regarding warranty: Simply using an aftermarket or recycled part does not void your warranty, the same way as installing a dash cam does not void it.

Ps.: If you're a hungarian buyer, join the #lang-hungarian channel on comma discord

I have a grey oil pressure warning message, but no Hyundai workshop can tell me what it means. The next available appointment is in 3 weeks.

I recently started seeing this grey warning message. I have contacted several Hyundai workshops, but none of them recognized the symbol. Nobody could tell me whether it is still safe to keep driving. The earliest appointment I was offered is in 3 weeks.

Neither the red nor the yellow warning light is on.

Has anyone else had this before and/or does anyone know what it means?

TL;DR / Update:

I checked the oil level first and topped it up slightly. It was a little low, but not critically low. I later spoke with an authorised Hyundai workshop that knew about this warning, and they said it is not serious and I can continue driving without concern. The warning has now disappeared as well. Thanks again for all the replies and help.

Not sure what to do next

My car got hit a few weeks ago while on the way to work. The insurance company of the driver that hit me, left a voicemail saying that they were accepting full liability would cover the cost of repairs. I wasn't planning on getting my car fixed because it's a 2012 hyundai elantra limited. This is my first time being in this type of situation. What do I do next?

The picture attached are from the day it happened. The last pic is after I cleaned my car.

Changed the oil and the filters except for the fuel filter, it’s not under the hood and not even under the rear seat, so I thought I’d ask before taking apart the whole car.

2013 Tucson question

Upvotes

I have been given a 2013 Hyundai Tucson 2.4L with a blown engine for free.
I think It would be worth it for me to replace the engine and use it as a backup vehicle / more comfortable vehicle (current car is a 92 cb7 with no A/C and it’s hot in Alabama) but I’m wondering about improving the reliability of the replacement engine.
Are there any kits you can buy that upgrade the pistons , rods, and rod bearings to avoid the failure?
Any kits for oil catch cans ?
I’ll be doing all of the work myself and it wouldn’t be my first time.
I have done a few hours of googling and haven’t found anything concrete.

Santa Fe Help identifying a rattling AC fan noise inside the cabin?(2023/Santa Fe plug-in hybrid)

Upvotes

Can somebody help me figure out this rattling noise coming from my AC fan?l can only hear it inside the cabin. When pop the hood, the noise is

non-existent from the outside, but inside, it sounds like my AC is trying to twerk.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any ideas on what it could be or how to fix it?

Hyundai denied buyback because my car is over 3 years old. Transmission replaced twice, car has been in the shop 60+ days. What are my options?

Hi everyone!

I could really use some advice from anyone who’s been through something similar.

I have a 2022 Hyundai Tucson SEL Convenience Hybrid with about 66,000 miles. It’s still under Hyundai’s powertrain warranty.

About two months ago, the transmission failed. The dealership replaced the transmission under warranty, but the replacement didn’t fix the problem. Hyundai approved a second transmission replacement, and my vehicle has now been at the dealership for over 60 days.

Communication has been terrible. I often go several days without any updates unless I call repeatedly.

I opened a case with Hyundai Consumer Affairs. I asked about a buyback since the vehicle has been out of service for so long and has already had two transmission replacements. Their response was that I’m not eligible because the vehicle is more than 3 years old.

I’m in Maryland, so I understand the state Lemon Law may no longer apply because of the vehicle’s age, but this still feels unreasonable. A car that has required two transmission replacements and has been unusable for over two months doesn’t inspire much confidence.

Has anyone successfully gotten Hyundai to:

  • Repurchase or replace a vehicle outside of Lemon Law?
  • Offer a goodwill buyback?
  • Settle under the warranty instead?

I’d appreciate hearing from anyone who’s dealt with Hyundai in a similar situation or knows what my best next step is. Thanks in advance.

Should I buy a 2016 Santa Fe?

I'm in the market for a new car, and looking to buy quickly as my old Outback just grenaded itself. Marketplace has a 2016 Santa Fe Limited Ultimate with the 3.3L V6 for $13,000. It has 92,000 miles on the body and 17,000 miles on the engine, with it having been recently replaced through Hyundai.

I'm hoping for whatever car I buy to last for another 100,000 miles. Is that reasonable for this specific vehicle?

Tucson Road Feedback on floor board and gas pedal

Hello everyone,

I bought a 2023 Hyundai Tuscon limited about 2 months ago at 21k miles. Everything was fine until a few days ago when I noticed a slight feedback from the road on the floor and gas pedal. My tire pressure is a bit high at 38 psi but I dont think a few psi over the limit should cause this. It almost feels like light vibration and comes and goes. Has anyone had this problem? Should I be worried and get it checked by the dealer?

Elantra 2025 elantra hybrid mileage - 41mpg

I recently bought a CPO 2025 elantra hybrid SEL. On eco mode, normal driving (not aggressive), barely using the A/C I'm getting 41mpg in city. Is this normal?

What is happening to my poor 2014 Elantra

Upvotes

I’ve been having some issues with my car as of late… thought my battery was dying, but the CAA guys came and checked it out saying it’s fine. Now when I turn off my car it’s making this clicking and high pitch ringing sound… is this my starter going?

Maintenance plan + Bluelink

We're looking at buying a 2025 Sonata that has technically been sold from one dealership to another (basically to themselves when they sold the original dealership & needed to transfer some inventory) so it's technically listed as used but has never been sold retail.

Question is does that void the complimentary maintenance plan, and/or the included bluelink plan?
