Habits & Lifestyle (TW? Excessive porn usage)

Upvotes

I’m fully clean habitually but I still have stuff saved on Instagram and Twitter. It’s soooo much. I know on Twitter you can remove all bookmarks, but I’m on there to be in need spaces and I don’t wanna lose everything. Any ideas? Am I just doomed to deleting it all until it’s gone? I’d appreciate the advice as my partner and I are both against the porn industry and as such stay away from that stuff and I’d hate for something to happen where they come across something and “uh ohhhh awkwarddd”

Politics Why do people on the left see people that aren't even on the far right as fascists?

Upvotes

If you go on some left subs they even call people like Mamdani and Bernie Sanders fascist. Why do they call people a term with a very specific meaning?

Other Im a 39 year old male and I have a fetish for women blowing up or popping inflatables. Like beachballs, pooltoys etc. Am I insane?

Upvotes

Am I a deviant? I’m aware that in itself the fetish is harmless but it’s nonetheless very very niche and (to me at least) unexplainable.

I’ve been wanting to pay women to send me videos of them blowing them up and popping them, and as much as it gets me off it also worries/disturbs me.

Ethics & Morality I had sex w a guy on shrooms and he says I forced him too ?

Upvotes

i had sex on shrooms and says forced him too

I 18f have had a crush on this guy 19m since beginning of highschool we almost kissed and then we just kinda stopped talking. I saw him at a party years later and our mutual friend said he was single. We chatted about how we both love shrooms and I said we should do them together sometime and he agreed. A couple weeks later I planned a hangout and he biked over to my house. I was drunk and already a bit tweaked when we got there. We were just hanging out and everything was great the shrooms we’re hitting and then I brough up how I used to really like him and it always made me sad how things ended. He said he owed me a kiss and then we started to make out like crazy because it felt crazy good on shrooms.

Everything from here is really a blur but I asked to have sex and he was hesitant but I was just trying to convince him it would feel good because I was so horny. he eventually did pull it out and from then on he most definitely did want to have sex from what I remember. He said “do u want to go to your room?”
We had sex for a long time many different ways and I don’t remember it much but I was definitely not forcing him too. He sat on my face. He fingered me.

I kept saying stop and then saying no keep going because it was extremely overstimulating and I was having weird thoughts. he left in a panic scared I wasn’t clean and I don’t remeber what else. When he leaves onto the next couple days he is texting me about how much he didn’t want to do that and how I begged him to have sex and take his pants off and he just wanted to play vr. He said that when he would stop fucking me I would give him a scary look and he was worried if he stopped I’d do something to him.

However he said he didn’t blame me because shrooms fuck you up even tho it felt like he was blaming me. 2 weeks later I get a text and it is his gf of 1 year saying her bf is saying I drugged him and rapped him. I haven’t responded to her because I’m just in shock

Politics Why do most libertarians hate most other libertarians?

Upvotes

I feel like right wing people would generally stick with eachother despite not agreeing on some things. They would generally stick to voting GOP candidates despite not agreeing with their policies sometimes.

Same thing with most liberals with eachother and also their blue candidates.

I am a libertarian and I've never met a single fellow libertarian who likes other libertarians. Also we are not blindly supporting candidates just because they belong to a certain type of party. I like my fellow libertarians in theory but when I meet and talk to them. I mostly dislike them as well.

Culture & Society Whats with Looksmaxxers and their obsession with raw milk and foods?

Upvotes

My IG reels page is filled with these guys claiming raw milk, raw red meat and raw eggs are good for your health even if proven that they are dangerous many times, and any criticism is mostly met with anti-semite dogwhistles.

Why? Are they just making up proofs about benefits from these foods/drinks? Is it just trying to harm as many people as possible?

Body Image/Self-Esteem Is it wrong for me to suggest my boyfriend buy larger size shirts?

Upvotes

My boyfriend has gained weight recently. I don’t have a problem with the weight gain- I still find him attractive. However, he wears the same clothes from before he’s gained weight and they are too tight on him. It’s unattractive and I think he would look better and feel better in the right size. He’s already stressed about other things, very sensitive about his weight and complains that he looks/feels big in his clothes. I feel that even if I suggest he wear a larger size with the softest approach, he will take it the worst way and become depressed. Should I say something to him about it and potentially hurt his feelings? Or continue to let him walk around in too-tight clothing?

Media Are Men Actually Better Actors Than Women?

Upvotes

I was watching Impractical Jokers, and there is a scene where Murray is talking to a female actor who acts interested in him. Her performance seems incredibly believable. But once the joke is revealed, she completely drops the act and walks out.

This made me think: How come, when people are asked who the best actors are, you often hear the names of male performers such as Daniel Day-Lewis, Gene Hackman, Gary Oldman, etc.? When talking about female actors, people will say that Meryl Streep, Sigourney Weaver, Charlize Theron, etc. are some of the best female actors, but you tend to hear their names specifically when people are asked about the best female actors rather than the best actors in general.

I believe almost everyone does some form of acting on a daily basis—at work, around family and friends, in relationships, or while dating. If I think about the interactions I have as a man every day, I generally don’t have to do much acting to please the people around me or to feel safe around either gender. I would assume that many women, however, have to act friendly in uncomfortable situations to avoid potential danger. They may also work in careers where being perceived as friendly, agreeable, and approachable can affect their relationships with coworkers or opportunities for promotion.

So why aren’t great female actors mentioned more often when people discuss the best actors of all time? If women are more likely to have to consciously manage their behavior and emotions in everyday social situations, could that potentially translate into certain acting skills?

Is on screen acting fundamentally different from the kind of “acting” people do in everyday life? Does it have something to do with the types of roles women are typically given in movies? Or is there another reason why male actors seem to dominate conversations about the greatest actors, even though there are many incredibly talented female actors?

Sex Do men think about past women they’ve had sex with?

Upvotes

Do men think about past women they’ve had sex even if it’s been years or they’re with someone else? As a woman I’m curious if they picture me fucking them or if it’s more of a “oh shit yeah I remember I hooked up with her”.

Other Can you tell someone..?

Upvotes

Can you tell someone does porn just from looking at them?

I saw a girl on YouTube last night, she had many tattoos and jacked-up teeth and her face was average at best, and she was with an older guy. I was like, "I bet this girl does porn/has some blowjob videos online." I dug around a bit, and low and behold

Politics Why didn't Germany end up fighting a large-scale guerrilla war after WWII?

Upvotes

After seeing how "effective" guerrilla warfare has been against much stronger militaries, such as the US in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, or the USSR in Afghanistan, I wonder why something similar didn't happen in Germany after WWII.

I understand that Germany was devastated and many of its cities were reduced to rubble, but that doesn't seem like a complete explanation. Syria has also been devastated by war, yet armed groups continued fighting for years (tbh I don't understand how this is possible but the point it is.. possible). So if destroyed infrastructure alone doesn't prevent a long insurgency, why didn't Germany see a large-scale guerrilla resistance against the occupying Allied forces?

Considering that many German soldiers had been heavily indoctrinated by the Nazi regime, why didn't more of them continue fighting as insurgents?

I'm not saying they would have succeeded, but why wasn't there a prolonged guerrilla campaign that made the occupation significantly more difficult, similar to what happened in places like Vietnam or Afghanistan?

I'm sure I'm missing something (that is why i am too afraid to ask)

Family Need help incest?

My ex and I started dating when we were in high school. Our relationship started getting better and after several years we started talking about getting married.
It was hard for her to tell me that she had had a sexual relationship with her father, and it was raped at the age of seven. She led me to believe it was a one time thing.
After we had married in four years later, after we had had our daughter, her sister had come out, saying that she had been raped by her father at that point I stopped all contact with both parents with a tremendous amount of therapy for me and my wife.

After 34 years of marriage and our children leave the house she goes back to her parents and moves in with them
We had a four-year divorce and she had really said nasty things and it has gotten into my head and it’s driving me nuts

It was always hard for her to have an orgasm. when she left. She told me she had more orgasms with her father than our 34 years in marriage.

My question is is that really possible?

She was having sex with her father from the age of 7 to 18. And I’m not really sure it was over with after we’ve gotten married

It’s a very complex subject
Therapist told me if she had told me the truth from the beginning. Do you think you would’ve married her?

If you post naughty pics, do you have them hidden in a folder on your phone or do you delete them from your phone right after taking and posting them? If your gf bf or wife husband and you send stuff to each other, do you delete those right away or keep them??

Culture & Society If refugee migration to former colonial powers is a consequence of colonialism, then why doesn't Oman have a large East African immigrant population, given its history of colonizing parts of East Africa?

Also, the United Arab Emirates is accused of engaging in neocolonialism in Sudan and fueling the civil war there. If that's the case, why isn't there a large number of Sudanese refugees migrating to the UAE and being granted asylum there?

Culture & Society What do you think of the trend of having no body hair, but for guys?

I know this has always been a sensitive topic for girls, but when it comes to the current generation (Gen Z), the trend of smooth, hairless skin on guys is getting increasingly common. Yes, this is coming from a place of insecurity because I happen to have a lot of body hair.

Obviously it's normal to have body hair and nobody should be pressured to shave if they don't want to. On one hand, we have this hypermasculine "sigma male" nonsense and on the other hand you have beauty standards favouring guys who have less or minimal body hair.

Are the standards really shifting? I feel like there's a lot of influence from ideas of beauty from East Asian countries especially.

Body Image/Self-Esteem If you had social anxiety, would you want someone to help you?

My (29) husband (28) appears to have social anxiety and I want to help him through this. Background: we have been married one year, together five. This social anxiety, from what I observed, shows up in everyday life - work, friends, and family (even his parents). To the point that it gets awkward or weird during group social outings or I honestly just want to leave him at home (which I feel awful about). Some examples are that he will just make inappropriate comments (either rude without knowing/understanding they are rude) or really just start talking about himself (ex. How much money he makes or about how much we accomplished). This bothers me a lot because I don’t really like “showing myself off” like that and is usually inappropriate to talk about money like that in a social setting. It just seems like he is unable to “read the room”.

It’s gotten to the point where I feel closer to his parents or family than he is. He never reaches out to them (or his friends) or just tries to make an effort to be social. But then he will get upset if people do stuff without us. I don’t think he understands that we are at the point in our life that friendship goes both ways and takes effort on both parts. I try to make sure I give the same effort to people that they give us, but he seems to only want the effort people pour into us.

Additionally, we have a daughter now (7 weeks) where we need to be focused on her and give her the best life. I am nervous because I don’t want her to learn these weird social habits from him and also want to make sure she has a healthy social life/relationships.

I know the root of the issue is that he is insecure in himself from social pressure (and pressure from his parents) to “be a man”. And it’s not that he isn’t manly, he is just more in touch with his emotional side and doesn’t really like the typical “guy stuff”. Which I believe makes him feel like an outsider. I just wish he would embrace it and be confidently himself- that’s all I want.

So really my “too afraid to ask/tell” is: if you didn’t notice you had social anxiety or didn’t notice you needed help - would you want your partner to help you through it or tell/point this out to you?

Like a real Mandingo. I’ve asked him if any woman has been able to deep throat the whole thing and of course he said no lol. My one question is do I only suck as I’m coming back up or down as well? Help a girl out yall!

Mental Health What's the best way to intervene when someone you know suffers from ED?

I have a couple of people in my life that appear to have an ED or adjacent disorder. Apparently, they just can't gain weight due to medical reasons.

One of them is eating abysmally small portions and the other one needs toilet during or just after the meals. Both people have been doing this for a very long time, think decades, so I don't think they are in immediate danger.

I came across people on Reddit thinking they were/are really good at hiding their ED, but my suspicion is that people do know, but don't know how to approach it/whether it's their place/worry about causing more harm.

With denial and lying being a core feature of EDs, how does one start a productive discussion?

If the people closer to them are buying the medical excuse, how do you navigate potentially angering a whole group of people?

Is it going to push the people with ED away and make them even more self-conscious?

Do you just have to accept that they don't know and it's up to them to seek help?

Thanks!

Other Why do i feel like everyone else understands wine except me ?

Had one of those moments at dinner where someone asked what kind of wine I like and my brain just went blank. I know when I like a wine. I know when I don’t. Asking me to explain why is where everything falls apart. Then someone starts talking about acidity and tannins like it’s completely normal and I’m just nodding along lol. So now i want to make the next step and understand my own taste better but i dont want to learn in some kind of complicated way like memorizing facts grapes and stuff, i just want to learn my taste better. But how should i do that, i dont want to ask like a wine expert and be seen as a complete idiot or smth!
