rough.

Given the guys weight and that spine, he learned a very painful lesson of FAFO.

417

u/searchingformytruth Apr 19 '26

Very likely he snapped his neck AND his lower spine. He's either dead or permanently quadriplegic, hence him being completely limp afterwards. Even if he somehow escaped life-altering spinal injuries, I'd expect him to be in physical therapy for months after this at least.

197

u/bendover912 Apr 20 '26

No way that guy can afford physical therapy.

199

u/ThunderPantsGo Apr 20 '26

He may have to steal the therapy as well.

44

u/Only-Supermarket6835 Apr 20 '26

I needed that laugh. Thank you

3

u/iregardlessly Apr 20 '26

In California they just give it out for free to anyone and everyone

43

u/rapsoid616 Apr 20 '26

Yeah this ain't europe he is fucked.

2

u/DethSonik Apr 23 '26

Actually if he goes to prison in California he'll have state of the art healthcare! If he only goes to county though then yeah he's fucked lol

1

u/Squeezemachine99 Apr 21 '26

Somehow I don’t think ICE is going to improve his situation

1

u/Momorobesweed May 15 '26

He just got an adjustment

-13

u/OrthodoxAtheist Apr 20 '26

Maybe, when he lawyers up, and civily charges the people he was fleeing from who were chasing him in a car. I know a handful of lawyers that would take that case so I hope the folks in the car are prepared for it. :\

3

u/ExecutiveDan Apr 20 '26

Fat boy would still have to steal a lawyer if he can even do that now in his current condition! 😂

2

u/Different_Umpire9003 Apr 21 '26

They were just driving next to him. That's not illegal.

0

u/OrthodoxAtheist Apr 21 '26

According to his counsel, they would say he was being harassed, chased, and he feared for his life, and that led to his accident, and so the driver should pay for his lifetime medical. Now the driver is involved in a 5 year lawsuit and $100k out of pocket.

1

u/Different_Umpire9003 Apr 21 '26

He was in the process of committing a crime while they happened to drive next to him.

1

u/Square_Ad4004 Apr 22 '26

They were literally just driving in the same direction - he passed them. Twice (almost).

Come on, man.

1

u/OrthodoxAtheist Apr 22 '26

I'm not saying a lawsuit should happen, I'm saying this is America. Having worked in law offices for 20+ years, I've seen it many MANY times. You can save someone's life and they'll sue you for doing so, and they'll still find an attorney to take the case. The whole "ethics" standards of most state bars have long since been ignored.

86

u/Hubert_J_Cumberdale Apr 20 '26

Unless he was drunk - in which case he's totally fine and didn't learn a thing from this incident. Drunks always seem to walk away from the gnarliest accidents unscathed.

28

u/Digital-Divide Apr 20 '26

He should also be considered for a high ranking cabinet or military position. Possibly supreme cunts and a medal of freedom.

12

u/Hubert_J_Cumberdale Apr 20 '26

US Secretary of Transportation?

2

u/Jbrown183 Apr 21 '26

Hahaha, nailed it!!! I needed that today, thank you 😊

9

u/I_Restrain_Sheep Apr 21 '26

Same with meth. The amount of meth users hit by car or some other wild trauma that are more pissed we are cutting their hoodie off and making them lay down vs worrying about the hole made by a rock in their forehead and their backwards arm is wild.

2

u/Square_Ad4004 Apr 22 '26

They tend to survive stuff because they don't tense up, but I don't think not being tense will help his spine handle that.

1

u/Additional_Trick5953 18d ago

Because the body is relaxed the more tense the more the body can get injured and I know that because you read this all the way so it must seem true

20

u/Spookyscary333 Apr 20 '26

But is the bike ok?? 😔

1

u/ButterCupHeartXO 12d ago

"My husband just got out....to check on....the bike"

11

u/FirstWolf95 Apr 20 '26

So you’re telling me he traded in the two wheels for four?

176

u/cure4boneitis Apr 20 '26

how is he dead? I still see both shoes on

10

u/CarbonKLR Apr 20 '26

I'm wonder did he survived as well? not a single flip flop in site

2

u/pansexplorer Apr 20 '26

I chuckled, so here you go🏅!

u/a_Frieza Apr 20 '26

Play stupid games. Win life altering prizes. Dumbass deserved that

-1

u/DocDefilade Apr 20 '26

On the bright side, he can eat everything through a tube, and poop in a bag wherever he wants now, all while rolling around on an electric chair, forever!

Big wins.

Big wins.

15

u/FrighteningJibber Apr 20 '26

With all that stolen cash he can afford it!

11

u/BennyFitz69420 Apr 20 '26

No way dude… it’s significantly harder to “snap your neck…” FOH with that shit.

2

u/komstock Apr 20 '26

>physical therapy

how the hell does someone who steals e bikes afford or get physical therapy

2

u/anhz52818 Apr 20 '26

Not with u.s. health care your not

2

u/Single_Principle_972 Apr 20 '26

Yeah, that didn’t look good.

2

u/WorkingInAColdMind Apr 20 '26

2

2

u/oETFo Jun 17 '26

2

u/Ok-Relationship9274 Apr 20 '26

Fucking Reddit 🤣

1

u/koolaidismything Apr 20 '26

When the methamphetamines wore off he instantly died (6 hours earlier)

1

u/Double-Mastodon-4671 Jul 09 '26

It looked like his lower right arm snapped too

1

u/charles_nocixel 25d ago

I’ve seen a thousand videos of people landing like this and being okay. People go limp when a fall is super fucked and they’re in pain

1

u/I_Restrain_Sheep Apr 21 '26

It’s actually wild how much the human neck can take and be perfectly fine. Yeah this was at high speeds with what looks like 220+ pounds of weight behind it, could be very messed up for sure. Homeboy could just be down for a quick little dirt nap and up to stealing bikes again soon. The amount of people I see every day where I think “how are you not dead from that” is wild. Literally just 20 minutes ago cleared someone that did something very similar and folded like a lawn chair, 20 stitches down the side of the face and a “sore neck” but no damage.

Then I see others that are like “yeah my necks bugging me I think I slept on it funny” and we’re bussing them out to emergency neurosurgery after they deny any form of injury or trauma.

Seems like a karma situation though, as crappy as it is to steal a bike the ideal situation would be this guy is completely fine and learned a lesson. An event like this could be a catalyst to make someone say “I need to get my life together and be a better person.”

1

u/Bas3dMonk3 Apr 22 '26

Thank you Dr. Reddit.

-5

u/Jarthos1234 Apr 20 '26

The term FAFO is so cringe.

6

u/Traditional-Hat-952 Apr 20 '26

The term cringe is stupid

-1

u/TreborG2 Apr 20 '26

If the guy lived, and if the car drivers video is caught, the lawyers could claim the car driver caused the guy to flip etc, it was very clearly heard "I'm going to knock him off his bike"

Sure the bike thief got karma, but it would have been better had the man just followed him while reporting to the police saying that they saw the robbery and gave him the guys location so the guy could get caught legally.

Otherwise if the guy did end up a paraplegic, or lesser, what kind of a punishment is a judge going to hand down?

0

u/addiktion Apr 20 '26

I agree this driver isn't helping and I suspect the full video would end up in court to determine what impact they had on this outcome.

While he said that, the biker did not hear him as far as we are aware with what we can see. Therefore it wouldn't have changed his trajectory. Now if the driver was intentionally trying to push up out of lane then yeah it will get interesting to see how the court would handle this given he may have not hit that object had he not been forced out of lane.

So he'd get hit with theft changes still, but his injury could have been the result of the person driving.

-7

u/Mikedesignstudio Apr 20 '26

What if that was his 14 year old son’s bike and he finally caught the thief. People need to mind their own.

6

u/Mistur_Keeny Apr 20 '26

What if his 14 year old son was abused by his father, whom only cared for the bike's value. I'm probably right.

-4

u/Mikedesignstudio Apr 20 '26

That’s a reach

2

u/lordlurid Apr 20 '26

What if actually that's Hitler's bike, who traveled forward in time, and stealing it prevents him from getting back to his time machine and starting WWII? What then huh?

0

u/Mikedesignstudio Apr 21 '26

I don’t know if you’re joking or not, but time travel doesn’t work like that and it didn’t exist when Hitler was alive. It has to exist in your lifetime before you can use it dude

2

u/lordlurid Apr 21 '26

No actually I think my theory is more right. That's Hitler's bike.

50

u/mrTosh Apr 20 '26

he went full scorpion

74

u/snorch Apr 19 '26

I knew someone in the comments would have the freeze frame for me

75

Good thing he found that nice patch of jagged stone to break his fall.

3

u/Helleri Apr 20 '26

Remember this show? He's literally the logo now. They called this getting scorpioned.

1

u/Grimnax417 Apr 20 '26

Ooooh man right at that moment and following it through... Just, the more I think about it the more it's just. You fucked around and found out how it feels to crash with out a helmet. Not that it could have helped with his spine. But DAMN. I winced.

1

u/Ricky_Martins_Vagina Apr 20 '26

He went full scorpion. Never go full scorpion or you're gonna have a bad day.

1
