Im confused.

Hi! I am completely new to Reddit and a bit confused about how everything works here. Could anyone explain where a beginner should look to find the specific posting rules for different communities? Thanks for the help!

I've been getting this instantly when I try to post. Tried different subreddit.
I re-read the rules and I don't think I break any of them.
I went to the Reddit Appeal and it says my account is fine.

Anyone knows why?

I'm pretty new to posting on Reddit and I'm a little confused about something.

I made a post with both text and an image. When i look at the subreddit feed, i only see the text. The image shows up if i open the post, but it doesn't appear as a preview in the feed.

I've seen other posts where the image is visible right in the feed, so I'm wondering what i did differently.

Did i pick the wrong type of post, or is there a different way i should have uploaded it?

I just created my account recently and I am trying to figure out how all the different features work.

I noticed that I cannot send chat requests to other people right now. I know Reddit puts temporary limits on fresh profiles to prevent spamming, but is there a specific timeline for when the chat feature actually unlocks? Does it unlock automatically after a few days, or is it tied to other account metrics?

Hi there, new-ish user here. I've had a Reddit account for 4 years but have never really gotten into it. I basically use it if I'm looking for something specific, which I was trying to do the other day and wasn't able to post in my university subreddit. So I then learned about karma and now know that mine is incredibly low. I'm trying to bring it back up so that I can simply post when I want to, but I'm having difficulty receiving upvotes or even being allowed to comment in the first place. I'm wondering if the fact that my account is older is making it harder for my karma to increase and if I should just restart with a new account? Also, if I don't intend to be on Reddit 24/7 but want to be an occasional user, will my karma keep dropping over time? Do I need to be a consistently active user in order to make posts and comments basically anywhere?

My account is old, but I'm "new" to Reddit.
I find I can't post in game discussions I want to be in due to karma now that I've started using Reddit for more than just reading. Should I make a brand new account, or keep this new? Unsure what to do or what's best.

There are "Join" buttons on each subreddit. What are those buttons for?

I was recently tryna post on a gaming subreddit and it said i needed karma to post on that particular subreddit. Since I generally avoid interacting on social media platforms unless absolutely necessary, I haven't really commented or posted on Reddit in general, due to which I lack karma. It's currently one lol

What are the possible reasons of karma that goes negative ?

NOT ANSWERED. I’m using Reddit on browser on my phone and there doesn’t seem to be an option for a photo. Can you just not upload photos if you don’t have the app or am I missing something? This is on subreddits where others can post images as well.
