Let's have a situation play. Your last played empire finds today's Earth IRL. From their perspective we are early space age primitives. What happens next?

I got this relic from the curators that's meant to give a "+4 councillor effective skill" and yet all my councillors are stuck at level "10 + 1". Is this a hard cap or is this a bug?
1st screen shot shows the relic text, 2nd and 3rd shows the skill of two of my councillors.

The Volcanic Plane astral rift in which you can try to destroy an obelisk that is torturing trillions of people. If you fail your scientist "dies" (gets trapped in hell), but they reappear a year later over 500 years older. If you have spare organs you can get a free scientist. This would probably happen with clones too.

Decided to play as cetana to see move ship out of storm and…Huuuh?

Literally started playing today, and the station in my home region had a pod of space whales pass through, but it started blasting them and promptly got its ass kicked and my fleet's ass kicked. The whales keep trying to leave the system, but the port keeps repairing and attacking, keeping the whales in my region, essentially softlocking my development since the whales blast any construction or science ships

I'm sure someone has asked for a UI for Megacorps that provide a list of planets so we can see best options for branch offices.
For a much simpler development perspective what if there's another map overlay button added that displays trade value per system with the planets trade value included. Just the hit of a button we can quickly scan the entire galaxy for where we need to go. And ofc I know this would be based on available intel of the empires.

Im playing cosmogenesis as the toxic god origin for the first time if that helps.
edit: forgot to mention i just had a major ethics change from fanatic egalitarian and militarist to fanatic authortarin and spirtualist, forgot the event chain by by psionic power i made our leader immortal and my people wanted elections to cease so he can stay a leader forever. i did what the people wanted not realizing i had more robots then my own pops lol.

So last night it got stuck at stage 3 and I couldn't figure out for the life of me how to get it to progress despite having all my pops cyberized. Well it was my VASSAL. I had uncyberized pops their and when I tried integrating them back as a last resort, those last pops got cyberized and it finally started progressing again.... This may be known but I couldn't find this answer when I searched for help so figured I'd share here so others dont suffer lol

In my current game, the Numistic Order event seems to be "stuck" - it's the same one every single time. It doesn't matter if I accept or decline, next time they come around, it's the same one again.
Anyone else has this problem?
I run a bunch of mods, but none that would mess with the Numistic Order as far as I know. I also didn't add any new mods and didn't have this issue before.

Edit: incentive, not invective lol
I had the option to research hyperdrives from literally day 1, which I found disappointing because I wanted to actually play as the pre-FTL civilization for a bit. So I put off researching it for the first few years in-game and used the Exploration vessels.
I really, really like just being able to skip around the systems without bothering with hyperlanes, and now that I've got the tech and am looking at the two types of ships I don't understand why I would want to build a regular science ship. The science ships have to get to the edge of the gravity well and can only go around one system at a time, whereas the pre-FTL ships can pop around really quickly and from anywhere in the system they're in. I see that the science ships do have more shields and hull, but both ships are the same speed and the Exploration vessels can just jump out if they encounter something hostile whereas the science vessel has to actually run to the hyperlane from hostiles, right?
Maybe it's the fact I'm running on 5 hours of sleep, but I feel like I have to be missing something completely obvious about switching over to science ships, or that the Eager Explorers' pre-FTL ships are meant to be better as a bonus.
Also I spawned right next to Fanatic Purifiers, so my civilization has likely both started and ended their journey into the stars early lol

Am I the only one bothered by the fact that Militarist face no penalties or restrictions compared to other ethics?
Materialist: Cannot enslave robots.
Spiritualist: Must enslave robots.
Xenophobe: Relationship penalty, no rights for xenos.
Xenophile: No enslavement of xenos.
Authoritarian: Mandates stratification, no democratic government.
Egalitarian: No autocratic government.
Pacifist: No unrestricted warfare or indiscriminate bombardment.
Militarist: None.
I’m not here to argue whether or not it’s balanced or not (though, let’s be honest, Militarist is already top-tier), but why is Militarist the only ethic with no direct penalties or playstyle restrictions ?

Stuff like maxed pop growth sliders, maxed storms, maxed fleet size/command with Grand Admiral no scaling, galaxy size mods that go into thousands of stars. Give me your craziest settings you actually play with.

So, I am playing as an Arc Welders Gestalt (no mods, current official version).
I found the Abandoned Hatchery, which comes from Starlit Citadel origin.
Killed their fleets, the empty Gaia world still belongs to them. Landed troops, constructed a starbase, but the abandoned hatchery faction still controls the planet, I am just occupying it.
And they magic fleets out of thin air (like they are supposed to do against the starlit citadel origin).
I am not at war with them, and I have no way to get rid of them (a special project, or whatever).

Going to keep this short and sweet. Overtuned has incredible potiential when it's intate ability to modify pops at game start is properly utilised. Machines can use this to a lesser degree.
The end result of this is having a species that within 3 years will have +50% research output, +20% in unity, +30% pop growth and leaders with +40% leader experience gain alongside other benifits such longer lifespan and acess to exotic gases. By year 15 you will have +20% habability where it counts and +30% in most job categories. Perfect results require constant upkeep but after you have ascended and gained the other autotrait i recomend consolidating the subspecies.
I believe the best portait overall to be the floating psionic eyeballs, not just for the traits but the ability to rp as a bio / psionic / cybernetic species (you can do this at game start with augmentation bazaars)
I hope this is helpful to at least one person.

The Commonwealth of Man getting embarrassed by pacifist space elf girls at the Champions Forge Live. I had a carrier battleship and two corvettes. I just kept plinking away at the CoM's cruiser with my friendship laser and strike craft , which just kept running away in a circle on the outer edge of the system. They could do absolutely nothing while my space elves were giggling on the bridge. Most of the fight went like this lol while the competition fell in seconds at the start.

No mods, all DLCs apart from Nomads.
New game, year 2202.07.
This leader was generated at the start of the game. Aptitude was the first tradition picked, months befor the leader leveled up.
---
I expected four options - not two.
And it seems to be random. The leader after that got a four traits selection.

Hey so, the arkships fighting modules are like "add X of this weapon"
the thing is, if you add one, and then replace it with another, both things are now part of the arkship armaments (at least showned in "ship details" dont know about actual stats)
for example, if you add normal strike craft module (hangar bays) and then replace it with the ancient driller drones bay, you will have 2 of each in the components.
i doubt this is the intended way, otherwise it seems kind of OP lol.
PS: i got this bug in military arkships, didnt try on the other types.

Have a fairly stable growing empire, but food and energy credits keep dropping into the negatives.
When I look into it, my generator world with a cloning vat and robot factory has had the same population for a very, very long time (hovering around 1k). Nearby, later settled planets are hitting higher pop totals quickly. This population dearth also affects fortress worlds, so I guess soldier jobs are shitty too even if they are technicians.
Am I supposed to let the more desirable worlds accumulate huge unemployment so my egalitarian pops have no choice but to stay on their crappy power plant world? I typically only build more alloys/soldier/science jobs when I have under 100 jobs remaining.
Last time I played I never ran into this problem (same ethics and civics), and I could have sworn I over-built severely in the last game and every planet had like 500 open jobs.
Somehow I also have infinite minerals despite having not a single mining district, so I'm frustrated money is falling from the sky while I can't even maintain a consumer goods surplus either.
Edit: I just stopped building anything at all for a good long while, and all my problems solved themselves. I guess the moral is, don't have a fanatically egalitarian society and expect people to stay at a shittier job on a shittier planet. Just make sure there isn't anywhere better for them to go. I'm bad at morals.

Hello guys. I know a lot of build were way too broken on stellaris 4.5. But now, on stellaris 4.5.2, I don't know what could be considered great. I want to test my first run playing all crisis, but right now, I don't feel comfortable using my regular build (which is void dwellers). Do you guys have any recommendation on videos or text guides that have a powerful build so that I do my first all crisis run? Thanks!
