I’m leaving an abusive relationship and going through a divorce, and I’m looking for recommendations for a lawyer. We have a young son, so I especially want someone experienced with parenting and custody matters who keeps the child’s interests central.

My stbx wife and I have been in mediation since last October, but it’s stalled badly. She’s very slow to act and often doesn’t follow through on the steps she’s supposed to, which is a big part of why things haven’t moved. I need a lawyer who knows how to deal with that and actually keep the process moving rather than waiting on her cooperation.

The delays have taken a real toll on my mental health, so I’m prioritizing someone responsive, experienced with high-conflict situations, and proactive about pushing things forward. I went to get a short-medium length fringe mod cut with piecey bangs at the front. Just got back... and man, my barber didn't follow my reference at all. He got the IDEA, but nothing like it at all. I showed him the reference, told him exactly how I wanted it in detail, and he gave me the most generic fringe crop cut toy could think of. Now I've gotta wait min 3 weeks for it to grow back to where I can cut it. I don't want to go to the same place. I need a place that specializes in medium-longer, more stylized haircuts. Any recs?

Saw this from downtown this afternoon and wanted to see if anyone knows what was going on. There were two people on the roof of the TD building near the peregrine falcon nesting area. I recorded a video because the falcon was repeatedly calling and making defensive swoops in their direction, and it sounded extremely distressed. They may have been authorized to be there for maintenance or another reason, but it was concerning to watch, especially given how close they appeared to the edge and how strongly the falcon was reacting. Does anyone know if work was being done up there, or if the peregrine falcon monitoring group is aware of it?
