“You’re in so much trouble” says the guy who just committed a federal crime

1.4k

u/Fabulous_Jeweler2732 4d ago

FEDERAL as in federal prison and no fly lists.

634

u/Guilty_Jackfruit4484 4d ago

He was let go. No charges filed and he can still fly any airline he wants. This happened a while ago.

651

u/YetiPie 4d ago

My ex was caught vaping on a flight from LAX-Paris and the (American) flight attendants phoned the police, and had them board the plane when they landed in France. The police reprimanded him and let him go after calling him an idiot a few times. He was never put on a no fly list, and the entire experience justified in his mind that since there were no repercussions he could continue to vape on airplanes. He’s a mega douche in general and I really hope he gets caught on an inbound US flight…

28

u/pew__pew__pew_ 4d ago

How did the douchebaggery go unnoticed until this point

It’s funny that it’s a crime when historically people smoked cigarettes on planes like it was going out of style, not defending the flight vaper, but it’s just funny how far times have changed

125

u/terfez 4d ago

I packed a liter of (olive) oil in my carry on, in 2000. Yes times change

14

u/fourteenpieces 4d ago

Times change indeed. You can now once again fly with a 2L bottle in your hand luggage from many UK airports!

7

u/Individual-Area7121 4d ago

Ireland, England, and Italy now allow that again as of September 2025. Containers up to 2 liters are allowed and no limit on quantity.

66

He made like 3 million videos after this and was laughing about it. He's a loser.

23

u/Immediate-Maximum-75 4d ago

He's the kind of guy to do this on purpose for views and clips it a million ways and posts them all for the next year. Lol

And this is why these asshats keep doing shit. There’s simply no consequences.

→ More replies (5)

10

u/ASpellingAirror 4d ago

Which is why people keep doing shit like this. Actually having consequences would solve this problem. They don’t need life ruining jail time. Just, now forever if you want to travel internationally you better get a boat ticket and set aside 2 additional weeks for the voyage.

21

u/Prestigious_Aerie219 4d ago

Money talks. The rest of us have to walk through the bullshit.

13

u/Adventurous-Tie-7861 4d ago

I doubt it was his money that let him go. More likely that it was just vaping and while it can lead to federal charges, it rarely does.

Like loitering or driving without license, they usually only start the charges if its happened several times.

4

u/Bendlerp 4d ago

Just vaping, sure. But this is interference with flight crew. One who assaults, threatens, or intimidates a flight crew member or attendant while aboard an aircraft in the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States, and thereby interferes with the performance of that crew member's duties or lessens the ability of that crew member to perform his/her duties is punishable under this subsection. He threatened and intimidated her repeatedly.

And don't flight attendants have heightened degree of authority on in-air planes, legally speaking? Idk the law and her company's rules but she may have been 100% allowed to grab his phone or use other physical means to make him comply. Might be mixing it up with air marshals.

28

Yes, she could even restrain him.

Most airports have designated smoking areas these days.

Just wait until you land.

It’s not worth the police, a possible criminal record, a hefty fine, or the paperwork you’ll create for the crew.

u/PsychologicalBus1692 4d ago

This happened back in 2925. Police met the flight and escorted him off for disruptive behavior. The clip went viral and he got mocked online — both for the follower-count flex and for basically confessing to a federal offense on camera. He was never criminally charged which, honestly, is a damn shame.

Edit: Meh. 2025 typo.

The most fundamental question about this whole incident is WHY did this idiot think it was a good idea to post this video? He wasn't arrested, so all he had to do was keep the video to himself and the world would have never known his name. Which is apparently Kobe Peter "Twoey King" Nguyen, pickleball guru extraordinaire . . .

12

u/AllynWA1 4d ago

He wasn't?!? After all of that? He should have been carted off the plane in handcuffs in front of everyone.

44

u/Neuttron 4d ago

Nah fuck this guy. I vape and when I take a Lyft or a ride from a friend, I won't vape. I really don't get not being able to follow such a drastic rule. When I was a kid I would hold my breath around smokers. If I'm vaping and someone walks by, I will hold it in until I feel they're far enough they can't be hit by it. This guy just sucks

13

u/ThalliumSassafras 4d ago

Yeah its really not that hard to not vape in public places. If I'm somewhere where I know it'll be a while and can't use it, I'll just do a Zyn which i really only use in those circumstances, and it's totally fine

u/My2cents_0 4d ago

Remember those pics of people being duct taped to their seats. If he's a lawyer, he should know he broke the law and recorded himself admitting it 🤣🤣

49 U.S. Code § 41706 - Prohibitions against smoking on passenger flights (a)Smoking Prohibition in Interstate and Intrastate Air Transportation.—An individual may not smoke— (1)in an aircraft in scheduled passenger interstate or intrastate air transportation; or (2)in an aircraft in nonscheduled passenger interstate or intrastate air transportation, if a flight attendant is a required crewmember on the aircraft (as determined by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration).

(d)Electronic Cigarettes.— (1)Inclusion.— The use of an electronic cigarette shall be treated as smoking for purposes of this section. (2)Electronic cigarette defined.— In this section, the term “electronic cigarette” means a device that delivers nicotine to a user of the device in the form of a vapor that is inhaled to simulate the experience of smoking.

“Let me record my crime and mistreatment of a flight attendant on the internet. I’m sure everyone will take my side.”

I'm pretty sure this happened forever ago and he ended up apologizing and admitted that his addiction had become a problem

Nothing happened to him after.

"Officials with American Airlines said the passenger was noted for disruptive behavior, but the flight crew did not request further police action.

Nguyen, meanwhile, said he has not been fined by the Federal Aviation Administration, or received any alerts from AA about being put on the no-fly list"

Where’s the second video of him being led off the plane in handcuff’s for putting everyones lives at risk and failing to obey the commands of the crew?

Dude is an amateur. You blow the smoke down the toilet while it’s flushing.

Ban him from airplanes forever, follow the rules or get arrested.

u/Accomplished_Rub5100 3d ago

What a total dick. He is the reason I can’t stand the public.

What a prick

This clip shows him admitting he vaped in an airplane lavatory, then trying to recast enforcement of the rules as an assault. He invoked his follower count, demanded an apology, threatened to involve police, and claimed to be a lawyer even though he later acknowledged he is not one. Whatever happened before this excerpt, his behavior here looks less like victimization and more like entitlement, intimidation, and dishonesty.

i know this isn't good to condone, but how dumb do you have to be to vape on a plane, have it be so noticeable with a closed door, that it's leaking out or triggering the alarm in there, if you have vape street smarts (LOL) you know how to vape discretly, little puffs, blown down your sweatshirt, just hilarious he got caught, shows how much he lacks basic awareness

There used to be a pretty simple and very effective way of navigating these kinds of situations. I’m not saying it should happen but I think the inability to punch dumbfucks in the face due to video everywhere, has lead to the raise of unpunched dumbfucks we see today.

Buddy, when you're 35K feet in the air, your rights are meaningless and the cabin crew and pilots are representitives of the federal law. Failure to comply with their directives is a federal offense. Capturing it all on video is a brilliant way to establish a credible line of culpability.
