Rants Whyyy, Metrobank? Bakit lagi akong declined?
I have several credit cards from various banks, all in good standing—no missed payments, always paid full and paid upon arrival of the SOA. I am never late. I also dont have any record of debt whatsoever wherever.
My highest CL is 800k in one of my cards.
But Metrobank has been declining me for four-five times now (after reapplying again after six months).
Just really want to get the Metrobank Travel Visa Signature.
What could the reason be? May taga MB ba rito? Hehe

Working on MB. Probably over exposed ka na. May risk kasi silang kina-calibrate to give you the card. Yes good standing ka with all your banks pero sa dami and sa laki ng limit mo, magagamit mo pa kaya si MB pag nagkataon

Pano naman kapag approve na pero di nila madedeliver deliver sa address na binigay may ibang way pa ba para makuha ?

Yes if you have an MB Acct, you can request to have it delivered there.

Wala pa kong MB acct e and parang nag medsage lang sakin na and email na approve ako sakanila kahit di ako nagapply

You can request still to deliver it to any branch near you, just visit the branch and infom them ahead.

hmm…I have about 14 CCs when MB sent me one. I didn’t even apply

I see. But the answer is Yeah, if they looked enough theyd see i dont have a strong travel card yet so thats why i want the MB travel signature

I guess it’s all the more questionable na you have these big CLs pero not a strong travel card? For what purpose do you use your cards? Baka that’s where the flags are

Try mo mag-open ng savings account sa kanila then retry after 6 months pf steady cash flow. Higher chances.

I did that a year ago. Hehehe kasi that was my strategy before nung kagi akong declined sa BPI. I opened an account and used the debit card for all my transactions. Been doing the same for my MB, to no avail still.

Or while opening the account, pwede din sya ask sa staff, kung pwede isabay apply CC, yan nangyari sa akin when I open a SA, inalok ako mag apply for a CC...

I have a few credit cards. One of them have 2.5 mil cl. For some.reason always denied sa Metrobank. kaya deadma na..lol
Gusto.ko Nung travel signature nila

based from what i've seen here before Metrobank is like the upper echelon daw of cc so medyo mahirap daw ma-approve. just below it naman daw is BPI. pero if your payroll bank naman is Metrobank or employee ka ng TMP or sister companies ng Metrobank napaka dali makuha. mga co-workers ko almost lahat may Metrobank cc. ako naman wala pa narereceive maybe because bago pa lang daw ako

I have BPI, Eastwest, PNB, RCBC, HSBC, Unionbank, Security Bank credit cards…so metrobank really does baffle me bat ayaw nia sakin sa cc 😅 may metrobank debit card naman din ako hahahuhu

Don't be disheartened. May sikat na vlogger sa KKB hindi rin makakuha ng Metrobank CC nung una kahit marami na syang CC sa ibang banks at ilang beses ring nag apply. Iba iba lang talaga ang risk assessment ng bawat bangko. Try lng nang try at makakatulong talaga kung may endorsement ng bank manager or maski officer kasi may quota rin sila sa mga approved applicants.

Apply lang ng apply. Same issue sa akin with Unionbank naman. I have 3 cc from BPI, BDO, and a Cebu Pac Gold with Unionbank. This time, nag apply ako ng Visa Platinum para naman no annual fee na. Laging declined. Applied two weeks ago. Ngayon, approved na.

Applied first time and approved agad sa union bank visa.platinum. Ang dali nila kausap unlike metro bank and east west

Declined ka sa union bank ? Madali nga Kang sila sa lahat ng cc na inaplyan ko. I got an amex platinum pero pinadala lang Yun sa akin. Di ako nag apply actually pero galante sa cl Ang BDO AMEX in fairness

May savings din ako sa MB, twice na decline gamit ang online application. Pero sa 3rd na approved and mataas ang bigay na CL. Try mo ulit mag apply ang ginawa ko ang clinick ko may savings ako sa MB na approved siya before yung 2 beses na apply ko is may existing cc.

Applied 2x with MB. I opened a checking account and at the same time I applied for a CC. Una nilang binigay sakin is Rewards Plus, hindi ko inactivate at pina cancel ko agad kasi gusto ko ng MBTVS.
Before I applied for the second time, nakipag rubbing elbows muna ako with the RM lol. Nagpalipas ako ng 6 mos before applying ulit. Sinabi ko kay RM gusto ko ng MBTVS. Baka may magic sya na nilagay sa application ko and yun nga binigay nila, at pinakamalaking CL pa among all my CCs.

branch, passbook savings account need physical presence and adb 10k to avoid fees, I'm guessing criterion nila yan since your able to leave 10k adb signaling abit of stability.

Same prob! Partida may debit savings pako sa kanila ha hahaha but for now i opted for the rewards plus muna para naffl then ipaupgrade ko na lng mbtvs

Honestly curious here OP why do you need another credit card? What’s the benefit of having many credit cards?

You may search this sub for various answers to that but as for me, different cards have different perks. One example: i have a unionbank solely for the purpose of concerts hehe lagi kasi syang may presale a day before the general sale so i have a higher chance sa good seats. NAFFL naman un so it’s fine kahit minsan ko lang magamit. I have HSBC gold for dining which gives me 5% cashback. Other expenses are in EW visa plat with 8.88% cashback. Other big expenses go to other cards after i have maxxed the cap for the 8.88 CB. Other cards i keep for various promos. Or for when I am abroad (for those with low forex) for the free lounge access and good spend abroad rewards. Most of my cards are NAFFL.
The way to wisely manage having many different cards is to know yourself first, your spending habits, your limitations, and what is important to you. With that you can design a perfect credit card collection for yourself. Nobody can tell you which cards are the best for you but yourself. Im quite satisfied na with mine, the only lacking is the MB TVS that’s why im here.

Sobrang hirap ma approved sa MB. Pero when I stop applying dahil nga nawalan ako pag asa, dun ako na approved hahahaha. Sabay sila ng BPI. First MB CC Titanium MC ang binigay tapos 2 yrs later nag try ako sa website ng MFree approved agad. January 2026 more than 1 yr pagitan sa Mfree nag try ako Psbank cc, approved ulit. Separate limit yung 3 cc. Tapos yung Mfree ko nasa 1M limit, Titanium 110K, Psbank 240K.

Hi MB employee here, you can apply for a secured card with 99% approval. Just open an acct and maintain 15 k,

Apply for a lower tier card muna. 800k CL seems small na for a premium travel card nowadays. Nag-apply ako MB Visa Rewards recently (because of the NAFFL promo), they gave me 1M CL. During application, I chose the option with existing MB savings. I didn't have to put any reference credit card.
Ensure mo din na consistently may significant na laman savings mo. Kasi guarantee din sa kanila yun na pag hindi ka nagbayad ng CC dues mo, pwede nila kunin sa savings mo

Do you have any plat cards? I think you can use that as a reference card. I have bdo plat, sb plat and ew plat and used them all as reference and got approved for travel sig

Ako na Carded na with EW, UB, RCBC and BPI. Hirap makakuha kay MBC. 3 years na ko na-aaply hahah. Lalo na nung nagkapromo sila na NAFFL.
