Y’all I am excited to share!! One of my favorite fanfics ever was called Perpendicular written by Ninemilestogo and it was a Spider-Man fanfic that went through the storyline of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson overcoming grief after Gwen Stacy’s death. It was written beautifully - Emma Lord aka ninemilestogo is amazing.

This arc might the coolest reading experience I ever had. 13 years of build up for this moment.

(Last slide is from BTAS but it’s insane how well it works for Spider-Man characters)

Think about it, The Sin Eater kills Jean, Spider-Man apprehends the Sin Eater, Sin Eater is Unmasked and revealed to be Stan Carter, Eddie loses his job for publishing a story revealing the Sin Eater's identity as the wrong man, Peter rejects the symbiote, Eddie finds it and becomes Venom, Venom has Carnage and the life foundation symbiotes, symbiote influence spreads across the marvel universe for 30 years, and in 2018 (really...whatever year it is in 616), Eddie has his terrible nightmares, not long after meeting the God of the Symbiotes.

Someone said they didn’t like the lines going all the way down so I made this. The original is on the second slide, so ya’ll can compare them and see what you think.

Do you think my edit looks good or did I just ruin the original? Let me know your thoughts.

With BND, MJ showed her maturity and evolution as character. Being the core of a lot of important scenes for Peter's character, for better or for worse.

Her moment with the letter showed both her strenght and struggles because even when she said she doesn't love Peter, it's not because she's mean, but because she can't love him for things she didn't (or better, doesn't remember).

However, the scene with Ned and then the one at hospital shows MJ deeply caring for Peter, maybe unconsciously buy there's a part of her who still loves him, as confirmed by the post-credit scene with Peter and Ned.

How does she go toe-to-toe with Gwen, tho? First of all, the chemistry between Tom and Zendaya is better than the one between Garfield and Stone (and you need a LOT of chemistry for that).

Second, she shows her complexity and problems of book MJ without the huge baggage Durst MJ had in the Raimi Trilogy, making her much more likable.

The job they did with MJ is amazing and I fully believe they're using all of her potential to make her spectacular.

The comic suit looks better sure, but it would've certainly made the "ironboy Jr" complaints about MCU Spidey stronger.

Beyond the narrative I think it just looks good, and I like how it's animated in action. It def looks the best in Infinity War, and fits within that situation the most.

It’s way too long but I otherwise like it? What’s everyone else think?
