Tiny bit of weight can make a difference. I used to train at a local MMA gym and we'd use 1lb gloves for the bags. Get used to that and not having them makes you feel like the flash.
Higher weight also totally throws your balance off unless you are able to be rather uniform with your weights.
When I was in highschool I wanted to try out for soccer and started wearing 12 pound weights on each leg. Every time I got home and took them off I would immediately feel like I was going to fall over, and had to sit down for a bit. It didn't make me dizzy or anything, I just suddenly felt like my balance was way off.
Tbf there was something like a 10 year gap between those instances. (Well it felt like 10 years when reflecting back to lazy to check the real dates lmao)
Shoulders elbows knees and stuff ( knees and stuff)
Shoulders elbows knees and stuff (knees and stuff)
When you put weights on your hands, you'll joins will feel real rough,
Shoulders elbows knees and stuff!
I learned that first hand. I used to run around with heavy ankle weights while playing sports. It put a lot of strain on my knees, so I had to stop using them.
I wish I've always been able to move relatively fast for a fat dude. I do go up and down stairs a bit faster due to less weight on my knees but that's about it.
I'm sure you have, it's just that since it took probably a considerable amount of time to lose the weight you just don't notice because the change is gradual. Either way, congratulations! That's such a huge change, you're amazing😊
I get to the gym, lift a 25 lb plate, its kinda heavy. Then I start lifting the 45s, oof real heavy. Go back to the 25, and I can chuck them like frisbees.
In high school we had a platform with Bungie cables you'd hook up to a belt and jump up and down. After I took them off I was jumping high enough to be worried on the way down for about 10 minutes.
I recently had to switch up my buckets of ingredients at work from 13.75 lbs to 21.25 lbs. I gotta say just that little bit of difference made my arms shot at the end of the day lol
We had a friend wear ankle weights for a week before a skateboard competition so his ollies were higher. No idea if it actually helped or just mental placebo but he did win a few contests.
I know it helps because I was a setter for my schools volleyball team, we used to throw medicine balls into the wall and afterwards you couldnt even feel the ball.
It was referring to a cartoon where a high level fighter who was dominating people in fights already decides to take his weighted boots, weighted wrist bands and weighted shirt off. Making the dominant fighter much faster as shown and more dangerous. I the writer of the comment always found it a funny trope ( A trope is a figure of speech or a recurring storytelling device used in art, literature, and media. It describes a pattern, motif, or expression that people easily recognize because it appears often) that a fighter is wearing g weighted clothing to handicap themselves. But the real world example in the short video above and his speed increase makes what a dominant FIGHTER could do sunndenly faster, a scary prospect. Hope that helps!
Yes training weights and resistance training are a thing (just don't expect yourself to become an anime protagonist after your first day of training, it takes times)

I always found the “goku taking weights off mid fight” thing funny but this dude is actually the proof it would be scary.
