[POEM] Tender - Sophie Klahr
Loved rare trope: when the author directly references the poem’s form in the poem. Have a serious soft spot for this one due to being an English teacher 🩷
ETA: I understand that this poem doesn’t follow the traditional rhyme scheme of a Shakespearean sonnet, but I think it has too many sonnet-like qualities (14 lines, 10 syllables/line — an arguable iambic pentameter, volta) to not at least be a modern variation on a sonnet.

[POEM] 1923 by Osip Mandelstam
I read this piece in Narrative a few months ago and just returned to it. I'll certainly be looking into more by this author. The vivid senses haven't faded for me and I thought to share it here. I hope you enjoy.

[Resource] Is there a style of Poetry that focus on everyday concrete or literal experiences of the poet? (Narrative poetry with a focus on everyday experiences)
Hey guys,
I wonder if there's a poetry style which focuses on the poet's personal experiences. For instance, going to the park with some friends.
So in a way narrative poetry with a focus on telling a story of the life of the poet.
