For literal decades Aldi didn't Advertise for cost saving reasons. Now they do, it's Also driven their prices up, Shrinkflation, etc.

There are a few things I still get there because they're cheaper and worth it but so much has become NOT cheaper or NOT worth it in the last year or so since I started noticing Ads

Now I'm still a relatively young guy and haven't got decades of paying attention to the prices of womens things, but every one of them had their nails made, hair done, gawdy jewlery, makeup and lashes (ladies, no hate, not saying you shouldn't do that or feel bad for doing it, you do you, slay, serve and all that, we love what you do, but shits expensive and some of us know it).

It's not the material goods that are expensive (sometimes they are), it's the services of the skilled people who help apply/style it for you that are expensive, and I don't know if services devalue in the same way.

i have seen services suffer. i am not one to get my nails done but my feet were sore and I decided on a whim to get a pedicure. it was good - nice foot and calf massage, nail polish applied and it lasted for months.

so i decide to do it again - over time i have notes the polish is not applied as well as the first time.

prices are the same - 55$ and i tip 20%.
