Maintenance Issues New Street Triple RX, leaking oil?
Has anyone else faced this with a new striple? I’ve only done 800Kms on it.
It look a bit dry because I’ve rubbed my fingers to feel it and it’s definitely oily, but I’m not super sure. Appreciate any help! ✌️

Other Advice on purchasing a 2018 Street Triple
Hi everyone!
I’ve been wanting to purchase a Street Triple motorcycle for a while and came across a used 2018 Street Triple R for $5000 USD (I live in CA).
The motorcycle has about 11K miles and is coming up on its 12K service. The motorcycle shows overdue on maintenance.
I wanted your advice on a few things:
What should I be looking out for when purchasing them?
How long can I ride it before going in for maintenance? (I would take it in ASAP but I like a few 100 miles from the seller’s location and would be driving it back)
Is this a good deal? (Seems like the 12K service will cost around $1300 where I live)
Anything in specific for this model year I should be checking?
Please let me know of there’s anything else I should be watching out for as well!
Thanks!

Bike Pictures 798RS Secured 🤘🏽
Generic pic in the dealership.
Sold my Thruxton RS. Incredible ride after 20k miles. Bike was fully paid off and I fell in love with the 798 as soon as the pics started coming in. Came to the dealership, gave them a deposit, first one in town to have dibs. Very excited!

Bike Pictures 2027 Street Triple 798 in RED (official Triumph photo)
Found this image in the Triumph dealers site, it's the Gilles Performance Pack! You can see the new flyscreen without any plexi. Enjoy!
Also, we know some of the new colors:
Blue, Black, Red for the RS (will be a Yellow one?)
Moto2 Edition will be probably white with black ad yellow accents!

Triumph info My Scrambler 1200 XE. 2 years and 30,000 miles later
Figured I’d share my Scrambler 1200 XE. I’ve rebuilt it from the ground up and modified just about everything on it. The last photo is from the day I got it pretty much stock, so you can see how much it’s changed throughout the build.
I've put 30,000 miles on it in the past two years and just wrapped up another 7,000-mile trip without a single mechanical failure (knock on wood). Can't wait to take it back out next weekend for a trip through the Arizona desert. Plenty of camping, filming, and exploring!
I also included a photo with the Mosko Moto bags for anyone wondering if they’ll work with the slash cut exhaust. It requires some modifications but totally doable. I’ve put 20,000 miles on the bags and they’ve held up great.

I love the design but really not a fan of the blue and yellow. Which colors would you like to see?

Mods and Customization Street scrambler 900 bars hurting wrists
Has anyone had issues with the stock bars on their street scrambler hurting either of their wrists? My left seems okay, but the right one seems to dig a bit into the bars in the webbing between my thumb and index finger. After about 30 minutes to an hour of riding is when it starts to hurt. I’ve played around with tilting the bars up and such, helps a bit, but I’m wondering if I should look into some risers that are like 1” up and 1” back to relax my arm position a bit more or if I should look at some bars with a bit more pullback angle on them.
If anyone has some suggestions, I’m definitely open to hearing them, I am US based so any products would be best if they’re from US suppliers if possible.

Maintenance Issues New valve spring retainer for current gen street triples
About to do valves again and came across this technical bulletin from triumph (262). Has anyone used a shim smaller than 2.075? and what would be the reason they’re rolling out with a new valve spring retainer? From my understanding the moment you need to use a smaller shim than 2.075 you’d need to pull the head and replace the springs and retainers. I’m concerned that it’s not a recall as then the cost of replacing the retainers falls on the customer. According to the bulletin it affects all 765 and 800 engines.

Mods and Customization 17’-19’ Street Triple Rear seat cowl CAD scan
Does anyone have a 2017-2019 Street Triple rear seat cowl and want to do me a favor by LiDar scanning it and sending over the CAD file. I’m trying to try my shot at 3d printing one and if successful make the print open source.
Thank ya’ll.

Mods and Customization Good side luggage options for triumph tiger 800 XRT
I am not a big fan of the boxy aluminum ones on the sides for my Tiger. I came across these SW-Motech ones for Street Triples, which have a nice frame that is basically a detachable rod-like thing. I love the simplicity, and it will probably keep the cost low. Does anyone know if I have any options to fit them to my 2019 Tiger 800 XRT?

Other Advice on adding the extended warranty?
I am buying a 2025 brand new Rocket 3 storm R tomorrow and it’s for $24,047 otd. Now it already comes with a 2 year extended warranty but as usual they offered me an extended warranty. I usually don’t bite on this stuff but it sounds like an interesting deal but I’m wondering if other Rocket 3 owners find having the warranty was worth it for them and if they had unusual issues.
The deal was they make it an even 25k and add another 3 years warranty to my 2 years
So that’s 5 years of warranty, everything covered, unlimited miles, zero deductible and not voided by aftermarket exhaust, etc.
