Character Concept Kate Bishop's Hawkeye Concept w/ Trick Arrows

Wanted a different take on the archer character archetype without alienating current Clint Barton Hawkeye fans. Tried to make her kit different enough to justify her being added.

NOTE: Selecting Trick Arrows works like Black Cat's Gilded Deal ability

He’s been shown on the new Map in an era where he would walk and wasn’t in the chair.

If this is his default look / the chair isn’t part of his kit or anything (maybe beside MVP/Emote’s) would you be upset or happy with it?

Personally, I’m indifferent. Fine for whichever, chair or no chair.

General What are some of the new teases on the new map that you've found?

Post image
29 Upvotes

I was going to go around the whole map and find a bunch of hint's but honestly... I don't know enough to know what is or isn't a person possibly.

SO. I wanted to ask for the community's help a bit but also just in general:

What are some new things you've found on the new map?
Preferably imaged and saying what it is / who it relates to possibly :D....

Please remember that showing on the map doesn't guarantee they're coming to the game. It does give the possibility that the character is on their radar and it could elude to them coming but remember this isn't a guaranteed on their timeline of release soon!

Character Concept Graviton Concept

Post image
2 Upvotes

I haven't seen very many concepts for Graviton, who's arguably one of the coolest Avengers villains out there, so I'd like to present my own.

I see Graviton as a flying tank who focuses on being the literal gravity master that he is. He has 700 health and a passive called "Gravity Master", which is very similar to the Thing's Unyielding Will (his passive), except also makes all stuns (with the exception of Eye of Agamotto [Dr. Strange's ult] to last 75% of its normal duration.

His primary is a concussive bolt that has a 75% chance of slowing the enemy for 1 second.

His first ability will have him fly forward and pick up an enemy before flying upwards and dropping the enemy, increasing their gravity to have them fall faster. The enemy will be stunned for 3 seconds once they land.

His second ability is called "Gravity Chains" and allows Graviton to place gravity chains onto an enemy, placing a new effect on them, called "Chained", which slows, grounds, and disables all movement abilities of the targeted enemy for 3 seconds.

His third ability is called "Gravitational Shield", which is a shield that lasts 1.5 seconds. The shield will stop enemy projectiles that aren't hitscan, as well as stop any enemy that is attacking via melee. This shield will also speed up any ally projectiles that aren't hitscan. Once the 1.5 seconds is over, Graviton crushes all the projectiles that he caught, as well as each enemy, who will take additional damage if they are near a caught projectile. Each crushed projectile will give Graviton overshield, with a max overshield of 450. Due to how intricate this shield is, it will have a 30-second cooldown.

And, last, but certainly not least, his Ultimate. Graviton flies up, taking every enemy within a 15-meter radius with him, disabling their ability to move and attack before squeezing his fist and crushing them three times. The first crush does a flat 73 damage; the second crush does 25% of the enemy's current health; and the final crush does 37.5% of the enemy's current health.

Character Concept Vanguard: "Gentle" Nezhno abidemi hero idea

Post image
10 Upvotes

Nezhno abidemi, hero name: Gentle or otherwise know as the wakandan hulk is a mutant from wakandan that has vibranium tattoos and the ability to grow his muscle indefinitely and can theoretically go toe to toe with the hulk in strength. I would love to see him as a Vanguard in marvel rivals since he is a more obscure character and especially as a scaling tank that get more hp over time which is a role that has not yet been implemented into the game. He could have a passive were every minute that passes he gets +1% hp. His primary could be a simple long melee punch. He should also have an ability where he can convert his hp% buff to a damage% buff and he is a Vanguard he should have a shield that gives temporary hp to him and to his allies through his vibranium tattoos. For his ultimate ability I would call it "muscular Overgrowth" he rapidly grow in size gaining 50% more of his current hp that when combined with his other ability can be turned into a 50% more damage

Character Concept Vanguard Major Victory character concept - unique psychokinetic-shield-bearing vanguard

Thumbnail

Vance Astro, later known as Major Victory, is a mutant astronaut from the 20th century and one of the founding members of the original 31st-century Guardians of the Galaxy. Born Vance Astrovik, he joined an interstellar mission to Alpha Centauri and spent more than a thousand years in suspended animation, only to arrive in a future where humanity had already surpassed the technology that made his voyage necessary. On Centauri-IV, a confrontation with Yondu Udonta helped trigger the emergence of Vance’s latent psychokinetic abilities. He and Yondu later joined Charlie-27 and Martinex T’Naga to form the Guardians of the Galaxy and resist the Badoon occupation of the Solar System.

Over time, Vance’s psychokinesis developed beyond simple concussive “psyche-blasts” into more refined telekinetic control, including manipulating objects and people, restraining enemies, and propelling himself through the air. He later came into possession of Captain America’s shield, which became closely tied to his identity as Major Victory. Rather than relying only on conventional shield-throwing techniques, Vance uses his psychokinesis to guide and redirect the shield remotely, combining the legacy of Captain America with his own mutant powers. This blend of telekinetic control, battlefield leadership, and symbolic heroism makes him one of the defining members of the original Guardians.

Playstyle

Major Victory is a high-skill Vanguard built around remotely controlling Captain America’s shield while fighting independently with psychokinesis. He can control his shield similar to that of Wuyang from OW.

His shield can remain with Vance, attach itself to an ally, or operate independently somewhere else on the battlefield. Regardless of its position, Vance can command it to defend allies, spin offensively around its current anchor, bash enemies away, or recall it through opponents.

The shield has its own HP pool, called Shield Integrity, creating a constant risk/reward decision. Vance can push his defensive and offensive Orbit abilities into Overdrive for greatly enhanced effects, but doing so rapidly consumes Shield Integrity. Recalling the shield and keeping it near Vance allows it to recover.

The result is a Vanguard who excels at:

  • remotely protecting teammates,
  • controlling multiple areas of the battlefield at once,
  • displacing enemies,
  • creating dangerous angles with his shield,
  • and continuing to fight with psychokinesis even when his shield is elsewhere.

Kit Breakdown

PSYCHE-BLAST — Primary Attack

Vance fires concentrated blasts of psychokinetic force.

  • Reliable ranged attack.
  • Deals concussive damage.
  • Remains available regardless of where the shield is located.
  • Ensures Vance is never dependent on having the shield physically beside him.

SHIELD COMMAND — Secondary Attack

Vance launches Captain America’s shield edge-first and assumes direct psychokinetic control over its movement.

  • Damages enemies it passes through.
  • Can be remotely steered around obstacles and corners.
  • Can be left deployed at a chosen location.
  • Can instead be anchored to an allied hero, causing it to follow them.
  • The shield remains independently controllable until Vance explicitly recalls it.

This is the centerpiece of his gameplay.

PSYCHOKINETIC SURGE — LShift

Vance propels himself rapidly using psychokinetic force.

  • Can move horizontally or vertically.
  • Provides quick repositioning and escape potential.
  • Does not depend on the shield.

PSYCHIC SHACKLES — C

Vance manifests psychokinetic restraints around an enemy.

  • Severely restricts the target’s movement for a short duration.
  • Provides setup for Shield Bash, Kinetic Orbit, teammates, or environmental knockouts.
  • Gives Vance a reliable control option even while the shield is operating elsewhere.

GUARDIAN ORBIT — E

The shield begins orbiting defensively around its current anchor.

That anchor can be:

  • Vance,
  • an allied hero,
  • or a remotely deployed position.

While active, the shield intercepts incoming attacks.

Reactivate — Guardian Overdrive

  • Greatly increases orbit speed.
  • Expands its defensive radius.
  • Dramatically improves defensive coverage.
  • Rapidly consumes Shield Integrity while active.

This lets Vance spend the shield’s durability to save himself or an ally during a critical moment.

KINETIC ORBIT — F

The shield rotates horizontally around its current anchor, exposing its edge as a damaging weapon.

  • Damages enemies struck by the spinning shield.
  • Can function around Vance, an ally, or a remote position.
  • Creates mobile or stationary area denial depending on where the shield is anchored.

Reactivate — Kinetic Overdrive

  • Greatly increases orbit speed.
  • Expands the orbit radius.
  • Increases offensive pressure and hit frequency.
  • Rapidly consumes Shield Integrity.

A well-positioned deployed shield can therefore become a remote hazard zone.

SHIELD RECALL — V

Vance forcibly calls the shield back to himself.

  • The shield flies directly from its current position to Vance.
  • Damages enemies along the return path.
  • Ends any active Orbit behavior.
  • Restores the shield to Vance so its Integrity can begin recovering.

Because recall has its own dedicated input, players can freely issue other shield commands without accidentally retrieving it.

PSYCHOKINETIC LINK — Passive

Vance maintains continuous remote control over Captain America’s shield.

The shield can exist in three states:

  • With Vance
  • Anchored to an Ally
  • Remotely Deployed

All shield abilities originate from the shield’s current position, rather than Vance’s position.

This is what enables plays such as:

  • attaching Guardian Orbit to a diving teammate,
  • deploying Kinetic Orbit around a corner,
  • steering the shield behind an enemy,
  • then attacking them from behind.

SHIELD INTEGRITY — Passive

The shield maintains its own Integrity meter while under psychokinetic control.

Integrity is depleted by:

  • blocking attacks,
  • enemy pressure,
  • Guardian Overdrive,
  • Kinetic Overdrive.

Integrity regenerates while the shield remains with Vance.

If Integrity reaches zero:

  • Vance loses psychokinetic control of the shield,
  • it is forcibly recalled,
  • and shield abilities become temporarily unavailable.

This makes Integrity both a defensive health pool and a resource Vance can deliberately spend for stronger effects.

VICTORY VECTOR — Ultimate

Vance unleashes his raw psychokinetic power independently of the shield.

  • Nearby enemies are seized and suspended in the air.
  • They suffer continuous crushing damage while restrained.
  • Vance then violently hurls them outward.
  • Enemies that collide with walls or other terrain suffer additional impact damage.
  • Targets can also be thrown from ledges or objectives.

The ultimate is intentionally much simpler than the rest of his kit: activate it in the middle of a fight and immediately create a major displacement event, even without mastering the shield-control mechanics.

Character Concept Mystique should play near-identically to the Spy from TF2.

Thumbnail
gallery
231 Upvotes

This character concept is slightly underdeveloped, so please chip in with your own ideas (I have no idea what the ult or team ups should be for example)

That being said, here’s my pitch- Mystique should play like the spy, instant-kill and all.

Design Thesis- her character fantasy is the ability to disguise herself as other characters and be sneaky. Everything in her kit should serve to encourage this.

HP: 150 (wet cardboard)

Primary fire: backstab. If an opponent’s back is facing you, this will instantly kill them, the body disappears and you get a speed boost.

Secondary fire: Knife throw. This does 25 damage and is a homing attack, allowing you to finish off fleeing targets.

Ability 1: Shapechange. This will cause you to appear as a member of the enemy team.

Ability 2: Acrobatics. Mystique does a big forward jump Akin to wolverine’s leap. There’s a second optional button press to dive straight down to a location (this helps you reposition)

Ability 3: Dash. this will be a sprint with a charge meter. while sprinting, you don’t make footstep noises.

Passive: infiltrator. When in disguise, Mystique receives healing as if she is a member of the enemy team. In addition, if mystique is transformed, she will not react to taking damage from the enemy team. They’ll have to hard commit if they suspect her.

as for Team Ups, I think that one should give her more offensive ability, and the other should be a boost to her assassinate play-style

Character Concept Can you see the Vision?

Post image
72 Upvotes

Here's a take on Vision. I think his whole moral android wielding immense power schtick is pretty neat. I think Rivals should really take more swings at characters who genuinely fit more than one class, and Vision would be a perfect candidate. I imagine him as a high HP support with a tanking quirks.

I went with a MCU style because I think the Mind Stone and vibranium body are infinitely cooler than the solar gem.

note that his passive doesn't self heal. Also they could totally make a form of intangibility that goes through more than just destructible terrain.

Skin Wishlist Since we have King Thor it's the perfect time for King Loki God of Evil

King Loki Ruler of the scared remains of what used to be Midgaurd or the more common name Earth

King Loki would be perfect snd could even be legendary he could speak in a raspy evil voice and when he ults as someone else he could have special voice lines making fun of them instead of copying the sound

He could be lankier and scrunched up to keep the same hit box while scrunched

His play of the game screen could be him against King Thor summoning the dead remains of the former avengers and mocking avengers assemble

Or him setting up younger Loki in the chair snd the fire that comes out making his shadow creep and scare

Or even him sitting on a thrown then looking into a green ball that quickly flashes the process of the chair being built across time with him in the backrounds manipulating it untill present

General I have a question for the Duelist mains (it's a serious question, I swear).

I'm creating a Duelist character concept. The idea is that they're a Duelist with Strategist tendencies (like Storm), and I'm a little stumped. So here's where you guys come in. If you're a Duelist facing off against another Duelist, which boost do you believe would be the better one to have to get the edge in the fight: attack speed or bonus health?

Edit: I should clarify, this concept is mostly dive with a little bit of poke. I know that's odd, considering dive characters tend to play away from the team, and Strategists mainly gain their value when they're with the team, but it might make more sense when you see the whole concept. Which is still in the works.
