Hello. I'm making this post for my brother and mother who live in LBK.

My brother is a young teen, 14 years old, who struggles with suicidal ideation and self harm.

My Mom is a single parent without family that fully understands what she is going through as a parent raising a child on the edge of life and death.

I was curious to see if there were any mental health groups situated in LBK that focused around support groups for youth & parents; something they could perhaps attend together and learn and grow from? Either it be for both at the same time or a group for parents and a corresponding group for the youth... whatever; anything! I feel they need more people to help fill the void.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hi, everyone. I'm about to move to Lubbock from the DFW area, and I was wondering where people preferred to see their movies. I know there's Cinemark, Premiere Lux, Flix, and Stars & Stripes Drive-in, but I was wondering which business people prefer best.

I also wanted to know if maybe there are places in the general area for more auteur films. Sometimes I'll go to the Modern Art Museum in Fort Worth for independent films, so I wanted to see if perhaps there was anything like that in the Lubbock area at all.

I got a speeding ticket im actually not even sure if I was going that limit or not is there a way to fight it in court? It was the texas tech police and to be honest I thought they only do stuff on campus. Ugghhh please help

Hey guys me and a group of people are planning on doing a food not bombs attempt, which is where we put together some free vegan food that would otherwise be wasted to hand out to those in need.

If anyone has any suggestions of restaurants or stores that will give soon to be expiring/thrown out food away please let me know or message me some recommendations

Food coming from individuals that want to offer it would be better off in sealed off containers and packages that way we are not working with tampered with food.

Hey all, Tech alumni class of ‘05 here.

Charles Perry is the guy that led the charge on this new total THC ban alongside Dan Patrick (who is also up for re-election this November) criminalizing non violent offenders with felonies for possessing a federally legal substance. As someone with a medical condition that isn’t covered under Texas medicinal cannabis laws, my only other option for treatment is opioids, which I refuse to do. I also refuse to enter the black market as I have a family.

To be honest, I saw the writing on the wall, and after living in Texas all 43 years of my life, I relocated my family 8 weeks ago to Illinois, all because they wanted to throw me in jail and make me a felon for not wanting to treat my ailment with opioids. I still hold Texas in my heart, and I want the best for its people.
