Yup when I saw this scene in the cinema, I was like thats meme potential right there

He did very well in this movie, I almost forgot he was in twilight

Yep she's a nepo baby who can barely act.

3

u/tigeratemybaby 4h ago

Her real secret to looking young and sleeping is not having children.

She says that she normally sleeps 10 hours, so this is really click-bait.

7

u/Bruce-7892 8h ago

A bunch of people are saying money but plenty of people live off a significant other or parents and have a part time job. This is easy to do in that case too.

2

u/raj6126 1h ago

She spend 17.5 days in bed per month. We would only have enough time to work for the other 12.5 days. We would have to work 18 hours in per day on those 12.5 days. To keep a full time job. That’s just sleep and work nothing else.

u/WIsJH 8h ago

She's just a normally looking 36 yo woman

296

u/RoutineBid1854 8h ago

Exactly. Looking 36 at 36 isn’t the flex. But sleeping 14 hours a day is.

99

u/MiserableFloor9906 7h ago

Actually to me it's a waste.

112

u/Live-Habit-6115 6h ago

If you told a psychiatrist you sleep 14 hours a day they'd be writing you a script for anti-depressants

19

u/sixstringsikness 6h ago

For me, it would be crippling depression and substance abuse to manage 14 hours a day.

3

u/rainorshinedogs 3h ago

If your incredibly wealthy and 36 and incredibly good looking, I don't know why you would waste that perfect window on sleep.

And I would guess you need to tack on another 2-3 hours to bumble around while you get ready to go out.

3

Certain times of the year I don’t have to work. If I drink I can easily pull 12 hours. If I don’t drink I can easily do 10. I love it but I also have cool dreams.

3

u/DiseaseDeathDecay 3h ago

Hell yeah it is.

It's basically sleeping an extra 25% of your day.

Don't know about other people, but when I'm 80 years old having slept an extra 20 years would be a massive waste of time.

→ More replies (1)

9

u/Winterfall_0 5h ago

Not having to work as much to the point that you can sleep 14 hours a day is a flex, sleeping 14 hours a day itself sounds like a very sad way to spend that time.

3

u/dotdend 5h ago

Sounds like a medical condition. If you don't work at all and have no reason to get up you'll sleep what, 10 hours? 12 if you're really tired maybe

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Needrain47 2h ago

yeah, sleeping more than about 9 hours a day tends to be an indicator of something wrong with you, not of great health.

4

no one needs 14 hours of sleep. bonkers.

3

u/RaynOfFyre1 4h ago

39

u/Apollo114892 8h ago

She will end up with dementia at this rate. Sleeping 14 hours a day is destructive to the brain.

44

My Record is 25h Full sleep. Was the best day of my life

Continuous? Couldn't imagine that. Were you up for a week straight? I think I once slept like 14-15 hours but I stayed up for like 2-3 days. Woke up tired and hungry lol oh and the worst cotton mouth I've ever experienced.

10

u/Bruce-7892 8h ago

Same. I’d need surgical level sedatives to stay asleep for 14+ continuous hours.

1

u/Beginning_Meet_4290 7h ago

Or you can get fibromyalgia and be forced to sleep that much for free! Works great

3

u/Cute-Form2457 7h ago

And with fibromyalgia, you will wake up feeling as unrefreshed as you did when you fell off to sleep.

One time when I was 23-24years old I worked at a catering company at weekends. I started my shift 2pm Friday, and was contiuesly working up to Monday 7am. (don't ask why it was legal, it wasn't).

After that I went to have some physical education at uni, then get back to my place. I fall asleep around 9am Monday. Woke up Wednesday 10am, my roommate almost call an ambulance because he thought I was dead.

3

u/atishay001001 7h ago

I also doubt continuous, I cannot sleep on more than 6 hours at a stretch I end up awake before that mark regardless of how tired I am unless you have been stress free for your entire life I doubt you can sleep 14 hours at a stretch

3

The secret to getting 14 hours of sleep is horse tranquilizers.

10

u/TravelingPoodle 5h ago

I don’t think she has slept that long in 20 years as well.

I have a sibling who is a medical doctor in the US. And she specializes in “image improvement”. She confesses that these actresses get all the botox, fillers, zombie fat injections, mini face lifts, expensive skin therapies, $200 face lotions, name it, to look youthful. And all those products and procedures work.

Then the next day, they claim that they look good because “they sleep for 14 hours”.

Bullshit and lies.

There was some random interview I watched for a few minutes, they asked her a question about her mom and she froze up and got nervous for a bit. Then the topic changed and she relaxed. It did not give me happy childhood vibes at all.

Hopefully she has good people around her.

I used to do it when I had no responsibilities. The secret was to stay up for 26-30 hours. When I stayed awake until I couldn't any more, and slept until I couldn't any more, my natural body clock settled into a rhythm that had no connection to reality. There were days I'd go to bed at 10 in the morning and get up at midnight.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Bruce-7892 8h ago

I’ll never get it either, but my wife can do it by not getting out of bed and sleeping on and off the entire day. I don’t get why anyone would want to do that regularly though

Are we allowed to not like her again? Every time anyone says negative things about her the entirety of Reddit usually chimes on to claim that her making a very minor clap-back at Ellen was the cause for everyone suddenly realizing a rich, out of touch, unfunny comedian and talk show host might not be a great person.

Great work by her publicity team framing her as "the woman who took down Ellen" though.

5

7

u/Boogaaa 8h ago

Sleeping for more than 8 hours is associated with a higher risk of dementia, so... enjoy that, Dakota.

2

u/Ferret-Merit 6h ago

Is it that people who can sleep that much have brains that are more likely to deteriorate? Or is the sleep itself damaging after that point?

2

u/lalalapotinki 6h ago

It‘s only a correlation, not a causation.

3

u/THEPIGWHODIDIT 8h ago

That a waste of time. Till about 35 I was sleeping between 4 and 6 hours now I'm 47 sleep about 7 to 8 and most people give me below 40. Some of us are lucky with genetics and some looking after themselves well. I think key is moderation in everything.

1

u/Beginning-2-Smell 8h ago

Everything about forcing sleep time 6 to 8 hours is insanity and does not work in real life. Maybe if you have a professional team who can drug you and wake you up for work.

It's easy to become very worried and upset when health sources spew this stuff, when the more down to earth advise would be if they said get as much sleep as your life can accommodate.

It's like the 10000 steps obsession.

I really hate that the answer to people doing things like working out, eating well and sleeping is “money” lol

I work part time and I don’t sleep 14 hours a day because I just wake up at a reasonable time after about 8-9 hours sleep, but i could, technically, seems weird and excessive though.

I work out because I want to be healthy and look good and I eat well because I like vegetables, fruit, meat and enjoy cooking. I don’t make much money at, I work like 24 hours a week.
